  • I revisited the Narrows of the Harpeth, in Harpeth River State Park, in search of fall smallmouth bass. It was a cool early November morning and the water was chilly, following a recent cold front.
Using the Yamatanuki and Baby Bull Gill, I was able to hook into some fish, although the day started very slow.
I was pleasantly surprised with one 17 1/4” smallie, a couple of other smallies, a white bass (my first, so technically my PB!), and a few rock bass. All in all, it was a pleasant day fishing with my son.
    Thanks for watching!

I believe with that amount of yellow it was a yellow bass, very similar to white bass.

Man...I would say white bass if it wasn't so long and skinny...if it's a white bass it is local...if it's a striper it came 30 miles upstream from the cumberland. Sorry your son can't catch fish...lol...some burdens are hard to bear.

      Good point.
You know how kids are, these days, they give up and want to go home and play video games. I’d ALWAYS rather be fishing.
