Hi What type of scoop are you using? I have a T-Rex 6" but the beaches I detect are often pebble and small rocks and the scoop bottom deforms inward from the stress I put it through. I'm wondering if the slight 'V' shape and design of the one you're using might be more durable. Thanks.

What earbuds are you using? I did not know I could get some waterproof ear buds that hook to the my Nox800
eBay type equinox earbuds. Not sure if Pat still makes them or not.

The port isn’t internal. The earbuds are made for the equinox. They screw in.

The Xtreme has a 10 year warranty! I’ve broken 4 scoops and this is expensive but the best scoop in the world right now! X3 titanium

Yes. They had/have issues with the controls drowning. Great warranty though
