I was 21, it was the first time in my life I had ever seen the Pirates have a winning season, let alone in the playoffs. What a magical night. Hopefully Ben Cherington can bring the Pirates back to the postseason, I want to experience this again.
Mike G When this game was set in stone, I was forced to sling dope just to get into the game and I still made it in with enough money with only 40 bucks to spare. North Braddock! 3rd ward! Still haven’t been caught, though I don’t think the cops care too much about marijuana.
I'm a Cardinals fan, but damn! This was a great game in baseball history. I've never seen so much energy in a ballpark. PNC is my favorite MLB location. If you love baseball, it is just perfect there.
Been a Pirates fan since I moved to PA from Indiana in 2003. This was the greatest time to be a fan. What makes this even more special to me is that Liriano was one of my favorite pitchers of all time. I'd always get him on the Bucs in the video games. So the fact that he found his way to the Burgh IRL and started this game just made it absolutely perfect.
I was in 8th grade when this game happened. From 8th grade to my sophmore year i saw the greatest pirates baseball ive seen in my entire life and i actually believed we had a shot at winning the world series and then just like that were back in a playoff drought
I was in 5th grade i remember everyone in my school that watch sports had bucco fever I believed we would of won it all but when the alds happened and we lost I legit cried
33:51 quite possibly the greatest 30 seconds of Pittsburgh baseball this century

The greatest playoff atmosphere
I can’t help but go back to highlights of the 13-15 teams upon watching the 21 team

This was probably the funnest game i ever watched, and I watched it on tv lol
Pirates-Reds was always such a great rivalry. Especially in the 70s. Wish it would come back.
RIP PHIL COYNE!
I MISS PNC BEING LIKE THIS
This was a terrific Pirates team. It just shows you what is possible when a GM is allowed to do his job.
I'm 44. And this is the highlight of my pirate watching career. Sad af
I was there in my section 127. Best sporting event I’ve ever seen, including the Pens and Steelers.
I was somewhere along the first base line, being there, that night is still one of the best experiences of my life.
33:40...... it begins
Goosebumps.

Man this pirates squad was so good, it’s such a shame what has become of it
I think they’re doing ok now
