    Great video!
    About 2 years ago, one of my sons lost his wife and 2 kids when they were hit by a challenger hellcat and mustang that were partaking in a street take over thing. Hes a Veteran, Recon and Raider Marine. Engineering/Mech passion. After his families untimely passing he was so very very lost. He sold their home, and moved into a ford econoline van. He kept working and saving. He found a small former rv park that was converted into a tinyhouse community, and he took over ownership. The park had 8 hotel rooms as well, that he now rents out to elderly folks at discounted rates.
    Last month, had the parks structures repainted, new appliances and furniture in communal area and new gym space, with 2 converted shipping containers. He hired 2 other local Vets to work security gate entry one daytime, one nighttime. He decided to start wearing a park uniform haha, he decided to feed his inner geek, he looks like a knock off rei employee. Instead of green and khaki, he wears a red shirt and khaki hahaha. He gifted residents hiking and camping stuff to get folks active. Hahaha. But anyhoots, he got rid of his mismatched power tools, his handtools which were from walmart.
    He purchased a USMC branded GMTK from snap on new used for 1200, he added those fancy snap on plier sets, he added metric stuff all from harbor freight all quinn/icon. His extra wrenches were wright tools, misc maintainment handtools from proto, elec stuff from klein wera and wiha, vessel. He got various Veto bags to replace his random no name brand ones higher quality. his cheap wirey kart, replaced with a heavy duty one that can hitch to utility vehicles.
    Now his area they allow KEI trucks and vans to be reg like atvs and sxs, so he has a daihatsu hijet insulated box truck van from BUG TRUCK of tarbow Japan, hence having metric stuff hahaha. He camps with it, runs errands. Converted to LHD. Its small mobile tool kit is all icon and quinn with snap on pliers. His hd cart he uses to do stuff around the community. He upgraded from his hf welders to a lincoln unit. Hes making all the ibeam looking covered ports for all the rental units, which will all have passive solar and catchment for water for emergency or utl use per th unit.
    He had a small storage shop building built, and keeps a lot of machines there. His tool boxes are series 3 us general boxes all in white, his foam inserts are custom black and pink, he cut the tools out, did sakura blossom decorative lasering on the foam that peeled off so you could see pink through. So all his power tools fit away nicely into the USG boxes, and his other edc gear. I love how organized people like you and him are, and love seeing all your guys tools. helps me figure out and always evolve what I myself have and use!

    Ahhh, finally a man like me. My problem is I can't go into Home Depot, Lowes, Rural King, or Tractor Supply without buying a tool lol

    i highly approve of the knipex. I use the smaller flat faced wrench styled ones everyday more then basically any other tool.

      Same here. I work on scuba equipment and that one wrench has come in so handy.

    6:12 cut yourself a piece of 1/2” or 3/4” conduit to slide over your tiny adjustable wrench’s handle. You increase the leverage up to a lower mid size tool and the same might be useful on the trendy channel locks (that I want a pair of too) Good video 👍🏼

    • @wookiescookies
      @wookiescookies  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good idea- that would almost make the adjustable wrench obsolete if something like that would work on the little channel locks. I'll give it a shot sometime soon and if it works out I'll upload a short shouting you out.

    Just curious how much your carabiner set up weighs? I carry a fairly similar set up but in a pouch.

    So I did order the lanyards on Amazon, not sure if you replaced the loop, but they came through with very small loops. Also, I hate to appear stupid, but how did you secure the lanyard to the drill? Lanyards not adjustable!

    • @wookiescookies
      @wookiescookies  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No worries sorry I should've been more clear. I had to modify the lanyard a bit to suit my needs. First, I cut off the little ring and did away with the flimsy smaller cord. Then, I placed the big loop around the screwdriver. It doesn't fit exactly snug, so you need to take the slack from the big loop and insert it into the smaller sized loop. Then, to prevent it all from slipping out I put a tiny key ring into the new loop that was made when I inserted the big loop's slack into the smaller loop. I'm sure there's a better solution, but I've never had an issue with it getting in the way or slipping off. Hope this helps!

      Ah, thanks, I bought the screwdriver and love it. Works fantastic for installing ceiling fans. With the light and all, installing the blades takes a 3rd of the time.

    I've gotta set of Dewalt pliers like your knipex which I love but it would be better if they slid without the button. No telling how many times I've had to put stuff down to push that button to adjust

    What carry loop did you use in your 4v skill? I always use that screwdriver

    • @wookiescookies
      @wookiescookies  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I updated the description so you should see the little lanyard there at the bottom. I just cut the little ring and rope part off and replaced it with a tiny key chain. So far its holding up well and only $8 for 5

    Can't agree with the mini tape measure. Craftsman has started making a 9ft that's great. It's magnetized to stick to toolbox but also has a screw you can take out and add a clip from some other POS tape and it'll clip on your pocket. Bought one about a month ago and I love it. Yeah unless I'm doing carpentry or such 9ft is more than enuff tape

    I have a different set up, with different circumstances. But that’s entirely acceptable. I tend to air on the side of heavier duty! But you have more capability, than some people, in their entire homes! So I have absolutely nothing too b!+[|~’ about.
    PS. That’s a cool little screwdriver! I don’t know why you took the name off, personally.

    Hey, my name is Jonathan. I am totally blind, but I use an absolutely love my Leatherman surge multitool. Could someone please give me a suggestion on a good multitool wrench to buy that I can use alongside my Leatherman? I would greatly appreciate it. I normally buy things through Amazon, but I don’t know if any could multitool size wrenches to get. 19:43

      @@jonathanminnick4900 If you're looking for a small wrench, the crescent 4" wrench is cheap and works well for small tasks.
      I carry adjustable wrench based multitools for work, mainly the CRKT Guppie (unfortunately discontinued) and the Nextool Vanguard. The Nextool is probably a similar weight and size to the surge and I do really like the spring loaded pliers and toolset it comes with
