After chartering this boat 2 times, I Liked this boat so much that I bought a 45 finally in 2021! Here are the first pictures: th-cam.com/video/PqEdfOyVKhM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mlJMYInrXayBzBjp
thanks for the video. Why did you abort because of the windage? You couldn't get a good heading (what could you do?) or was it dangerous? Do you think with the right kind of equipment it could be a round the world live aboard for a couple? I love the idea of the tri and I find beautiful. I don't care so much about cabinetry either. Was the quality of sailing equipment good?
we aborted because the current plus storm did not make us really proceed against the wind. It was the kids first day on a sailboat and we did not want to force things... Sailing equippement was good quality in my eyes.
@@maddocmucmaddocmuc5341 Fantastic! Are you cruising full time? Are you documenting on youtube? I'm still a couple of years out, but would love to hear your thoughts!
@@FinleyAtty In 2022 we sailed 8 weeks, in 2023 16 weeks on the boat. Further youtube documentation is not planned yet except the occasional little clip
I am not impressed with the fit-out quality. But the hull design I like very much. Incredibly cheap cabinetry, poor finishing, low grade products...... would love to hear your opinion on this.
2 weeks of holidays is not enough to assess the quality of the boat. some of the wall decorations came off, we glued them back on, no problem. I do not need heavy perfect wood work. I need a boat that sails well and brings me safely and with a lot of fun to the nice spots in the world. Honestly, if you were the fastest boat in your perimeter for 2 weeks and had the time of your life flying a hull for an entire day at 14 knots speed, if the kids and the wife loved it to no ends, who cares if the furniture looks like bought from ikea?

No dodger or Bimini for the helm??
It is available and I would mount it if it eas my yacht….
As said above, I finally bought a neel 45 in 2021. with a dodger for thehelmsman. It makes a very big difference and is great on my boat!
Nice Job! This boat is on my short list. What was your overall impression?
Simply love it. Very fast, very safe, very much room. I am trying to get a used one for a reasonable price...
Nice. Thanks! Me too but still 3-4 years out.
got one last year.....

After these holidays I bought a 45 competition, hull no. 23. the interior finish and quality is excellent. The helm has a bimini.
