Leeches are freaking terrifying, I've spent my life around ponds and rivers so I'm quite familiar with them but its just like the first time every time i find one on me, and they get WAYYY bigger than these ones here and some even have crazy colors like bright orange stripy patterns, i saw on of those nearly as long as my foot and a few inches wide, thankfully i was in shallow clear water so i was able to avoid it, but it was moving for my foot!
I swear this was strictly viewed here in Australia as a comedy. The spider was an orb weaver and perfectly harmless. Snakes dont behave like this and spiders don't instantly end up in your boots the second you take them off.
That black dude was actually the entire movie's funhouse. I liked the part where after recovering from the Anaconda attack he was still overreacting and the catchphrase though "I'm a bad man".
_We need to have a moment of silence for our ancient forebears._ *The hunters and gatherers.* This movie had me thinking about the harshness of nature. And what it took for us to reach this “transcendent” level of progress within a postmodern era.
Thing which scares me is how fragile our society and technological advancement even is. I mean all it would take is a nuclear war which is very much dooming ourselves in a quick way or we are doiming ourselves slowly through climate change. And after all we've achieved we would be back hunting in the jungles and fighting off leeches etc
The Actor with the leeches on his back is an old friend of mine. His name is Eugene Byrd. Me and another friend I met Eugene through went to an audition with him in NYC way back when we were in our late teens or early 20's. Gene's father drove us up there from Philadelphia, only a 2 hour drive. We went to support him. It was for a movie produced by Ron Howard, who played Ritchie Cunningham on Happy Days before he became a big time movie producer. It was cool. I got a glimpse of Ron Howard when he called Gene back to the room for the audition and also in the waiting room with us was Giancarlo Esposito but i was too scared to speak to him, lol. Always liked him as an actor since I saw him in Spike Lee's movie, "Do The Right Thing." Haven't seen or spoke to Gene in probably over 25 years but I'm sure he's doing well.
I’m glad they don’t really use these for any medical stuff anymore. lol. Honestly though id rather have these on me than maggot therapy. If you don’t know what it is be glad. Look it up at your own risk. lol
Little fun fact about that spider, its completely harmless. Its a golden web orb spider. They can be good pets if treated right. Im considering actually getting one as a pet lol
The only creature I am afraid of are leeches. It is because of Humphrey Bogart in The African Queen. When he come up after pulling the boat thru the reeds and freaks out because he has leeches on his back I freaked out too.
i remember when i got one of these on my foot one time when i was very little. i screamed VERY loudly because i had no idea what it was and i will never forget it 😭
If there was a wasp in my room, I wouldn't be. I have apiphobia, the fear of bees, wasps, and other stinging insects. Strangely enough, I'm actually most "comfortable" with bees, so maybe spheksophobia (specifically wasps) is more appropriate?
No, no they don't.. Leeches cure barely anything, also, if you don't get them off, you'd die faster from leeches than from COVID-19. Leeches can't cure COVID-19. Don't know where you got that information.
