@@sweis12 leg in air = pray mage, big stomp = pray range, use long range with any range weapon and just focus on swapping between range and mage prayers. When little heal douchenozzles come, click one of them right after a prayer swap and go back to swapping prayers. Repeat that for all four healers then just auto attack Jad focusing on swapping between the two prayers.
The hardest part is not getting too excited. Dealing damage might make for a faster run but the goal is to not die. If you need to stand still not attacking and sorting your prayers out and calming down, then do it. Remember there is nothing on the line and the 45 minutes or so it took to get there is nothing in comparison to any skill related grind. Slow and steady.

Returned back to RS3 since having a 4-5 year break, Im having a blast. RS3 Is really fun as an adult who doesnt have the time I did when I was playing this game as a kid. This is also what a lot of people seem to forget when they call RS3 "EasyScape" or that you can level up too fast... The game has *28* different skills, some of them go beyond 99 and requires 8x more experience to 'max out' than said 99's. Many of the people that played RS back in the day have grown up and have lives to attend to, and don't have the time to grind like they used to, just like you mentioned. RS3 simply caters more towards having people experience the new and exciting content released, a lot of it that happens to be towards the end-game (for relevancy's sake).
Glad to see you're enjoying the game again! The lore sure is amazing, and if there's one suggestion I'd give to people trying out RS3 - *Don't space-bar through quests!* - you might actually find that you'll enjoy questing a lot more when you understand what's going on and get to part-take in all the little intricacies of the dialogues/cutscenes! :)

I actually recently started playing RS3 this last month. In fact, it's the first time I've ever tried playing ANY runescape game, ever. All I can say is WOW, THE QUESTS!!! THE FRIGGIN QUESTS!! They actually make you feel like you did something. They have little cutscenes and stories that are so awesome and don't take themselves too seriously but still provide very satisfying gameplay! I keep saying it over and over - the quests I have played in RS3 remind me SO MUCH of the optional quests in Zelda: OOT, and Zelda: MM on the n64. Even some of the "boss battles" at the end of the quests remind me of zelda, having to learn the attack pattern of the enemy, work around it, to do whatever it is you need in order to deal damage.
It all started with me, for whatever reason, thinking "Maybe it would be fun to play WoW again"..... and I sat and thought about this a lot over a period of several weeks....but all I could think of is how boring and long the early parts of the game are, and how many times i've already done that, and debating if it was worth it to do all of it again just to access the more recent content. Bottom line is that WoW quests "TELL" instead of showing, and at the end of the day I couldn't find it in me to play that game again.
.......BUT THEN! It was brought to my attention that several members of the HAM radio group I hang out with like to play RS3......and since I have never played runescape at all, in any form, decided to give it a shot.... and holy CRAP I don't regret it! MY CURRENT GOAL is actually to take the game nice and slow and enjoy the quests for awhile before I start to actually grind hard.
Runescape 3 is quickly becoming "comfort media" for me..... a game I default to, a game i can play while doing other things, and a game that is literally unexplored by me at all.

i get the appeal but it also drags the game down badly. the point of the grind is to learn the game and everything it has to offer. this game is so simple and drops so much xp that you literally dont learn anything. you literally skip 80% of the game doing that. at that point your not even playin anymore. i played rs back in 2003-2009 and i knew the map like i knew my own city. i knew quests, drops and lure. you also had to learn how to pvp because it wasnt just point and attack, it was switching gear and positioning. their was also high risk vs reward. rs3 is just brainless but i get it. its easier to play when you are an adult.

Questing by release order definitely wouldn't work in RS3, because of some removals of older ones and some changes to miniquests instead of quests, so you wouldn't have enough QP to do dragon slayer, for example, if you go by release order. However, RS3 has a "Timeline" order you can sort by in the quest list, which is the true canonical story order of the full quest list - that's the actual recommended order to do them in on RS3.

Nothing is on any sort of power level, and the drama is created by the game's politics and factions. When all is said and done, we feel more the absolute fucking thrill of getting the Fremennik to faction with the Falador Knights and kill some dragon much more than we remember the dragon fight. I went down an RS3 wiki rabbit hole the other day, and holy shit.
I wanted to look up the best money makers so I could point and laugh at the inflated economy and ended up seeing that the best money maker was killing Zamorak.
Not K’ril, Zamorak. You fight Zamorak, the god. I needed an explanation.
And so I started reading up on the lore and shit that happens in the quests. I learned about the elder gods, I learned about the Mahjarrat, I got to see images of what all the gods looked like (Guthix straight up looks like an NFT), I read up on the quest where Guthix fucking DIES - my god, I think I almost wanna play this game… or at least watch someone do it.

    - some guy just trying his best skilling

I've played Rs3 to max (pre-necromancy) and then immediately shifted toward osrs to see the "other side" and all I can say is: people are a bunch of babies.
If you genuinely think osrs is a "perfect game", you are absolutely delusional and here is why: Why is it rs3 is playable with no 3rd party client but absolutely NOBODY plays osrs without runelite? If the game was as perfect as you think, you wouldnt need it, because jagex would be doing a great job at keeping the game fresh with updates and QOL stuff.
Both games absolutely could take notes from eachother on how to improve their respective games, like rs3 could absolutely fix the UI issue by making the default be OSRS' default, then letting the player customize their UI from there. It would be much less confusing for new players and you wouldnt need to spend the first 2 hours of "gameplay" on the game just fucking around with the UI.
And for those who complain about the "invasive MTX". Im gonna give you the same advice that you would give someone complaining about dying in the wildy: DONT DO IT THEN. Simple shit! Dont touch the mtx and play the game! If youre that insecure that you are mad that someone used the mtx to get like, 5k exp in a skill, you are a genuine child who needs to grow up.
End of the day you will both max, and neither of you is superior to the other because you have a higher number than the other or one of you didnt use the mtx that is given out. Grow up.
Rs3 is a FUN game, but you need to get your head out of the Nostalgia pits and try the damn game without an expectation that it will be OSRS, cause newsflash: its not OSRS, its rs3!
Im currently playing osrs fulltime (havent been on rs3 in like 6 months as of now) and osrs is FUN as well! Its DIFFERENT, but fun! It has its quirks and drawbacks, like some skills (looking at you agility, RC and mining.....) that could desperately use a massive exp increase, as the skills are just a boring blockade to doing actual fun content in osrs. But im not sitting here going "omg osrs is a shit game exp rates are dog rs3 superior reeeeeee" cause of a few flaws. Its still fun overall and im gonna go max on osrs as well (yes, even with sailing......ugh).

Its crazy to see what osrs could have potentially became if they simply didn’t add eoc. Just in terms of the graphics and the voice acting etc. it really just became a beautiful game. While holding onto the style somewhat that made osrs popular. The absolute cluster fuck of abilities and items and transmogs just seems so overwhelming though. I honestly think they should release a exact copy of the current osrs, but with no polls, just allow the devs to make content and update the graphics and do what they believe is right. But I doubt that would ever happen. Just to see the same level of quality updates, and the developers imagination seems to really get to shine. Players love the osrs oldschool vibe I get it, but some of the shit in rs3 is just so damn cool and immersive in the best ways. Great video.

From my experience, the best way to enjoy RS3 is with an ironman account. You won't have to worry about XP rates. I always hated not being able to play during double XP, then feeling like I'm only getting half XP the rest of the time. Buying out skills was also very boring. If you want prayer high, you just buy bones and go to an altar. For herblore, you just buy all the herbs. You end up just doing one thing that makes money to not have to level anything else for long. It's more efficient to drop logs from woodcutting, then buying them for firemaking, because you can get that money faster than it would take to bank those logs. I leveled woodcutting to 99, but I have no real reason to have it.
I feel like they need to rework the combat. Revolution was a great idea but it defeats the point of the ability system. There's also confusing stuff like 4 tick auto attacking, which I hate because I feel like I'm not doing all the damage I could be, because I don't understand how the bug(which they call a feature) works. I get the sense that they should make the revolution bar with basic abilities the optimal way to fight. The game shouldn't be slower than manual players. Only have the player use threshold and ultimate abilities. Also don't lock abilities behind a boss that requires 43 quests that require at least a total level of 1937 in various skills, while it also being a team boss. Most players will end up buying the skill book, so no one has a huge issue with it... except ironmans.

Once I learned some of the fundamentals of pvm like what ability to prevent being stunned and the basics of doing dps rs3 was incredibly fun and it's true you don't have to learn what specific abilities do until later on in mid level.

Great video, I don't play RS3 much anymore, but the new quests are always fun to come back too :D

Ending reminds me of when I got the Captain title. I bought some pirate clothes changed my name and roleplayed as Captain Crunch.
