    As a former circus acrobat who had a lot of handbalancer friends, I'm honestly floored by the frogs! The level of training and skill it takes just to balace that long is quite high, but to do hops and that many steps at once is just plain astronomical. Chinese acrobats are on a whole different level (several were my coaches back in the day), so I guess I shouldn't be so shocked, but still, holy heck!

      if you have a good upper body / core strength you won't feel pain at the wrists! When you do, it's because you aren't realising well the force on your abdomen/ arms

    Ok the Froggy's had me cracking up because they actually looked like frogs when they were jumping. The one where they were using their hands was so good and kinda makes me want to try that as well.

    I love that they are actually doing the correct choreo but with their hands! The little pas de chats, and petit jetes were cute and funny!

    I have seen the frogs & the hands one too. The frogs is a family favorite. My kids have taken ballet for like 7 years & are also acrobatic gymnasts & they watch the frogs all the time. 🐸🐸🐸🐸

    Do you remember when you reacted to the Chinese state circus ballerina on that guy’s head?
    The frogs were from the same acrobatic company, they did the *ENTIRE BALLET* the whole thing is on TH-cam and I’m dying for you to react to it!!

    The frog routine was like Cirque de Soleil. And the mini ballet hand dancing was super cute.

    • @SeabassFishbrains
      @SeabassFishbrains ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cirque du Soliel very rarely gets that caliber of acrobats. Their contacts are awful so a lot of top tier circus performers have been staying away from them for over a decade now so most of their performers are former non-circus pro athletes that Cirque takes in and trains to fill roles. The few good Cirque shows that are left are shows like Corteo where they must have done some major bargaining as they were able to bring back most of the original cast.

    The first video is the Chinese acrobatic swan lake and I NEED you to react to the pas de deux!!!! I saw it live as a little girl. I was about 8 year old ballerina and we watched from a box, I cried! Hands down the best thing I have ever seen in dance ever. The video is amazing but it doesn't do it justice!

    I adore you! Lolol 😁! Are you still doing the virtual fitting program? I'm in Washington state, so getting to you would be a bit difficult, and I would LOVE it if you could do more of an assessment as to what shoe you feel might best work for me more than anything. I was using a Grishko(?spelling) and can't remember the style; however, I have short toes and more of a square foot if that helps - Lolol, it's been a while since they were still called 'Grishkos', and not the other name you mentioned in a video a little while ago. Apologies for blathering on and on! Lolol 🙂! I hope this gift helps a little, and I think you and I somehow had the same teachers from back in the day! ROFL 🤣!
    If you are able to do a virtual session, please let me know how to make arrangements for that and pay you. I can send you my information on your official website or call you. Thank you so much for all your amazing videos and sage advice to young dancers! Love it! You're awesome!

    OMG! The frogs were insane! I took acrobats and as a teen my teacher desided to use me as a guiniea pig to learn an elbow stand. Just that trick, not on hands but elbows strained every abdominal muscle! I can't imagine the amount of pain they went through learning this!

  • @christinacody8653
    @christinacody8653 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    2:58 I'm getting "Up and Over it" vibes. For those not in the know, they're a pair of Irish dancers that have made a name for themselves taking what used to be their way to mentally practice an irish step routine when not performing or in a space to practice it (ballet dancers in ny might relate). It a percussive routine in their case, but it reminds me of this.

    • @mckennygay2819
      @mckennygay2819 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I recommend using some resistance bands to help strengthen your feet and ankles to help support you! Place the resistance band along the ball of your flexed foot and stretch the ends towards your body, then roll your feet through to a point. Gradually increase the strength of the bands as it gets easier to roll through. Plenty of demonstration videos online to help guide you too, I hope this helps!

    Not related to this video, but i have a question lol. How long are pointe shoes good if they are still in the plastic and the nylon bags the gaynors come in? The dance wear store i used to work at has unfortunately closed but we still have a lot of older (within the last 5-10 yrs) gaynors that we want to try to sell but someone said they wouldn't be any good because the box and shank would have softened over time, especially since the store is damp feeling, but they have been in factory packaging as well as in plastic shoe boxes. Are they still usable? HELP!! 😂
