After your first match with Ocelot in the original MGS, he says "You're Pretty Good, just what I'd expect from the man with the same code as The Boss." Ocelot's line in this game is a callback to that. Also slightly a spoiler, but you'll have to figure that one out yourself. I definitely don't want to ruin the deep lore of the Series.

Not sure if the version is different, but somehow, I remember playing this game and it started with the Raiden mask on! It was like a fake-out, even them using the name Jack. Then he takes off the mask. Everyone was sick of Raiden at this point and wanted Snake back haha. Especially after how you hardly play him in MGS2. Kojima teasing us.
