For what it’s worth, they’ve changed it from Atlantis to Talocan, the mythical Aztec city, and are leaning into the Central and South American mythology in order to differentiate from Aquaman.

These reactions make me so happy. To see fans of all shapes, sizes and races excited for this movie. It's heartwarming, especially when we we made to believe that people will not be invested in movies with a predominantly black cast. I love how everybody has proven that to be untrue. I've never understood people's problem with the wings. It comes from ancient Greek mythology, of course, so I love the reference as a mythology nerd but since Namor has superhuman strength so would his little wings. Personally, I thought that shot of him flying in was rather terrifying and impressive and everything it should be. What about Ironheart though? The whole thing just looks amazing.
Spoiler: There are going to be lots of peoples complaining, crying and hating this movie because "is not t'he movie Chadwick deserved"... But I'm sure that this is going to be t'he BEST tribute to him and one of the most emotional and well-done films of the MCU. These trailers have felt very different compared to the other Marvel trailers we've gotten. The raw emotion, the action, the characters...I have a great feeling this movie will be a masterpiece
I was holding it together until the very end where she drops down out of the ship just like T'Challa did the first time we saw him as Black Panther, then i lost it.
They showed Shuri as Black Panther in the trailer (outside chance it's Nakia) -- and the big reveal in the movie will be Doom. Doctor Doom killed T'Challa, and framed Atlantis. The two nations, or at least Namor/Shuri/Okoye/Ironheart/MBaku team up in the climax to fight Doom, he escapes, and we set up our villain for the future. After Kang, most likely. If there's anyone who can survive a multiversal war in the background, it's Doom. OR...Doom becomes the MCU equivalent of Master of the World in Kang Dynasty. Helps the Avengers survive Kang long enough for Secret Wars -- then it's gloves off.
Based on the trailer, I don't think Namor's feet wings let him "fly" exactly. They can slow down a descent, but the thing i noticed was near the end. He charged one of Wakanda's flyers and he seems to leap around in the air rather than actually fly. Maybe their beating compress the air under him so he can "jump" off if them? I don't know but it looks cool either way.

If they keep it somewhat canon, then Shuri DOES put on the mantle, but keep in mind she only donned the suit TEMPORARILY in the comics, she didn't stay the Black Panther! So saying it doesn't make sense really doesn't seem fair because we DON"T know how they will make it work. ....just keep an open mind.

I have not studied Black Panther at all - but the vocalization that started when they revealed the new Panther - I seem to recall a variation of that playing in the first film when Okoye was kicking ass in the casino. So maybe her?
While I agree it's most likely Shuri, but what about Nakia? The big thing about this film is that it's going to be a chance for all of us to grieve the loss of Chadwick - I'm certain that there wasn't much acting required by the cast for the funeral scenes.

In the comics he can levitate without moving them, they just help stabilize him IIRC

So, I just rewatched the trailer with captions active. One of the voices is identified as Riri Williams. My enthusiasm for this movie just evaporated.
