  • REMOVING AN RV DINETTE & OUR NATIONAL DOG DAY ADVENTURE | RV Dog Life - We are spending more time in Bend than we expected. We like being in the same place for a while and there’s so much dog-friendly here, that we need more time to explore. Plus, it’s a hiker’s paradise. The terrain is insane and breathtakingly beautiful.
The area outside of Bend Oregon is blowing us away each day we explore. Lava beds, craters, volcanos, lakes, you name it- Bend has it. On National Dog Day, we had to take Alaska to a body of water, so we hiked to Paulina Lake. When she fell asleep after the hike, we decided we needed a workspace in the RV - so we ripped out the dinette. Not sure where we will put all the stuff that was stored there, but it was just so uncomfortable.

    Who are we?
We are Tom, Ely and Alaska, and we live for our rescue dog. We brought Alaska (she was actually named that at the Australian shelter!) over from Australia to explore dog-friendly spaces in the USA. We are currently on a mission to explore all the dog-friendly National Park Units so that you can take your best friend too. We've noticed that the dog-friendly NPS language online is vague and sometimes incorrect, so we want to explore these spaces ourselves to see how dog-friendly they really are. Join us for this ride of a lifetime: living each day for our dog.

Robertson (Scrulox) screws, The bane of my existence when I was doing my first RV projects. I wonder why RV Manufacturers adopted these as a standard? The new desk looks great!

Absolutely! I was literally just using a flat heat to split the cheap wood to get it out. But obviously the screws were left behind. Klein 11-in-1 to the rescue.
