I can assure you that as a christian, I've had more than I can bare. Life has been fundamentally altered and broken several times. However, it's what we decide to do with the brokenness. With that said, there are peices of the brokenness that I don't know will ever recover. Praying for God's grace each day to heal and restore.

Seek deliverance. I didn't think it was real until I was freed. Satan’s minions attack our flesh. Jesus’ blood protects our soul, not our body. With the power of his name, every Christian can be free from spiritual oppression.

Question the logic and the assumptions made to arrive at the conclusions the preachers make. Logical does not always = truth. If the assumptions are false the logic is too.

I use to take that verse out of context also. But once I started studying the Bible, I have learned so much! Now when someone says that verse to me in the wrong context, I ask them if that verse means what they say, why would Paul give us 2Cor 1:8? The Bible has a way of explaining itself if we’re willing to read and listen. Another great video, Allen! 🙏🏾

2COr 1:8-9 shows God carrying the load that Paul could not carry. God had provided a way out. Paul could not carry the whole load. He carried what he could and God carried the rest "to make us rely not on ourselves but on God"

Hey, i just read that and those verses refer to yes relying on God but as our comforter. So it still does not give the same context in which most people use when we have struggles. Saying God won't put on us more than we can bear ... it's saying when we struggle lean on Him to comfort us ❤. THE CREATOR KNOWS that in his own good time, he will let Jesus Christ resurrect back to life all his worshippers who died even thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, King David, Daniel, the Christ's disciples, and many others so they can fully enjoy his and his Christ's eternal love, kindness, compassions, generosities, favors, and blessings for eternity as submissive and obedient subjects of the "Kingdom of God" under the loving rulership, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ, the One he has given all authority in heaven and on earth.

But look closer at 1 Cor 10. The sins Israel fell into happened during times of trouble. They grumbled at Marah because they were thirsty. So troubles create occasions for the temptation to sin. I think in trying to avoid taking scripture out of context, we miss out on the application of scripture.

    I'm from Kerala, India.
In Malayalam (South Indian language) translation, temptation is refered as "Pareeksha"...
Pareeksha literally has two meanings in Malayalam. One is as usual temptation. While the other one is struggle...
Most of the people including me use the second meaning (struggle) as context and that could be the key reason behind misinterpretation of this verse.

@@thebeatagp AMEN brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord and God bless Allen Parr I really appreciate your Christ centered and Scripturally accurate content for the furtherance of The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏 ❤️ 👊. This has nothing and everything to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college student. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.
Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years
ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology whereas I accept micro Evolution like speciation and adaptation but not macro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant.

Wow, I had no idea Christians thought this verse meant so many different things. I've struggled with temptations many times and this verse has helped me. At no point did I feel like this verse had anything to do with anything other than temptations.

We MUST read and know Gods Word, the Bible!
For the very hard times in my life I often prayed for God to let me forget the pain and use me to help others who go through hard times, too.

Thank you so much Allen for sharing this. It is really frustrating seeing so many getting it wrong…. If you just read it properly you will see clearly it has todo with Temptation. It’s the same as Matthew 18:20 “for where two or three are gathered in My name, there I am in the midst of them.”
If anyone argues with me again, I’ll just send them this video haha. God bless 💓🙏🏻

This such a great teaching! It's so sad that people misunderstand this verse. All I know is that I tried to quit smoking so many times without God, and I couldn't do it. It was unbearable. When I finally gave it to God, I held tightly to this verse. God keeps his promises. He really did provide a way out when it got too hard. With his help, it was bearable. The key is in giving it to him. It wasn't easy, but I've been smoke free since 1998! All the glory goes to God.

OH MY GOD!! Thank You… my only, youngest, and adult son was snatched away through murder and many people told me that… I’ve always hated that saying and I’ve never told anybody that. I called a prayer line and the lady prayed for my son to be restored long after his burial. I ask the lady why would she pray such a thing and she responded I needed faith and I, out of anger, hurt, disappointment, and unbelief at such a prayer said to her “and you’re stupid!”
If God didn’t allow more on us than we could bear then why would we change?? We’re no different than coal when it’s pressured to become diamonds, grapes when they’re crushed to become wine, olives when pressed to become oil, and clams when they have an irritation and produce pearls! Through that crushing, ripping, and horrifying separation from my friend and son I changed and see life differently than I had 57 years before!! Some good and maybe worse depends on who you’re asking!! Yet, I was not without Hope while walking through that valley of Shadow of death 💀 that’s ALL IT IS, is a shadow because Christ Jesus has taken the sting out of death but the temporary separation and the selfishness of wanting that person to be with you is the trial and challenge! My son is with his Father and creator in a much better place. The enemy came to steal, kill, and destroy but the death of Gods saints is a time to rejoice!

I really have a hard time understanding how anyone could interpret this passage differently. It’s almost like you have to completely ignore the word “temptation” to reach any other conclusion.

I am struggling with temptation and being able to differentiate between salvation by works vs salvation by faith and it’s all so very complex, and we tend to forget how salvation works. I feel like I have to strategize everything I do like salvation is a chess match and the Bible is a puzzle. Can I do this, can I do that, should I just give up everything for God, and what does that even look like? Your videos are very helpful at grounding my wayward thought process. God bless.

Thank you, brother Allen for clarifying the meaning of this verse. As we read the Word, we will find MANY instances where Christians were allowed to endure situations that were more than THEY could bear! Actually, it’s those situations in our life that demonstrate our NEED for God’s help and drive us to HIM. He wants us dependent upon Him and not independent of Him. Our trials serve this purpose.
