Don’t do it! This is like an awesome little apartment. I get the whole sprinter idea, but it has its downside as well. This place offers you more space and home feel. Doesn’t have an engine and that’s a plus. You can detach it from the vehicle you drive. Okay, what am I doing? I’m raining on your parade. Ugh, it’s just so nice. You’ve done a great job with it. Either way, I wish you well. California here she comes!
You are SO ORGANIZED! I LUV It! And congratulations on having such an awesome living space! Hope your new van gives you just as much love as your Caraval did!
Nomadic Sarah, I have loved watching you adapt to Airstream life. My husband and I own a 19 foot Caravel and are looking to upgrade. If you are still looking for a buyer for your 22 foot, beautiful Caravel, we are interested !!
I am so glad I watched this video! I actually get the true feel of the airstream vs virtual walk throughs. I also love the fact you’re detailed and knowledgeable about how to make it work for your needs. And the cameras! The storage tips! Taking notes. Thank you and good luck in the future. I am sure you will have no problems selling this bad boy.
I think it is great you are moving to a van. It's safer to be in a van in the event you get unwanted visitors you can leave without having to exit to get to cab. Love your husky. 🐾
I’m a hardcore Solo Streaming Sister, but I love Drifter Vans! I considered buying one. I’m currently in MI selling property & house, while my Airstream is being updated. When you come to MI reach out to me. And I’m interested in buying your Airstream.
Thanks for both of your videos!!! I just bought one after looking at the 19 and the 20. Thanks for tips on storage spaces - dog included - and how you were able to store things!
I love how you rocked your Airstream and how organized it is. You were clever with your tricks to save space and I just love it! I wish you well and can't wait to see what you do with your van. This is our retirement goal! Make it beautiful!
It's beautiful. Why are you going to a Transit? So much smaller space. You want to nomad more discreet and go off road? Thank you. Watching too see your next home.
Hi Sarah Gm to you that was an amazing tour you could do a tour on every Air stream and tell every thing your experiences and pro's and con's of the Air stream life were proud of you and hope you enjoy the van build
Your updates are awesome. Great job on them. Traveler also . Just finished in Santa Cruz now home in NM for month then going out again. I live in 18 foot trailer. Will use some of your hacks. Thanks for sharing. Happy travels
What a cutie. She is a great host. I'd for sure watch a travel show if she hosted it. Excellent extra bed table...beautiful. I want a rig, and her extra touches are great, but sadly, I can't afford this brand. Best wishes on your new job.
Nice trailer, I've been following your videos since the very beginning, your airstream turned out awesome after the first year, you didi a lot in my opinion. Also, your videos are great! I recently purchased the same model airstream part of it because of your videos, so very thankful for that. I'll keep tails on you anyway with your new van. I wish you my best you seem to see an awesome person. Greetings from Austin, TX -AR
Omg!! Thank you for this :) when I watched your organizational video you mentioned a full tour in the future but I thought you wouldn’t do it after you announced your plans to sell! ❤
all of your videos are always awesome! You should have no trouble selling your airstream. Can’t wait to see the new van when it’s finished. Too bad you’re not close enough that you could get videos of the progress, but that’s OK we’re all waiting on pins and needles to see your new van and see what adventures it takes you on.
Oh my goodness did you already sell your Airstream? I Love it! I've always wanted one. I am a single woman and will be moving soon. Yes the chance at traveling with my favorite, "Airstream!" is a dream I've waited and wanted for so long! I hope everything is going well with your van! Please email if airstream is still for sale and the price please. Adventure awaits Us!!! Grateful!!!!
Fantastic video. Love the content and the sincerity of everything you put out. I do not imagine why you would sell the caravel and opt for a van, no matter how fancy it might be. I believe the caravel setup is way more spacious and long term. Keep up the good work and good luck to your with your adventures.
I am reviewing both the bambi and caraval. I now really like yours. If it still available I have interest. I do have a mt. bike. that is something i did not see if there was a hitch.

Love what you did! This video is invaluable for anyone considering what you are doing! You already have me hooked on what you are planning with the van. I can't wait to hear more about adapting to even less torage as well as special puppy mods!
I’ve been following your Airstream video since the beginning. I’m not a van fan, that ended in the 70’s. It’s been fun, thanks for the entertainment. This is where we hit the fork in the road, goodbye and good luck.
Just woke here in the northeast and saw that your post had arrived around 3:30 a.m. I’m sorry you have to sell you airstream, but understand an all in one will be much easier for your lifestyle. Congrats on your new position.
Hi Sarah! Happy holidays! We love your videos and ate really excited for your new van build! Could you share where you purchased the mat you have under your mattress? Wishing you and your pup a wonderful holiday!!
Does the on demand hot water heater work well? I currently live full time in a Lance 1995 trailer and considering moving up to that same Airstream. I would be giving up a bit of storage but the quality and cool factor of the Airstream would be worth it not to mention the lighter weight and good tow ability. Nice trailer. Thanks for the tour😊
It depends! The tankless water heater works well if you have full hookups. If you are boondocking and trying to conserve both fresh water and gray tank space, it can be a bit difficult to take a navy shower. Every time you shut the water off and turn it back on, it is back to cold and takes about a minute to heat back up. Lots of water wasted and no point in trying to take a navy shower at that point.
I know you’ve moved on to a van now but, did you ever have a problem with getting locked out of the airstream? I’ve seen a video where they say that can be a problem
Thanks for the tour, great job covering all of the details! It looks like you took great care of it. All of the mods look amazing, especially that table, it really is a work of art. I'd try to talk you into selling me the table if it fit my floorplan (23CB). It would be nice if you could repurpose that in your van somehow. Cheers from Colorado!
Hi, Sarah. I’m not sure if you mentioned it a while ago, but which engine does your Grand Cherokee have? I have the 3.6L and I’m not sure if it makes a difference. Thanks!
I'll chime in on this one since I've been towing towing Airstream's (started with a 19' now we have a 23' FC) for the last 8 years with a Grand Cherokee 5.7 V8 / 6-speed auto, and it seems very rare to see a GC towing anything. No issues going over any of the mountain passes here in Colorado, and it does great on the flat highways out east. I think your V6 would do just fine, assuming it's a 2014+ with the 8-speed transmission. The handling is very good, braking is good, engine & transmission temps stay in check. The biggest limitation with the Jeep is the payload capacity. If you look at the sticker on the inside of the driver's side door you'll see the gross weight of the Jeep is limited to 6,500 lbs. Last time I weighed mine it was 5,640 lbs with me, full fuel, gas fire pit, LP tank, paddleboard, bicycle, and some other stuff. With the 23' Airstream hitched up it was 6,260, so that leaves 240 lbs for additional passengers. If I wanted to haul more than 240 lbs of passengers, some of the stuff would need to be hauled in the Airstream. Your V6 GC is probably lighter and has more payload capacity than mine, so that's an advantage. My 23' Airstream weighs in at 5,480 lbs with full water and some other stuff, it's actually lighter than the Jeep. I'm very happy with Grand Cherokee / Airstream combo. It's never left me wishing for a different tow vehicle, until these van videos got me thinking, what if it could be towed with a van...
@@stephaniereavis1908 I'm glad it was helpful, let me know if you have any other questions about towing with the Jeep. People always ask me about this setup when I'm out camping, so I started recording a video about it last summer, that I need to finish editing. It would be interesting to hear about Sarah's experience towing with the V6 if she has time.
