    Tony La Russa was a great baseball manager and the only thing that surpassed his managing was how insufferable he is. Even when he was the Chief of Baseball here for the Diamondbacks he was insufferable and it's good he went back to managing because he was terrible at running the organization.

      He did not. Wood was ruined by every manager before him, including his high school coach pitching him in both ends of a double header.
      Prior wasn’t the same after the collision. Also not removing Prior in the game was from removing Ortiz the year before. Both backfired.

The inverted W he made when pitching has been found to be a huge factor in many pitchers who get elbow and shoulder injuries. Plus Wood and Prior threw a Slurve, a pitch extremely well known for arm problems.
