@@SantosRiveraPR75 We just went through Ian here in Ft. Myers. Our shutters worked brilliantly. Sustained winds well over 100 mph for several hours. Couldn't be happier!
3 years...They are perfect. The material has no sign of wear or sun fading. The motors run up and down automatically at sunset to cut down on the blasting setting sun inside the house, and I guess because they are slow motors (see video) they see little stress and are working great. No repairs at all.
Their electrician (not a sub) runs a direct line to your panel and puts one GFI breaker in there. There are no physical switches on the lanai, just the remote seen in the video. SS had to get a permit and I believe the permit requires GFI since these are in the weather. My screens are hooked up via our Alexa using the "DooYa Bridge" app that connects to "Storm Start" app. The Alexa app allows me to group the screens together so I only have to say "Alexa Open Screens" or "Alexa Close Screens" With either the Storm Start app or the DooYa App or Alexa app I can operate the screens from my smart phone from anywhere.
what is the max wind speed these shutters can handle.. looks very light!!! hard to believe its hurricane proof
My friend I'm from P.R. and I can tell you by experience...thats NOT hurricane proof.
I had mine installed over 7 years ago went through Irma not a drop of rain in my lanai they are rated for but I’m not sure what it was. I love mine!

It looks more.like screens, are they as strong as the metal or aluminum ones?
Very pretty
How are the screens holding up after 2 years of use?

Have you ever had to raise the screens when the power is out? Does the setup return to motorized easily?
Watch the video starting at the 3:00 mark. He mentions a manual crank you can do if the power is out.
Are GIF's normally included in the installation of motorized hurrican roller shutters? Good or bad to have GFI's? Necessary?

Who's the manufacturer?
How many square feet was your project?
142 x 71, 142 x 216,142 x 212, 142 x 192
Are you still happy with them?
They still work great! I have them set up to automatically close everyday 1 hour before sunset for shade, and open 15 mins before sunset. Work great.
Does it protect against flying debris
Yes, it is a hurricane screen. That means it had to pass Florida's test specs that shoot a 2x4 beam at it.
Those look terrible. Baggy screens. I would be embarrassed to post this video.
how much did this cost?
@@jackbuchter1208 he said...it was over $17,000
LOL.!!!!! You read my mind.!!!!
