Please please please do more Selena!!!!! She was 23 years old here. Her husband is on the guitar, her brother on the bass guitar, & her sister is usually their drummer but she injured her ankle before this & so they got a replacement. This was February 26, 1995 at the Houston Astrodome. This was her 3rd consecutive appearance at the astrodome with an attendance record of over 66,000+ (beating out her previous 2 records she set). She performed for an hour with no breaks. The whole performance is up on her channel by songs. This was her big last televised performance before her untimely murder on March 31st.
She was so ahead of her time and taken from us far too soon.

I've watched a lot of Selena reaction videos and yours is by far my favorite. Love you noticing all the instruments and vocal ability of Selena, most people either don't notice or point it out.
The guitarist is Selena's husband Chris Perez. He has a band.
Everything you mentioned about the instruments made me appreciate the players as well as their instruments more than ever before for the quality of work that they contribute to this amazing performance is actually on par with her beautiful, fun energy as a performer. Before, I pretty much just took them for granted because to me Selena always outshines everything and everyone when I see her. She knocked this whole concert out of the park as soon as she stepped on stage.
On another note; I love Beyoncé, been a big fan of her music since her Destiny's Child debut, I've noticed many similarities between these two amazing ladies over the years, these multi-talented powerhouses from Texas but the true Queen 👑 to me will always be Selena. Most of everything Beyoncé has done in her career and businesses is just about a reflection of everything Selena did in her short 23 years of life. No comparison of course as each one has their own unique contributions as well but to me, Selena was Beyoncé before Beyoncé. 💜😉

Because of her being sadly murdered in 1995, about a month after this show, a movie was made in 1997 starring JLo, she did a great job doing Selena and the movie basically pushed her into fame. The opening scene of the movie is actually this Disco Medley.

Yeah, I would love to watch other Reactions of SYLD'S music on this channel. SELENA performed this medley bc she was about to breakout with her crossover album. Though she didn't get to see it completed and debut at least she got to work on a few of the songs and complete them. But then, I'm sure you're an avid fan and already know all this.☺️

Yes, those were timbales. Her sister was the oficial drum player but something prevented her to play that day. I wouldn't know if she was as good as her replacement in that concert.
