Another one that should be an honorable mention: Cecelia Payne, the first to identify that stars, including the sun, were powered by nuclear fusion of hydrogen. It had been suspected previously that stars might be fueled by nuclear reactions of some sort, but no one understood how it was possible because everybody thought they were primarily made of iron and other heavy metals, just like planetary bodies. Payne was the first to realize that the sun's spectral lines had been misread; she was ridiculed at the time for postulating that stars were mostly hydrogen (which unlike iron can power nuclear fusion), but she was ultimately proven right. Not sure if she ever got proper credit for her discovery.

I was surprised that Temple Grandin wasn't on the list. Her observations and researched on cattle dramatically changed the way livestock is treating, and then her sharing of her personal experiences with autism changed that arena.

One of my favorite females in science is Sue Hendrickson, the paleontologist who discovered the best preserved T-Rex skeleton. I got to visit Sue the T-Rex back in April.

My aunt was recruited for the Dayton Project, part of the Manhattan project. With just a master's in Math from Miami University she help isolate Polonium for the Atomic bomb used at the end of wwII. When she met the Physics Professor from MU of Ohio he said I remember you how did you learn so much, she said she had an excellent library at work. Retired from Monsanto in 76 listed Who's Who in america that year as a Nuclear Physicist. She as a true woman of Science

those men taking credit for rosalind franklin’s discovery and hard work is so upsetting and unfair. and the fact that they were awarded for it after she had passed on is even more upsetting.

Yes, this is fantastic for the ladies that were awarded, applauded by their peers and were accepted in a man's world for such high honors. But unfortunately there are the ones that were taken advantage of, or their names were left off the list of names awarding them the highest degree and who's bosses took credit for their hours or even years of work to discover such successes and great advances. It's such a shame 😢 But thank you Ms. Mojo for making this video and recognizing at least these women. 🏆🥇

It's Marie SKŁODOWSKA - Curie. The name polonium didn't come out of nowhere. She was polish and should be remember as one. Erasing her full surname is not a really good and tactful move.

One day… And if you look at the right people, you will see it currently… How women are finally seen for their value, intelligence, critical thinking, and resilience instead of for their bodies, beauty, and fertility. I long for the day, where all people will realize what women bring to the table, aside from femininity and fertility… And honestly, we are here if we look at the right places🔥 I appreciate people that see others as worthy!! It’s just unfortunate that pick me content gets millions of likes and this video has not yet. I am so proud of women that go beyond their biology and I thank the men that see women as human beings❤
