Totally geeking out on all the rocks and their origin stories. You have a great resource in these geologist friends Rob. I could've watched and listened to Nat and Paul for hours. I'm glad your mystery rock was explained and that you found a few agates. Please more from the professors. Was cool that Nancy was able to weigh in as well. I was sad when it came to an end. I could listen to Nat all day. Great video! My neighbor travels all over collecting rocks. He knows how much I love rocks so I get buckets and buckets of them. I need to have a coffee day with Nat to go through my rocks and identify them for me 😁 Paul your book is fantastic 👍
Fascinating! The way that rocks form has always been of great interest to me. I like to say that when we pick up a rock we are holding the physical history of Earth in our hands. Thank you to all!
Our favorite geologists! (Outside the Rob and Nancy family.) I love hearing all the history that the rocks have to tell, and they're told so well by Nat and Paul. Thank you for a very interesting lesson on Lake Superior rocks, which of course can apply to other rocks in many different locations. Wonderful!
Ooh this is exciting! I collected a bunch of rocks from Lake Superior last year (inspired by your channel to take the long route home on a cross-country road trip just so I could get to Lake Superior) so I'm going to grab that whole bag and see how many I can identify as I watch!

Fantastic video, so informative! Big thanks to Michagan Rocks for taking the time to put this video together. And also, of course, to Paul and Nat for sharing their time as well
Well that was a great video! Thanks for the excellent explanations. It's always exciting to see a geologist get excited about a rock, considering how many they've handled.
So much information, a must to watch again and again. Thanks Nat for identifying Rob's mystery rock! Wonderful rock hounding/geology class. Got to get that book.
Nancy has the right idea, those pants are life savers on the beach if you don't like getting eaten alive! Great video content with Nat and Paul. Love all your videos, keep them comin. and rock on!
They sure are. We both have some, but I never put mine on. If you get them wet, they stick to your legs and become pretty ineffective. I have trouble staying out of the water.
Thanks Rob, as usual a great video. I was thankful that my wife, granddaughter and I had the opportunity to meet you four as you were coming off of the beach that day this summer. I have had the joy of picking up many of the rocks discussed but just knew that they were interesting rocks. It is always nice to learn what they really are. Thanks again.
I really enjoyed listening to Nat and Paul explain the different types of rocks, and it is always nice when Nancy comes along and shares her finds also. It looks like Paul has written the perfect book for rock hunters. Thank you for sharing these videos with us.

@@MichiganRocks Watched the others also. 30 min vid but with all my googling this and that term, good 2 hours and my brain hurt LOL! ... Very cool. Had me out looking at the rocks surrounding the house with a glass. Thanks for your efforts putting these things out there!!!
@@radamus210 No problem. It's worth it when I see comments like yours.
Oh thank you for such an informative video! I’ve learned so much. This is one video that I will watch several times. I found a few of these rocks today at our cabin in Wisconsin! Oh and Nancy thank you so much for putting on those pants! Awesome, now to find some!
I have those pants listed in my Amazon storefront, which you can find in the description of any of my videos. I was out today on Lake Huron and had to get them out because the flies were out again.
Very informative video, love seeing and hearing about each rock. Beautiful rocks! Thanks 😃
This was great. Thank you so much. Really enjoyed the rocks and learning about them.
Dr Nat is an mvp, what a cool human to learn from
I agree!
Wow! This is so informative! No one every shows what they look like in the wild. Thanks!
Absolutely love visits from Nat and Paul! I very much enjoy all of the teaching they share! I love all of the new recipes of rocks shared in this visit!! Always grateful for your videos, Rob🙏🏼
I love it too. They've taught me more about geology than anyone else.
I can listen to these guys all day. It's a great video Rob.
Nancy looks great, Paul and Nat are a fantastic couple just like you and Nancy ❤ x
I think they're a great couple too. It's nice to have a common interest like they do.
