The moment on the boat when Johnny says "The moment you had waking up in that dump, he's having that moment right now. He's being reborn." That really struck my heart. I found Kerry annoying at first as the sad rich guy but in helping him deal with his issues I really liked him and legit I want to see his character finally be happy. I can't imagine pining for someone who died for 50 years and feeling like you never got to say what you wanted to them. That had to eat at him but he deserves to be reborn. We all do.
i personally never got annoyed of kerry mainly because he was a samurai so there was determined to be some shit im not gonna lie lol. but i do remember when i first met him i assumed by the year 2077 and the layout of his house i just thought he was lazy and didnt care about much at this point so i didnt even expect him to get off his ass but oh boy wasnt i excited to get that call/ message about sabotaging the (been a sec and i forgot the name of the band/crew but feel free to remind me in the comments to edit) band i didnt even know what to expect but by the end of the journey i enjoyed my experience and friendship with kerry hes a masterpiece of a character
Lets not forget the voicemail at the end during the credits. Makes me laugh out loud every time. Not sure if its the accent or actually what he says. Just reminds me of genuine voicemails I've had and even left myself.
This song reminds me of that Johnny sidequest where he points at a dude playing guitar in the streets: "Technique's second rate, but the feeling - that's what counts. Guy's hurting, got something he can't take. And it shows." Now, technique in Kerry's song is DEFINETLY NOT second rate, but there's a lot of feeling there. And you can almost point out what he feels.
and the best part, this is the first new song he's written in a long time. By helping kerry, befriending him as both Johnny and V, helping him find himself again, we not only save his life, we help him find his passion, his fire again. And it's downright beautiful
to think everyone hated this game at first, how buggy it was.. now its a beautiful masterpiece. I've always loved this game from the start, bugs and all. I'm so glad CD Projekt Red got their head together and fixed everything, to make a game now beloved by everyone.@@otaldoThal

Honestly, the thing this game got perfect was it's characters. So many moments like this, where the line between game and reality starts to blur, where characters almost seem real. The first time V sat with the Aldecadoes, finally apart of a family again after so long. The first time she sat in the back of a Yacht listening to a man finally let his true feelings out on his guitar. The first time she saw Laguna Bend, and got to experience the beauty and sadness of the world around her. I will remember these moments.
You're so right. There were definitely a couple times the interactions between V and so many of the wonderful characters felt so real. Like actual friendships being made. Wish there was a few more interactions with everyone honestly, but all of them are so lovely.
That's what makes Cyberpunk as a franchise so amazing really. At the end of the day when you set all the big flashy stuff like cyberware aside it's amazingly close to reality. People just trying to get by and make the most of bad situations

Words cannot describe how much I love this. It was excellent before these additions, but now? Amazing. I've always loved this piece since I first heard it in-game. I spent a long time just cruising with Kerry on the boat, listening to it. It makes me feel melancholy, but not in a bad way? It's hard to describe. It's like, being mediocre, but being okay with it, if that makes sense? Like, we're all living our lives, going with the flow while bigger things are happening around us. Things that most of us cant do anything about, whether they be good or bad. We're all normal, we're all human, and that's okay. We don't need to be rich, smart, good-looking, have high aspirations or anything like that. We're all living our lives, each and every one of us is having our own human experience that effects us differently, and as long as we have each other, we'll be okay. As you say, it's impossible to describe with words... In my language we have a word for this feeling : "inéffable" (that you can not describe with words). And yes I feel too that Cyberpunk speak us a lot about this feeling. I can't see anything but melancholy in Johnny's eyes. Even he always wears sun-glasses. You know, this feeling you are in car who is rolling so fast that it can't stop now... It was my last mission for my 100% playthrough, no more gigs or even NCPD stuff. By that point, V has been through so much shit, confronted by the worst NC has to offer, got nagged by a bitchy Johnny countless of times and forced to take shitty decisions for a handfull of a €$. And now, at the back of that yacht.. He/She's far away from the stench of the city, Johnny is present but doesn't peep a word and you're with one of the few friends NC offered you. Then that friend wants to burn the yacht down to take revenge. But for my V at the time, it was much, much more. It was pure catharsis.
Did the exact same thing last night. No more cars to buy, no more NCPD scans to clean up, no more side gigs or side quests to complete--just one final goodbye. Just one final song before the world caves in. Nocturne Op55N1, here we come. God I'm gonna miss this game.
I did the same by accident on my first playthrough. In hindsight, it was a really good mission to save for the end before the final confrontation. Kind of has this feeling of this is V's final moments in Night City and he realises its not always so bad, the city and people will keep going on even after he's gone
Ok, we can all agree that this mission is preem for a last mission. You guys did it on accident. I did alot of saving towards the end, so I'm controlling the narrative. I'm going TO PURPOSELY save this mission as my last one...and of course let it rock until we dock
After playing this mission, I wished I kept it for the last. It's one of the best send offs- after all is said and done and nothing is left for V, it's time for a new chapter (starting the life loop again, if you will)

i feel like some parts of the guitar is meant to be vocalized, since Kerry doesn't have lyrics yet he let the guitar sang.. this almost sounds like a complete song.

I believe Kerry’s version of Chippin’ in is the completed version of this song, I noticed that a lot of the chords in the yacht song and Kerry’s Chippin’ in are very similar if you listen closely
Maybe im being dumb but i really hope that CDPR release the finished version of this song in a future dlc. When you go to Kerry's house you can ask if he is working on something and he says yes but he will not show the unfinished version of it, this made me hopefull for a future release.

I recently beat Cyberpunk 2077 and throughout it all I didnt want the story to end so I did what anyone else would have done, I played the side missions. Once I got to Kerry's missions though I had finally found the best part of the game for me personally, his character and dreams made him my favorite character
Yup, that mission made me realise that it's okay to finish the game and move on. Up until that point I had been trying to procrastinate the ending for so long, but after that boat ride I accepted it. Kinda parallels V's experience in a weird way. Trying not to face their mortality and run from it only to accept that something has to be done regardless of the outcome.

I fr sat through the entire boat ride when this was being played on guitar by Kerry. I just couldn't bring myself to skip it. The meanings behind the entire thing especially with johnny laying there on the side of the boat just listening was amazing, and I just related to it a lot. We all have something we just need to let go.. we all deserve to be reborn. We all deserve second chances to find ourselves, but it's our responsibility to take that leap towards the unknown in order to grow. A Game really hasn't affected me this much in a while. no song has been stuck in my head for as long as this. i truly congratulate to whoever made this song in the first place. they've done an amazing job on it. this all just shows so much pain. even though i've not played cyberpunk so i don't know any story behind this or anything it still hits harder than any other song i've ever heard.
His name is P.T. Adamczyk, he made a lot of the songs you hear throughout CP2077, including SAMURAI and others. He's an excellent artist and did a great job conveying the feeling of Night City through music.

Well.. You see those trailers with Johnny and his "wake up samurai we have city to burn". You feel like it will be nice combat game. Bullshit. You lose your friend, meet amazing people in your way to your destination. You fall in love with Panam even if she is not real, you realize it's girl of your dreams. You one last time go with your friends or more family I'd say on suicide mission. Then you choose to go with your love somewhere to be happy with the life you have left. Then you turn off game and cry listening to this song. You feel nostalgic about life you never have. You miss people you never met. Best and worst game in my life.
The relationship that you have with Kerry is very strange, at first your just the guy caring around Johnny and helping him out, but when he calls you to take down that van, its probably only because he wants Johnny to be their in some way, but when your sitting in that coffee shop you start become something more, your the guy who can light his flame and take control of his life again but also the one who can temper it and make him see clearly what his life is and how to be better. And to V, Kerry's one of the only people he can talk to about the complex nature of Night City, a place to build dreams even if it means squandering the dreams of other people, taking life away in a endless rush of violence and betrayal while also being a place where you can sit down and just bask in the beauty of the place. This game isn't perfect but I didn't need to be in order to deliver moments like this.
I never played the game, and it's going to stay like that. But I know this song from another place, another time. I don't think I would be as close to my friends if it weren't for that game, and I don't think that game would of been treated right if it weren't for this song. These additions, although small, make it all the more nostalgic to me. Back when things were simpler. Decaying winter really changed my life for the better. And this game did too, just indirectly. I'm more than thankful.

I know this is most commonly associated with Decaying winter on roblox and Cyberpunk (the game the song comes from) but the feeling this song gives is so nice. It’s like you just overcame a challenge that’s plagued you forever, or you finally got to achieve that one thing you always wanted. And lastly of all, it encapsulates the feeling of something ending. But when you watch in the side mirror, you can see the whole road that brought you here. For me too... it make me cry and smile at the same time. I can't explain it to other or, sometimes, even for myself. So that's what I call an inéffable emotion.

It was my last mission for my 100% playthrough, no more gigs or even NCPD stuff.
By that point, V has been through so much shit, confronted by the worst NC has to offer, got nagged by a bitchy Johnny countless of times and forced to take shitty decisions for a handfull of a €$. And now, at the back of that yacht.. He/She's far away from the stench of the city, Johnny is present but doesn't peep a word and you're with one of the few friends NC offered you. Then that friend wants to burn the yacht down to take revenge. But for my V at the time, it was much, much more.
It was pure catharsis.
Did the exact same thing last night. No more cars to buy, no more NCPD scans to clean up, no more side gigs or side quests to complete--just one final goodbye. Just one final song before the world caves in. Nocturne Op55N1, here we come. God I'm gonna miss this game.
I did the same by accident on my first playthrough. In hindsight, it was a really good mission to save for the end before the final confrontation. Kind of has this feeling of this is V's final moments in Night City and he realises its not always so bad, the city and people will keep going on even after he's gone

Ok, we can all agree that this mission is preem for a last mission. You guys did it on accident. I did alot of saving towards the end, so I'm controlling the narrative. I'm going TO PURPOSELY save this mission as my last one...and of course let it rock until we dock
After playing this mission, I wished I kept it for the last. It's one of the best send offs- after all is said and done and nothing is left for V, it's time for a new chapter (starting the life loop again, if you will)

I believe Kerry’s version of Chippin’ in is the completed version of this song, I noticed that a lot of the chords in the yacht song and Kerry’s Chippin’ in are very similar if you listen closely

When you go to Kerry's house you can ask if he is working on something and he says yes but he will not show the unfinished version of it, this made me hopefull for a future release.

I recently beat Cyberpunk 2077 and throughout it all I didnt want the story to end so I did what anyone else would have done, I played the side missions. Once I got to Kerry's missions though I had finally found the best part of the game for me personally, his character and dreams made him my favorite character
Yup, that mission made me realise that it's okay to finish the game and move on. Up until that point I had been trying to procrastinate the ending for so long, but after that boat ride I accepted it. Kinda parallels V's experience in a weird way. Trying not to face their mortality and run from it only to accept that something has to be done regardless of the outcome.

It’s as if us agents are decaying… decaying winter if you will
I fr sat through the entire boat ride when this was being played on guitar by Kerry. I just couldn't bring myself to skip it. The meanings behind the entire thing especially with johnny laying there on the side of the boat just listening was amazing, and I just related to it a lot. We all have something we just need to let go.. we all deserve to be reborn. We all deserve second chances to find ourselves, but it's our responsibility to take that leap towards the unknown in order to grow.

no song has been stuck in my head for as long as this. i truly congratulate to whoever made this song in the first place. they've done an amazing job on it. this all just shows so much pain. even though i've not played cyberpunk so i don't know any story behind this or anything it still hits harder than any other song i've ever heard.

His name is P.T. Adamczyk, he made a lot of the songs you hear throughout CP2077, including SAMURAI and others. He's an excellent artist and did a great job conveying the feeling of Night City through music.
It's crazy how this ONE SONG, personifies Night City and living in it. Wether you're a Legend or a choom, Corpo or Cyberpsycho...this song tells it all. Only reason I bought 2077 was because of Edgerunners. This entire journey is a W. Good job CD PJR/ Studio Trigger

Well.. You see those trailers with Johnny and his "wake up samurai we have city to burn". You feel like it will be nice combat game. Bullshit. You lose your friend, meet amazing people in your way to your destination. You fall in love with Panam even if she is not real, you realize it's girl of your dreams. You one last time go with your friends or more family I'd say on suicide mission. Then you choose to go with your love somewhere to be happy with the life you have left. Then you turn off game and cry listening to this song. You feel nostalgic about life you never have. You miss people you never met. Best and worst game in my life.
The relationship that you have with Kerry is very strange, at first your just the guy caring around Johnny and helping him out, but when he calls you to take down that van, its probably only because he wants Johnny to be their in some way, but when your sitting in that coffee shop you start become something more, your the guy who can light his flame and take control of his life again but also the one who can temper it and make him see clearly what his life is and how to be better. And to V, Kerry's one of the only people he can talk to about the complex nature of Night City, a place to build dreams even if it means squandering the dreams of other people, taking life away in a endless rush of violence and betrayal while also being a place where you can sit down and just bask in the beauty of the place. This game isn't perfect but I didn't need to be in order to deliver moments like this.
Before this, my favorite loop song was the Sanctuary Ship by Nujabes. The drums really make this song alive on a whole other level.

I don't think I would be as close to my friends if it weren't for that game, and I don't think that game would of been treated right if it weren't for this song. These additions, although small, make it all the more nostalgic to me. Back when things were simpler.

I know this is most commonly associated with Decaying winter on roblox and Cyberpunk (the game the song comes from) but the feeling this song gives is so nice. It’s like you just overcame a challenge that’s plagued you forever, or you finally got to achieve that one thing you always wanted. And lastly of all, it encapsulates the feeling of something ending. Like realizing something you thought wasn’t long ago will now be a memory. Or recalling a time that you miss.
