X100 pro is beating iphone & samsung left right and centre, but the only long term review I see of samsung & iphone. Techbar broke the pattern and did a well deserved long term review of x100 pro, come on ershad you can do it as well.
I had thought that vivo x100 Ultra will beat S24 Ultra clearly because it has a bigger sensor and is camera centric phone.. But, surprisingly they seems to be so close. And overall, Samsung is a better phone in other areas.
Coz vivo x100U isn't still optimised in some reviews it performs worser than the X100pro

@@vedahinave Considered. Its smaller model is going for 90k in Flipkart. Ultra would be atleast 110k. That is around same price you can get s24 Ultra with offers.
Also, S24 Ultra bring a lot more to the table than just the cameras. I personally didnt like Vivo's OS. It felt cheap while I loved samsungs. Also 7 years updates makes this s24 valuable for resale too.

Only a few people buy phones specifically for camera, most want a complete phone. ie, samsung
and what's incomplete about vivo compared to samsung lmfao? samsung can't even get their face unlock right or keep the screen ON while looking at it, it works as bad as in my old s10.

Security? you aware samsung keyboard records everything in the clipboard including screenshots with no way of disabling it and even when using 3rd party keyboards and EVEN inside secure folder WHICH IS SUPPOSE TO BE A PRIVATE ISOLATED SPACE? Or that when you remember a password is sent over to their cloud instead of storing it locally encrypted like vivo or huawei ?
Try face unlock and enable the option to keep screen on while looking at it and see how is a hit and miss.
Updates? I got android 14 for half a year and I'm not keeping a phone for more than 2 years anyway, I know is easier for samsung to give more updates since they release 99% the same phone every year, updating s24 ultra means already 95% of work done for s21 ultra. Android has peaked anyway so there no meaningful updates to change your experience and if someone wants to hack your phone it will do it no matter how many security updates you have, look at apple, it was hackable by a simple sms message with no interaction and was exploited 2 years before kaspersky found out about it.

I would still say the difference in all areas is not too much ...I was expecting the 200mp sensor to blow away samsung in the zoom area ...it is still very close to x100 pro which is the best value for money at this point .
The problem I guess is when you increase the megapixel count for telephoto lens you have to proportionally increase the sensor size to get a meaningful improvement in image quality ...pixel binning smaller pixels does not improve image quality...the size of the binned pixels have to be larger ...now when you have a large sensor the light needs to be focussed on a larger area and so the periscope structure needs to be long ...the phones simply don't have the space to have that kind of length for the periscopes ...I suspect Vivo had to reduce the periscope from 4.2 x to 3.7 x to focus light on the larger sensor .....
Tetra prism is going to be the next interesting space especially when it is coupled with a movable external lens like the old samsung S4 zoom which manually moved to achieve 10x without a periscope....
They could explore this in combination with tetra prism tech to achieve a smooth mechanical moving structure with an optical zoom from 1x to 10x on a super expensive 200mp one inch sensor ....in the future ... although it might increase the thickness of the camera...so in effect they can have only one sensor that does everything...from 1x to 10x and then the regular digital zoom till 100x ...
This would be the next interesting innovation in smart phone photography space .
Please include Oppo Find X7 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Ultra too to make a complete package of Ultra Flagships.

VIVO is going all out when it comes to camera performance. i think, VIVOX100Pro is already good enough to compete with the likes of S24ULTRA or any other flagships out there. I got my X100pro and camera is just awesome, even better than iPhone15 or S24ULTRA in the night time. Personal experience!

Vivo X100 pro has better cameras compared to the ultra variant which is yet to have software updates to optimize its cameras.
Also, look at video recording finesse in a mega comparison. Also include the Xiaomi 14 ultra and Find X7 Ultra as it may encourage Oppo to launch the latter in India.
With the information provided the samsung had the better overall camera, winning at 3.7 isn't enough, the presenter clearly stated the vivo is inconsistent and loses in uw, video etc, and never used the different modes. I get liking how the camera shoots in auto, doesn't mean it can provide the best results.

Day by day the brand is moving forward, I think it won't be too long before Vivo can be compared to Samsung and iPhone.

All rounder in what ? Worst battery, slower than the cheap iqoo 12, slow charging speed comapred to others and now bad camera quality compared to others. They got greedy after the s23 series fame and decided to reduce production cost and increase profit
Weakest performer against all of 8 gen 3 products , got smashed by iphone in major camera departments. I love android systems but s24 u was such a disappointment this year. Doesn't justifies that premium price tag.

I prefer ultra because I need a super phone not just a camera. If I want a camera I will go for canon in that budget not for a mobile.
You know we are at a point of time where specs doesn't matter anymore, almost all mid range phones can fly through tasks easily. The raw power on phones has improved a lot in past few years. The flagships are capable of editing 4K 60 fps files now in the phone itself, even good laptops used to struggle. What makes me interested is how the camera performs, a very in depth comparison perhaps with the best of the best, in photos a lot of things comes into consideration, the lighting, timing of the day, the subject etc etc so not all photos from each phones comes out the same and hence its very situation specific. Almost all flagships capture decent pictures, very useable and worth the premium I assume but when it comes to video the improvement is lacking.
No matter the hardware, there's something lacking. Compare to iphones 4K60 with lens switching ability and high dynamic range video capture and pro res and what not, I wish android phone companies stepped up. I know the video in talk is comparing it with the S24 but neither is on par, there's this last 5-10% that they could never achieve in the past 2/3 years. Its always the catching game against Apple. You charge a lakh for a phone which takes brilliant photos but gets beaten by a 50K 2 year old iphone in videos and that is not even the pro model.
The stability and dynamic range of the videos is what should be a considering factor nowadays, almost all phones can take good pictures is all am saying. The Vivo X100 pro didn't even come with 4k video recording in the front cam, only after a major uproar they made it available via a software update, even then people feel like its not true 4K and only an upscaled version.
I feel like its just companies cramp in the latest chipset and a bunch of over the top hardware and useless collaborations in these devices and work very little with the software experience and don't give a shit about anything else and call it a flagship killer and then charge over a lakh.
The reason why photos are good are because of computational photography, basically really good software taking multiple photos and combining it together. This is how phones are now taking photos on par or sometimes better than mirrorless cameras.
But doing that for video is harder as you have to do that process atlest 30 times per second, and also keep coherence, like you cannot change one frame too much that it stands out from next frame. This is significantly harder to do. This is also why AI's have now mastered to make photos, but not videos.
Apple has mastered this software, while most android phone companies do not put that much effort into software. However, Samsung's s24 Ultra has matched Apple in this in my opinion. And in some situations Apple's footage is just trash unusable, like see videos taken at night with any light in the scene, Apple will have green gobbles moving around the screen resulting in unusable footage. This is due to their bad lens flare problem. Meanwhile, S24 Ultra do not have this problem, thus resulting in usable footage. I think within one more generation, all other phone companies will also catch up.
But, still we have not acheived perfection. I think we need around 1.3inch sensors to finally beat mirrorless cameras under $2000.
@@ksh6 Videos have become a great part of our lives now just like the need for good photos started becoming important in the past few years. Mobile photography has come a long way, from a 2MP camera on my Sony Ericsson K750 to this 200MP behemoth. I hate it when reviewers don't dig deep into the video capability, the niche features and software customizations that come with the specific phone.
The Apple's low light footage issue with the lens flaring is a hardware issue and not a software issue but non the less it is still the undisputed video king, if companies wanted to put a lot of resource into their R&D dept to beat Apple's video processing they would just like Vivo has developed a lot in just 2/3 years in the mobile photography segment. From being a bottom feeder to one of the best is mind blowing, this particular review doesn't even show the full potential of X100 Ultra, what I hate about Indian tech youtubers is like they follow a script for all the comparison videos and there's not much to look forward to, its all blanket statements like, crushing the shadows to blowing the highlights again and again and again... It's the same shit. They will make the video just above 10min mark to be able to monetise it and not put much effort into putting in more indepth analysis and comparision, even raw samples for videos for the Ultra wide cameras instead of 2 photos would be better than this comparison where they basically skipped the comparison of the ultrawides.
I hope on coming years the video segment is taken seriously on phones especially by reviewers, I don't want to look at 50 pictures side by side from 3 different lenses and then watch 2 videos to show that yes this over priced phone can indeed shoot 4k60fps and that's all you need to know. No talk about action mode, no talk about EIS stabilization, no talk about highlight clipping, no talk about dynamic range while shooting against strong background sunlight etc etc.
Honestly am just waiting for Ben's gadget reviews and there's a few other niche tech youtubers who do proper comparisons.
I still think that VIVO X100 ULTRA needs few update to optimize its camera. In multiple other videos I saw it took photos or videos which inferior compared to Vivo X100 PRO.
