This episode got me so amped up.....then absolutely crushed my heart at the end. It was a little Carrie vibe but it was so well done and was an amazing call back to episode 1 when Bruce said "Once people start seeing you as a monster that never goes away....". The finale is going to be amazing for sure

It also calls back to what Jen was saying that you can't get angry as a woman, or you will be labelled as the problem ("hysterical"). Tragically, I think we're going to see that next episode. She'll get charged with property damaged, and her accusations against Josh will be ignored, as if she "deserved" it ("well, you did sleep with him, didn't you?").

Jen's final confused stare at the camera as the episode closed really got me. She's going to get smeared in the press and Intelligencia is going to gloat all over it.

that last scene... i immediately burst into tears seeing how hurt, panicked and angry she was. That is such a gross violation to be recorded during intimate acts without your knowledge. I honestly wish they would have included this in the content warning somehow cause I really didn't expect them to go that far with it and was so not ready for it so it triggered me super hard.
Unfortunately...that was the point. Nobody would understand if they saw it coming. The idea was to make all of us feel what she was feeling...and the only way to do that, is to spring it by surprise.

Or to just face it and fight it it, until either it is burned out, or you are. The key in that case, is to have a lot of sincere and competent support...of which there is precious little in our civilization.
The only other possibility is to let it fester.

I knew something was up when the episode content listed “strong sexual content” but I was floored when I realized it meant *that*
God, I wish there wasn't only one more episode. If we had a whole series of Jen and Matt dueling each other in the courtroom that would've been amazing. Charlie Cox really slipped back into the role like no time at all had passed!

This episode ending was more unsettling to watch. Episode 7 was hard, but this was even worse.
And other than the use of a giant screen, it's a very real thing, which is terrifying to consider. People have been intentionally driven to suicide and the perpetrators celebrate it. Disgusting.

Charlie and Tatiana had such great chemistry here. This was the kind of episode that I was hoping for with this show. The ending of course...Bruce warned her about people seeing She Hulk as a monster. Really curious to see the finale now.

If we thought last week's episode made us hate Josh, this one took it to a new level.
I literally started jumping up and down for joy when Matt walked through the courtroom door. It's so good.
I love how Jen and Matt went toe-to-toe on and off the court. Charlie Cox is such a charming guy. I hope Jen shows up in his show. Jen looking at us so distraught at the end was so upsetting.
The end of the episode just made my skin crawl, so absolutely skeevy and evil.

In Ms. Marvel, they said something alone the lines of they are always monitoring super powered people in case they every flip out. I think it was public knowledge that She-Hulk was getting the lawyer award so they are probably nearby since it's an extremely crowded place.

Yeah as others have said it was either an entire setup by Intelligencia or we're led to believe Damage Control is just that "aware". Considering how they hunted down Ms. Marvel for the ego of one agent it honestly could go either way.
I really need Jen to show up in DD: Born Again now. Their chemistry is off the charts!
I’m a 31 year old man and I when Matt Murdock showed up in court I screamed like a little girl at the sight of their favorite pop star.
I absolutely love that Matt is in a much happier place in his life in this universe. Seeing Daredevil actually cracking jokes while still being the most badass dude in the room was something I never thought I needed. And he made the gold suit look super cool! Though I hope he gets his red and black suit by the time he shows up in Echo. And his chemistry with Jen is so great that I hope she shows up in Daredevil: Born Again.
As for Jen, when Bruce told her that the moment they see you as a monster that’s all they’ll see Jen didn’t take that warning seriously enough. Then again I probably would’ve ripped those guys in half like Juggernaut did to Deadpool. Revenge p*** is one of the most disgusting, reprehensible and unforgivable things anyone can do, and I hope these “Intelligencia” incel pricks get exposed and torn to pieces.
Daredevil was EXCELLENT in this episode. He was more lighthearted than we’re used to but I think it worked really well. It was a nice tweak for the tone of the show but it also felt like a natural progression from where he left off in season 3.
And on top of that we got some insane world building with the Sokovia Accords thing, Red Hulk tease, yet another Wolverine nod, and the Intelligencia stuff. And the complete 180 in tone at the end was done beautifully. Good to see Banner’s warning of losing control in ep 1 coming back around. What a great episode 👏🏻
I loved him. Tho please tell me in not the only person that didnt like how super human-ey he was in in the fight against she-hulk. He is great but he does not move like that (added with the cgi)
@@DeskIsUndead I'm sure you arent the only one. But I'll say I do find that such a boring critique. You don't take "standing and punching" daredevil from the netflix and not pump up his powers for entering a world with legit superheros. Netflix matt is dead going up against shehulk.
He really wasn't even much more light hearted or comedic. He acted similarly with foggy and Karen countless times throughout the netflix show. It's not like he was making fart noises and going "womp womp" when serious stuff was happening. He wasn't even "quippy" he was just flirty and sarcastic at times.

I've never really vibed with Matt's fight choreography in Netflix (don't get me wrong; it's _fantastic,_ and you can see it's a mix of his father and Stick's training) --but it's just too hard on a body with no super-toughness. He'd never last in the Hero business. This is the guy who's senses/balance are so fine, he can call "heads" _before you even flip the coin._ I'm glad to see them showing that off. Remember why he's "The Man Without Fear"? 'Cause he swings around New York skyscrapers on a thin cable *with no visible superpowers* (unlike, say, _Spider-Man_).
I mean, it's not Hell's Kitchen. And considering the bad guy he's chasing is an idiot, he probably can afford to relax a bit.

So many channels out here making themselves look foolish keeping up there "this show ruins everything" takes trying to pretend daredevil wasnt absolutely incredible in this episode. It's crazy.
They will come up with excuse only Daredevil saved this series.
Yeah one of my favorite things is people who act like She Hulk "was all about ruining men", like bro, Daredevil was on point, was given all the setup to absolutely destroy her in court, and almost got away IF NOT FOR THE MOVE HER COUSIN THE MALE HULK TAUGHT HER IN EPISODE ONE WHILE SHE WAS RUINING ALL MEN! Adam and Jay mentioned it at some point, I believe it was the Bruce and Jen talk, about how "They're both right", that was the point, they both have points! Neither one is necessarily wrong! That's good writing, not "emasculating all men" or whatever nonsense these idiots pass around. By the end of this episode you can very clearly say Bruce gets "more right" over the course of the series. These dudes are just taught to hate something so they do, it's sad.
Best episode so far. The chemistry between Matt and Jen was immense. Also interesting how a lot of what Bruce said in the first episode has now come back around especially the "Once they see you as a monster that never goes away."
I may be wrong but the last shot of the show is Jen looking at us, the audience, and realizing that she is going out of control. A very poignant 4th wall break, if I am not reading too much into it.
Oh I read it as a 4th wall break but she was scared and confused and almost pleading in the last second. She was asking us for help. It struck me right in the chest.
The fact that "Fridged" is now in the lexicon of not only DC but Marvel is amazing. Im so glad she said it so we can talk about it. SO GOOD.
The subtext is gold. Hulk smash = heroic. She Hulk smash = emotional
Especially when, if you think about, what did she really do? Smashed screens that were showing revenge porn *of her*, smashed though a wall, and grabbed a guy, who she let go of almost immediately. I know it's cliche but: SHE-HULK DID NOTHING WRONG!

Two top tier actors setting the screen on fire with wit and natural chemistry. Can’t ask for a better episode. It’s like how I felt when Kate and Yelena shared some mac n cheese and an elevator in Hawkeye. Comic gold.

I kinda love Jen not knowing how to take Matt’s suit off, it’s like the opposite of a guy not knowing how to take off a girl’s bra. Combined with Matt’s walk of shame/stride of pride, we get two nice role reversals this episode 👍
I like how it somehow looped back around to Jenn having a moment where she in fact couldn't manage her anger and went a little too hard on the Hulk rage. Will be cool to see how it concludes, maybe with some reminiscing about what Bruce told her.
Yep it seems like thqts the underlining line throughout. I remember in the fiirst episode where the incel crowd lost their mind cause she snapped and started going off about mansplainung and catcalling whilst talking to bruce she turned from jen to hulk and the losers thought that was the writers just complaining about men but it was meant to show that jen in fact does have an issue controlling her anger whether she realizes it or not. I was totally expecting a scene where she snapped and she got a taste of the fear others have around her because she can be very scary just like bruce.

Okay but this episode was the most perfect translation of a comic book into a live format. Like, the movies tend to capture the big, dynamic crossover events, sure, but this was absolutely an average comic brought to life in the very best way.

I think the worst thing about Intelligencia is how real they are. They aren't supervillains. Countless women have been through the exact same thing.

Daredevil has always been Marvel's broody boy and it's when he's at his best. But, every once in a while you get a fun Daredevil and it was nice to see how well Charlie Cox portrayed that version of the character as well. Such a great episode and loved y'alls reaction to it. Especially when you called the walk of shame, lol.
I was wondering why damage control was there fast too but then I realized the people who set up the tv showing probably called them in advance because they had hoped she would get angry.

I loved Daredevil, but I'm glad that on this show Charlie Cox got to show he can handle more lighthearted material. It was really great seeing him again. I have missed him so much. So glad Matt Murdock is back in the MCU.

In my defense, I didn't have access to Netflix until recently so I missed a lot (The only thing I've watched from Marvel's Netflix before is the first season of Jessica Jones)
