Design is looking great as always. I'd be interested in you adding some insights into your videos about a factory's input/output. How much quartz is coming in, how much silica/crystals are being produced, and what are you using them for. Just a thought. Thanks as always for your video!

I believe the term for it is a shade roof, and is a really cool design. Alternatively making a factory with a sort of glass flooring in the spire coast would be very neat especially around the reef would be epic. It would be nice if the floor could sit on the water but having the coral sticking out kinda makes that impossible

I hate the awesome shop with a passion. I just do !give coupon 1000 and voila, get everything I need. They should never have put most of the stuff thats there in the shop.

He's probably the most consistently awesome Satisfactory streamer out there. Tutorials, Let's Plays, and Community Creations, all done wonderfully. If you like Satisfactory, you won't regret subscribing.

Just subscribed and watched the previous 5 episodes today. I'm super impressed with your channel! Just a note, I know you're working on the audio changes, but early on in this episode, the music drowns your voice out a little bit.
As for the baddies in the Spire Coast, an unfortunate bug in the current update seems to be that they all just... die on their own. If you pass through an area and come back later, it seems like they all die from environmental effects (poison, fall damage) while you're away, and don't respawn after the first time you go into that area.

Honestly the fauna hasn't been working at all in experimental. For me they just stand there or run away, and almost never attack.

For audio, as a music producer I can safely, highly recommend the Røde NT1-A condenser microphone. You do need an audio interface or something else with an XLR input that has the capability for +48V phantom power, otherwise the mic will be way, way, way too quiet to work with, but audio interfaces come in great quality at extremely low prices so that shouldn't be an issue.
The mic is about 179 bucks, and if you buy an interface as well that might set you back an extra 20 bucks maybe.
Your mic setup is fine btw, just wanted to mention this in case you decided you wanted an upgrade.
If you do end up actually buying that mic sometime, please let me know, because I have some tips for getting the most out of it that won't be too obvious to most people.
For listening, I doubt you'd need an upgrade, considering the quality of the mixing in your own music.

Nice video again! Hang some large towels or blankets in the room to keep the audio from bouncing. Which is minimal in the video btw. Just a tip from me to you ;)

Hi there, thanks for these videos, they are inspiring.
Would you give some air time to lighting within roofed factories? I mean functional lighting, not decorative. If it's in there, that is.

Possibly something I can look at in future videos 😊

P.S. To my previous comments, I'd add that the lift and splitter (or was it a merger?) clipping really annoyed me. It's not as bad as half-way sticking out the side, as I managed to do yesterday. I do kind of wish the top and bottom had holes as well, just to avoid this problem. But anyways, I'd rather tear down the whole factory and rebuild, than have that clip-fueled cognitive dissonance storm keeping me up all night and grinding my teeth and ulcerating stomach. ;o) Ok, maybe not quite that bad, but still. I've blown up more than one build to fix less. Ideas for horrible quick fixes. Take that lovely smooth wall, and add a ridge. Asymmetric, ugly, it'll annoy everyone so much more, you'll have forgotten all about why you did it in the first place. Make it a feature by making a pattern, maybe hiding it with lots of dummy ridges. Maybe feature it prominently as some design artwork, like a flag pole with a static design or a dynamic billboard array and programmed pixels depicting various flags waving. Or make it like a giant screen border and have cars drive across the wall and smash into the ridge. Or something else utterly ridiculous and equally stupid. :o)

You give GREAT info, but you are also SO skilled with these techniques that you tend to gloss over details that “everybody knows” (I,e. you) that a lot of TUTORIAL level info gets lost. Flitting quickly between various scenes that would show helpful info to a begginer but are insignificant to a skilled player takes away a lot of value in the video. Somebody who is VERY skilled at a certain endeavor may NOT have the skills to TEACH… an entirely different thing. 😶

    • @TotalXclipse
      @TotalXclipse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I'm glad you enjoy the let's play, but this is a let's play not a tutorial, I'm not setting out to teach in this particular video series. If you get something from me explaining, that's great, but it's more to show you what I'm doing in my saves. That being said, all the tips I used are covered in my tutorials which are designed to teach.
