It's not shown in this clip where the teacher was a jerk but he was also right about the students. Ray is right too and mom was trying to be more of a friend. Everyone was right but didn't handle it quite right. Very human, which is why the show is so good.
A perfect example of a comment in the Writers Room. “Here’s what happened with my daughter last year.” When daughter sees that episode she doesn’t speak to dad for two weeks.
I know Ray is kind of stupid and doesn't take things seriously, but he is probably the smartest of all in this episode. Debra just blames Ally because the teacher is an adult and thinks that adults are smarter and more clever and just takes the teacher's side. Now Marie you know how she is. Robert I don't blame because he had that childhood where he had to deal with the fact that he was last in the original family (Before Debra came). Frank grew up with the Korean War and just keeps his mind with being tough out of everybody he knows. Amy is a little corny to tell you the truth. I'm sure Ray understood because his childhood in school. Especially the time with the pencil to look at his teachers legs. He is the closest to get what being a child.
Not just this episode he's quite smart and clever in many. Ray's biggest problem he's just overly codependent combine that with the overly parenting he received from Marie and well ya know?
