To be fair, the question was 'All-round Striker'. Henry, undoubtedly, scored many many many goals. But Henry was more than just a Striker, he was a force of nature and still holds the records for the most assists in a season (a season he also scored 20+ goals). How can we even compare the two players? To be able to understand just how good Henry was, you had to watch him in a full game. I don't care about goals, assists, stats or highlight reels. He was not merely a CF - as excellent as he was. He controlled games from the back. His football brain was mindblowing: he dictated the midfield and could see 4-5 passes ahead, and had a first touch and ball control that was second to nobody in the modern game. He was consistently phenominal. If his finishing was not so proficient he could have been one of the greatest CDM, CM, LW, RW or number 10 of all time. Henry was not merely a CF, like Kane. Going a season unbeaten is a great and very difficult achievement but going unbeaten for 38 games doesn't guarantee you win the league...finishing on 100 points pretty much guarantees you win the league.

To be fair, the question was 'All-round Striker'. Henry, undoubtedly, scored many many many goals. But Henry was more than just a Striker, he was a force of nature and still holds the records for the most assists in a season (a season he also scored 20+ goals). You might just be able to edge that Harry Kane might be the better 'Striker' in terms of % of shots and goals, but (up until Kane proves otherwise with his career) Henry is the much better player. To be able to understand just how good Henry was, you had to watch him in a full game. I don't care about goals, assists, stats or highlight reels. He was not merely a CF - as excellent as he was. He controlled games from the back. His football brain was mindblowing: he dictated the midfield and could see 4-5 passes ahead, and had a first touch and ball control that was second to nobody in the modern game.
He was consistently phenominal.
If his finishing was not so proficient he could have been one of the greatest CDM, CM, LW, RW or number 10 of all time. Henry was not merely a CF, like Kane.

Don’t even know why Kane v Henry is even a question.. Henry is without doubt the greatest player to ever grace English football. Kane is great goal scorer but can he pick the ball up on the edge of his own box run the length of the pitch and slide it past the keeper.. or have the ball played into him with his back to the goal and in one moment flick it up swivel on the spot and volley it over a world class keeper like Fabian Bartez.. no he can’t.. Henry scared world class defenders to the point the couldn’t sleep the night before games
Going a season unbeaten is a great and very difficult achievement but going unbeaten for 38 games doesn't guarantee you win the league...finishing on 100 points pretty much guarantees you win the league.
