    All the female scientists who are mentioned are highly accomplished and successful in their careers and I am thanking them a lot for their groundbreaking work. I liked 5 of the scientists
    1. Marie Curie 2. Jane Goodall 3. Gertrude B. Elion 4. Rita Levi Montalcini 5. Dorothy Hodgkin and Rosalind Franklin

    Ms Mojo this is the type of videos you should post. Videos about women becoming more than a pretty face! I love seeing accomplished women with meaningful contribution to the world. A true example of being a woman.

      this video gave me chills. I'm a guy but women have been a huge influence on me my whole life and this is because of how much time I have spent with them. I have seen their struggles, their dedication ,their determination and their strength in facing the injustice that they suffer in male dominant country . women like my mom who fought against everyone to raise me and give me the best chances in life the best education and also fulfil her own dreams and take back her life( and yes she had to fight for all of that even though it was a basic human right) even though she was a divorced women not just a women in society, where divorced women are looked over and treated as an expired or defected good and expected to rot in their homes for the rest of their lives

    I called Marie Curie from the start. On top of being the best female scientist in history, she's also one of the best in general. Now this is a feminist icon, not Nicki Minaj.

    Actually you are almost right about Rosalind Franklin, she actually had the exact findings Watson and Creek (them only getting the "inspiration" after a colleague of hers stole her work and showed it to them) did but when they published their articles they put theirs first making it seem like she was just confirming their work. Truly sad how many of these women were snubbed by an institution that supposedly puts knowledge above all else.

    The Wright brothers had a younger sister Katherine that helped them run their business and to promote their airplane, they might not have become famous without her as she was more outgoing which helped them get backers. They also discussed their ideas with her. They also had two older brothers but not much information seems to be known about them.

But I like that MsMojo went out of it's way to highlight important women in science, having good female role models is really important as well so I really liked that they made this video.

    Frank DiMeglio is the world authority on gravitation BY FAR.

    • @frankdimeglio8216
      @frankdimeglio8216 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      ON THE CLEAR MATHEMATICAL PROOF THAT ELECTROMAGNETISM/ENERGY IS GRAVITY:
      Gravity IS ELECTROMAGNETISM/ENERGY. "Mass"/ENERGY IS GRAVITY. (E=mc2 IS F=ma.) ELECTROMAGNETISM/ENERGY IS GRAVITY. Time dilation PROVES that ELECTROMAGNETISM/ENERGY IS GRAVITY, AS E=mc2 is DIRECTLY and fundamentally derived from F=ma. (Very importantly, outer "space" involves full inertia; AND it is fully invisible AND black.)

    But why only technical, medical and 'nature' sciences? What about political or social sciences? I'm not saying that curing illnesses is not important, but when it comes to forming our world, our society, it's social and political science that's important. Sure, most scientists in that area are men, or, like Judith Butler, rather philosophers or maybe even psychologists (Simone de Beauvoir), but there are also women doing great, important jobs in social science that are studied social scientists.

    • @patax144
      @patax144 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That depends on the definition you have for science, for a lot of people the ones you mentioned are humanities not sciences.

    • @taaya6037
      @taaya6037 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's somehow discrimination, as they 'produce' knowlegde as well and that knowledge can be used.

    • @patax144
      @patax144 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I get what you are trying to say but for some sciences are only those that are exact and measurable, and stuff like politics, social studies and stuff like that are quite open for interpretation, it doesn't mean that they are less important, is just that for a lot of people it doesn't agree with the definition they have for science

    • @taaya6037
      @taaya6037 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      But that's the thing. Sociology and political sciences DO measure. Most of the work has to do with statistical programmes summing up the data you collected. Sure, qualitative research need interpretation. In that case I can understand it. But it's usually just to get a hypothesis so you can go and really gather data to find cause to effect connections you can prove by hard scientific data that a computer program has to calculate for you because ... well ... 10.000 participants answering 100 or more questions is a lot of data for a person to calculate :D
