I started shouting and crying simultaneously when this dropped. The Guardians are my favorite hero’s (besides spidey) all thrown together in a misfit team full of laughs but more importantly full of heart. This movie is going to be one of very few to have me in tears I can already feel it.
Marvel delivering another classic character with the introduction of the High Evolutionary with Adam Warlock on top of that, Gunn is going out on the highest of notes. It will be interesting to see how they handle Warlock without the soul gem because that’s a huge part of his story. Lock yourselves in fellas, a wild ride is about to begin
This is the one project that at SDCC made me ugly cry, as the footage they showed was even more emotional and the cast on stage had 7,000 crying so much..
I’m sad they didn’t release the SDCC trailer because it was sooooooo good! I was sobbing…but this one didn’t have quite the same emotional pull 😩 still good though!

Guardians Vol 1 quickly became my favorite Marvel movie, and I loved Vol 2 every bit as much. Seeing this trailer, I’m confident I’ll love Vol 3 just as much, if not more. I can’t wait!
The holiday special was Happy and this movie is gonna be sad. I’m so unbelievably excited but also at the same time extremely scared I know this movie is gonna rip out my heart.
The villain is the High Evolutionary-we saw that town (planet?) of his evolved animals known as the New Men in the comics. Normally they're on Mt. Wundagore, but they wisely separated that in Dr. Strange 2, as these animal people raised actual-616 Wanda and Pietro. So possibly Rocket and that otter were some of the Evolutionary's earlier experiments?

The High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji from Peacemaker) is the main villain of the film. His base of operations in the comics is Mt. Wundagore, but it looks like it'll be Counter-Earth in this movie (that's the suburb with the animal-human hybrids). The High Evolutionary will be the one who created those hybrids and Rocket in pursuit of creating perfection. Adam Warlock and the Sovereign will likely be secondary and Adam likely will ultimately go on to side w/ the Guardians in the end and go on to be a major part of the new team, as it seems likely that we'll lose at least a couple Guardians in this one
The High Evolutionary created Rocket Racoon and Adam Warlock. Adam is probably his defender even though in Guardians 2 its the "Gold People" The Sovereign who created him but we'll see. The High Evolutionary is a great villain for the Guardians because if they're running its probably from him. That town they land in with all the Anthropomorphic creatures is his handiwork, (maybe). What a random song from Spacehog "In The Meantime".
I think they landed on Counter Earth, a planet placed by the High Evolutionary (the silent black guy) where he experimented iperevolution of animals into the so called New Men: Rochet is one of the iperevoluted animals made by the High Evolutionary
After your comment of having to come back for the Transformers trailer, I knew this sequence of increasing annoyance at the new trailers drops coming, and what a thrilling trilogy that was to enjoy.
I think most people are hyped for the emotions and probably the action and humor too but I'm most excited seeing an otter!!! That made me so happy! And fluffy baby Rocket too! Ahhh!
2023 is going to be an absolute MCU madhouse - What If 2, Ant Man 3, Secret Invasion, Guardians 3, Echo, Loki 2, The Marvels, Ironheart, Agatha, and probably at least 1 or 2 surprise specials.
Have to say, would not surprise me if in them doing Rockets story in this, if it's kind of an homage to him and He's the one we lose in this film. Which for me, out of every character, would be the hardest loss for me to handle. In fact after watching the trailer again, Rockets words about flying away one last time into the forever. it will probably be him or Quill making the ultimate sacrifice. In a way, would be fitting conaidering where Rocket came from abd only caring about himself to making the ultimate sacrifice for his "family" would be such a perfect ending but so heartwrenching.. It's going to be so awesomely hard, already tearing up
You all need to have Grace splice all three Transformers/Indy/Guardians into a Palooza with time stamps of when you all were recording vs when Jay left,etc. just as a separate post. It is a funny progression already but throwing real time reality into it would be fun to see.

The last Disney-Marvel movie I watched was End Game, but i'll be coming back for this one. James Gunn is a cinematic genius, and I hope Disney hurts with Gunn's departure.

Dave Bautista has already said that Volume 3 is his last time playing Drax…..I think that’s where the tears and screaming are coming from.

My theory is that Rocket gets captured for dissection, starlord and Groot goes to save him, but they’re too late which is what I think 3:26 is.
