I can't believe I found this! I've been trying to play Getting Drunk but I miserably failed, was so delighted when you did the tutorial at the end, totally unexpected. Thanks a lot boss!
I think the chords you're playing at the end of the lesson are- Db min6 C dim b13 (or B13b9) B min7 Bb7#9 (or E13b5b9) I included the chords in parentheses only because those chord shapes appear in the Mickey Baker book as inversions. Just in case this helps anyone.
Very cool lesson! I've just really started to explore JGW. He was amazing. Thanks for the lessons! I didn't know he used a capo. His spanky tone sounds like all fingers,....no pick.....which is nice.
Almost every one of these old-time guys had some unique way to play - which is what makes each one, well, unique. The capo style is really powerful - when done right. Johnny Guitar Watson and Guitar Slim both used one - you can tell by how they always play in the E position. Using the fingers is an art that I have never learned. But, that's part of why he sounded the way he did. Thanks!

Thanks! I'm bad at knowing the names of chords. I can play them, but I often confuse their names.

Slim and Watson are also my favourites. I've heard that they've done some concerts together. I wish i've been there. I love Jimmy Vaughan as well ;o)
