gonna be tought, minten made the team last year but didnt play the rookie minimum. could be similar result for both of them this year, unless injuries or a trade happens.
A bit bummed none of the goalies got featured, but thanks all the same for another Blueprint. I love these Blueprints so much, it'll be great to come back to these episodes 5, 10, 15 years from now to see how these kids turned out.

I Love with all my heart the Toronto Maple Leafs are inside my heart and truly believe before I pass away the leafs we’ll win the Stanley Cup that much beautiful trophy 🏆 in the world bye far . Brad you are on the right journey for success every time you talk you make me so happy you’re accomplishment as a manager are so dead on right I truly believe your face and what you’re trying to accomplish with the leaves and it’s coming together very nicely. Keep the core don’t make the mistake and surround them with tough players and smart players for them to succeed. It’s hard to get great talent like the four core.
Brad incredible man you truly are saying all this to young new generation athletes that matter to the fans and families and managers what the athletes to succeed yes Brad doesn’t matter where you’re drafted what matters what you do what the opportunity that the leaf are given to these young athletes, grab it by the horns and stud in the direction of success. I’ve been wanting to Toronto Maple Leafs for 51 years when I came from Australia, my heart bleeds blue forever and I’ve been waiting besides Matthew who was the obvious draft cleared you well I have always looked for the one the unknown that got drafted and became really really good at the Toronto Maple Leafs defense goalie or was a dream of mine to see that the leaf organization and I’m still waiting haven’t seen it
It so beautiful coach you giving your true heart to the kids because you been through all this long time ago. I truly love bring undrafted Players or goalies to see them shine off the ice as great person great habits and ice, hard skill, and smart. That’s what makes a great athlete no matter which team you play in the NHL that’s what it’s all about think be smart on the ice thinking truly important partnerships with they coaches that want to to succeed
Knights fan here, Cowan is unreal, 40+ game point streak, one of the highest points-per-game in the OHL, had a 5 point night in the OHL finals, led the CHL in playoff points, led the memorial cup tournament in points, barely gets injured, was named the OHL Regular and Playoff Season MVP by a huge margin, and just generates energy whenever he's on the ice. He's the real deal and everyone was amazed when he was picked last year, but Knights fans and the Leafs knew why, then he had is breakout year right after being drafted
The G.M. whether it was Dubas or Treliving, they might have to get their boss Shanahan to approve or veto a deal. But Shanahan might have to answer to his boss as well. As a shareholder, would you want them to make a gamble of a deal that either wins them the Cup or misses the playoffs? Or would you want the guaranteed revenue from one or hopefully more playoff series? Remember from `93 to the lockout, Toronto was in the most playoffs of any Canadian team. Didn't win the Cup, but that level of consistency generated the most revenue. When someone like Ferruccio Lamborghini or Enzo Ferrari had a vision, it happened. When G.M. had some great visons, the corporate poison got in and the end result was the Pontiac Fiero and Asteck. All it would take was someone from up above crying that they lost out on Stamkos, so they demanded their management team sign Tavares. (Nothing wrong with Tavares the player and human being, but you can't afford too many contracts like that.) And just like that your salary cap hands are tied behind your back. The other players are going to use that as a benchmark for their own contracts. You're constantly fighting to fill the roster with high enough talent. You can't retain players, they're signing with other teams. The reality is, Shanahan might of been saying the equivalent that they should build a Mazda Miata and corporate told him they need to put a Chevette front suspension on the Fiero.
Hearing Hayley Wickenheiser say "to get a taste of what being a Toronto Maple Leaf is all about".... it makes me wonder what is the actual answer to that question? Besides getting paid the highest what is the identity of the Leafs? lol
The leafs will be so easy to play against haha Austin a Captain 😂 thats the player they needed to trade haha what a joke , the butt hole of the league , Toronto
I just came up with a new name for this team. The Dollar Store Leafs. We're always broke and only take what we get. We keep losing players and never gain anything. This team was way better before and had depth and the big 4 just raped us and took away all the depth and even shitty players like Kampf, liljegren and Woll get overpaid. We don't even have any cheap contracts or enough money to sign Robertson. This team is fucked. And it all started with a Tavares and losing Hyman and Kadri. Hell I still think we should've kept Bozak and JVR.
@@johnsummerhill8323 gym and had 58 goals wtf. Are you a saying. Kadri won a cup at a cap it of 4.25 million you don't think the leafs could've used team friendly contracts. Bozak also won a cup with St Louis. How much was his contract?

@@7jcjg Cowan is pretty injury proof, and I'd wager the OHL is more physical than the NHL since everyone is literally fighting for a spot in the show
I think he may need one more year in junior to sharpen his skill set. It won’t hurt him

We are supposed to have one of the lower tier prospect pools in the league, but this warms the heart! Future looks pretty damn good!
