This song, diving with judy, chilling with panam by the fire.Johnny asking if you'd take a bullet for him. All the moments that just pull you a little deeper into this amazing world.
Literally, though i have some kind of phobia for some deep unknown dark waters. Scared me to see how deep that lake was the first time. Enjoyed it most of the time though. That chilling with panam and the gang by the fire was one of my favourite moments. Really throwing u into the world of the game
Also seating in a coffee with Kerry, just chilling after the crazy night. Or playing on a scene as a Johny with an old band.. This is the only game where I really felt myself as a part of process not simple viewer
I’m honestly insanely surprised about the depth and effort that went into this game. It may not have “good driving mechanics” but damn. This whole game was a vibe.
Honestly, same. Its been a helluva ride so far. And this just kinda sums up the depth of the main story with a couple minutes of music while also missing the depth of it. Its such a unique experience.
Helping Kerry move on from Johnny and helping Johnny to redeem himself is some of the best character writing I have ever seen. I love this game so much.
It's always interesting looking at those numbers. Sadly, I think most people just don't have the time. His questline is later in the story though. But, it's so worth seeing, especially after the rest of his story.
7% on GOG. Keep in mind that for some people (including me, in one save) the Us Cracks quest doesn't proc. Honestly, the game needed another year before it was done, or they should've delivered the 2018 version rather than remaking it from the bottom up.
First play through missed it too, it’s because you have to wait 24 hours after every mission and drive around a bit. First time I competed the game under 4 in-game days lol I didn’t even know there was more to Johnny’s quests
This should 100% have been the ending theme for the "Johnny" ending, it fits so well with the theme of cherishing memories of friends gone and moving on with your life.
@@theorphan4754 I don't see them changing any of the music personally, I feel like that's the one thing everyone can agree is perfect as it is. Kerry's song would be nice and sentimental in this scene but the OG is rlly good too and it was made for this scene so I don't think they need to change that or any of the soundtrack
The fact that this song doesn't even explicitly end unless you ask it to, and that the devs made the boat just keep going on its' own and everything, kinda gives away that the devs themselves may not have really wanted this scene to end, either. And I think that's super neat.
Right me too. I just didn't click the button curious if the song would end. But as soon as that whole part was over I jumped on TH-cam to listen on repeat for literally hours
Who else literally sat in game and just listened with they volume up and eyes closed, lived the game, didn't care about the bugs and problems, all I cared for was the story it gave us and tbh, wasn't disappointed
I waited until about a week ago to start the game. For the entirety of that time (since the release) I avoided literally ANY spoilers. I avoided any streams, videos, articles, anything about the game. One of the best games I've ever played honestly. Made me cry 2-3 times throughout it. I just learned to play this song on the guitar as well! SPOILER ALERT: I got the The Star (Panam) ending as female V with Judy. Best ending I could've hoped for.
Even if Johnny won’t say it or show it, he probably feels horrible watching this. Grey haired Kerry, Rogue, the rest...seeing them all fade away. He plays a tough guy, but by the end you know he’s hurting.
I think life expectancy increases (of natural causes) considering how old saburo is. Sure he's rich but it'd make sense that with such advanced tech we would live longer
@@plexyglass429 from what I remember reading the loading screen tips n stuff, there is technology to help with aging, but it’s only really accessible by the rich/elite
@@plexyglass429 Saburo is 158 and Kerry is 89 lol. Kerry came into money pretty early on which is why he looks like 40ish. The tech wasn't advanced enough for Saburo to keep a younger appearance like Kerry. But money is the main part of it, which is why Nancy looks like she aged slower but more appropriate and why Kerry and Denny look so damn good for being literal seniors lol
Johnny really valued his friends and was afraid of getting too close, especially after Alt. He didn't want to care but he did and that's what bothered him the most.
just completed his quest line this evening... it was.. oddly beautiful. Ker’s riff on the boat brought me to tears almost.. watching Kerry grow more mature and out of Johnny’s shadow was heartwarming.. such a beautifully written character
Same. I love all the Act 3 side quests. That's when the game *really* comes into its own and feels super polished. It's a fucking CDPR game, it doesn't feel right unless you do at least the main side quests!
doesn't change the fact that the game is buggy and sometimes crashy, but i still enjoyed my ride through the game, it may not be perfect, some sidemissions are boring, but you can't deny that on its best moments, this game shows beauty and emotions which is not something i found in a lot of games.
@@edgrdfw totally agree, played cp on ps4 and the witcher on my old real bad computer so both were nearly unplayable and i have to say that these games are more of a really good movie than a typical game which is why we are so many that still really enjoyed the game despite all its flaws
This will be the game of the year 2021. It is a matter of time. Especially considering what they did with Witcher3, state of the game before, and after dlcs. Yeah, game did not enter ranking for Goty 2020, so we are yet to await and see.
The game is an absolute dumpster fire and a borderline unplayable for most people. Most of what was promised didn't even make it to the game, the AI is so fucking awful, things despawn when you look away and back real quick, police just spawns behind you, some mobs will just 1 shot, updates caused a bunch of new issues and fixed nothing, the city feels completely dead, the driving is awful, combat is sluggish and clunky and your choices never matter in the game besides choosing your ending. But god damn the art and music is amazing. So much unrealized potential in this game and it makes me sad
My favorite part of this scene is how Johnny lays on the side of the boat listening to Kerry play. He doesn't say any sarcastic one liners or joke around, instead opting to remain completely silent until the end of the boat ride. Really shows how he develops with V, and it really shows how much Kerry means to him.
I just finished yet another play through of the game and this time I decided to go 100% male corpo (I picked every corpo dialogue option) and at the end, Kerry was the only one in any of the endings including suicide where he doesn't give you crap. He strikes me as the kind of partner that would back whatever decision you made in life
Sad fact : A lot of people (90%) did not end the game with 100% completion, and will surely never feel Night City like the others. Oh man, I'm stuck in this city, walking in the streets' like drugs. I really hope they'll work hard on DLCs to make it even more immersive !
@@shaheera.8150 Maybe DLC as in tiny stuff like maybe adding haircuts, weapons, or a single quest but not the big expansions. Witcher 3 came out May 2015 with the first expansion in Oct 2015 and the 2nd in May 2016 so 1 year later. With them having a lot to patch with this game as well as getting the next gen updates out I can see it being a long while before we see any of the expansions. But yeah maybe they start the little dlc’s by March but just don’t expect big things.
One the few "OST"s that I actually keep coming back to, perfectly captures what CP77 was about for many of us who loved the game, even though they couldn't 100% nail their vision
@@lo-fibox9242 honestly, i had the most fun treating the game as a story game rather than an open world rpg, finished the story within the first 2 days and i would call this the best game of 2020 for me
@@lo-fibox9242 dude are we playing the same game? There's 40+ hours of awesome side missions, the perk leveling system is fantastic, the weapon choice is diverse and insanely satisfying, the environment is gorgeous, the characters are real and endearing, the story arc is classic, etc...
@@Truth_In_Victory yes theres plenty of amazing content to be played and he has no issue with the game, he's just sad there could've been even more to enjoy but we didn't get to fully enjoy everything cdpr had to offer
It’s moments like these that set Cyberpunk apart from almost any other game in my mind. Not even games like RDR2 or BG3 invoke this kind of feeling in me, this game has such a special quality to it that I can’t quite place my finger on, and I’m not sure I need to.
It was moments like these that really helped me see what cyberpunk was trying to be. I can only hope that CDPR chooses to make the whole game like this... Edit: what I meant to convey was I really wanted to see the care that was put into this particular questline throughout the rest of the game.
@@Sizzox if that leaked dev statement thats floating around is actually accurate then they cut out over 100 gb of content from the released product. So its totally possoble that there couldve been a lot more quests like this one that we havent seen. Fingers crossed.
@@josht9102 I 100% believe that there could have been more quests like this. Maybe we'll se some in the dlc that they'll release but i have a hard time believing that they'll add stuff like this for free, no strings attached. one can hope tho...
@@Sizzox Having the entire game like this is not the point of the game tho. You are in shit city with people dying left and right, the idea is to make you care more about these moments because they will not last forever and you won't encounter many. Another point is that they are trying to show how the people can be nice, but the city is destroying them. As for the DLC stuff ,that's exactly what they did with TW3, so there's no point to believe they won't do the same again. Also for the "But stuff like this can't be added as an afterthought ". They did this to The Witcher 1,2 and 3. They modified whole gameplay systems and added story parts/dialogs based on community feedback.
I would love to hear on the radio "Now, my friends, here the HOT new single from Kerry Eurodyne" and it plays the full song, with lyrics, after this mission
My uncle took his own life last year and I got a hold of his PC recently to only find out that he reset his PC to factory settings with chrome installed. I checked his history and found that this specific video was the only and last thing he was watching before he was gone. He was a fan of the witcher and CD PROJECT RED and he took his life not long after this game's release. Wish i had a chance to tell him how amazing this song is... May he rest in peace.
So you had to tell him it was good even tho he watched it? plus I highly doubt he even knew about this after the game was released cuz literally nobody did
After starting with nomad and ending nomad it really made me realize the hole In my heart with family. My mom has spent years trying to get my forgiveness but only after years of hatred I’m only just starting to heal. I’m finally able to start to begin to forgive my mom listening to this song makes me feel like I was on a stormy ocean hit with wave after wave of anger and depression, and now I’m leaving that storm, the angry ocean is starting to calm and now I’m sailing smoothly towards a beautiful sunset and able to rest. Thank you Aldecados for helping me save myself.
I know it sounds kinda lame but I feel like I can feel v on what is happening in there life my mom always says i sound and look like my dad which isnt a good thing and it just fucks with me like in the game v is starting to turn into Jonny
@@isiahcline5959 my mom used to do the same thing. she used to say how stupid and abusive my dad was and how i was just like him. it used to destroy me emotionally and bring me so much pain ad yet they did it anyways. they knew how it affected me and yet they did it anyways so i know how you feel.l
@@isiahcline5959 When I was a kid my parents, who divorced when I was 10, used to tell me how much like the other I am. I apparently embody all the traits that each didn't like about the other. This was the moment Kerry was able to come to terms with his life and release all that pain, fear, and resentment he’d held for so long. A moment spurred by a person who brought him the closure he needed and a love he never thought he’d find for anyone. It was such a beautiful moment…he deserves so much more. Him and V both deserve better. This game had such beautiful writing. Don’t care about the bugs and glitches.
for me this song captures the entire game. it's this "life goes on" kinda feeling. perfect for kerry's "loops" and for coming to terms with an end. end of the game, end of a relationship, end of a chapter, end of a life. its just so bittersweet. (more bitter than sweet depending on your ending lol)
This song is such a nice change of pace from Kerry's usual chaotic behaviour - a look into his vulnerable side. I chose to romance him, and after his quest line he messages V saying that he's writing a song whilst thinking about him and it was just the purest thing ever. Kerry is the best romance option by far.
The hook sounds like he's saying: "tough times, tough times... don't really get up to much ... their time, your time... time to take a little.. time." see at 23:34
I’ve never played a game that has got me more in the feels, from rocking as Johnny in V’s body, Jackie dying the virtual character I got attached to, music playing with Panama and the vets by a campfire, and many more just like this song Kerry playing with Johnny Sliverhand just laying on his back Chilling 10/10 - Some Random Guy
I had a close feeling when playing TW3, thing is this is a FPS game so you're in the front view and not playing a character, you ARE the character, in TW3 you're experiencing Geralt's life, CB77 just hit different...
Honestly I can count on one hand how many games made me cry, this by far is top of that list for not making me cry once but twice. I got attached to Jackie, this music, Panam, the tragic backstory that everyone you meet has. I got pulled in, I have been telling everyone at my work who starts playing to "Send Jackie home." Just that little message is all that is needed, because the playthrough I did that I fell for this game, bugs and all. Sleep well sweet prince, keep rocking you Rockstar, and make the city burn.
Well, go to red dead redemption if this kind of stuff makes you like the game, the campfire talks are all unique, lots of musics played by javier, in terms of character construction and world liveness, red dead is way better than cyberpunk, it loses on gunplay tho, another kind of game, slow and clunky character, just like a regular human
I just finished this mission and it nearly made me cry. You can feel the soul in the notes and Johnny chillin in the background pulled everything together, like our own private concert
For real. I almost cried as soon as the song started playing. With the background floating by. You can feel kerrys heart and emotions in it so much. And what he says to v. It truly is just amazing
It’s mindblowing, that this game has some very realistic animations and there wasn’t any of the thrashy, same re-used guitar animations... In fact, this animation fits very well with what he’s playing.
I cried the first time i saw this. Like all the bugs and delays were worth it for just this moment of beauty alone. That all of the sadness, hurt, and hopeless dreams never mattered because this moment. That i would trade my entire save file to stay with kerry in that moment forever listening to his soul sing. I know johnny felt it too while he stared into that sunset with me.
Hey, I’m there with you, buddy. This song added to the very soul of the game. To think that I almost missed it because my fem!V wasn’t interested in him. haha
God there’s so many missions in this game that feel like real relationships. Like you’re actually seeing these characters in their most vulnerable, honest state. Very few games are able to pull that off believably. This is just soothing and feels so right and natural even though V is literally dying at this moment. I think this and several other missions just show such beautiful and true connection between characters that not many games can fully realize.
I was doing pretty shitty, someone I loved very much had betrayed me for the last time. During that time I started playing cyberpunk just to get my mind off things and by god I love this game. Every character feels like they have actual emotions and I felt as if I could resonate with these characters. This song in particular getting stuck in my head because I feel something in it, like sadness yet a peaceful kind of sadness. In the process of adding my own lyrics to this and hopefully be able to use it as a coping mechanism.
I feel you 100 percent bro. It was almost magical when I played this part and I heard the guitar riff. I instantly sank forward and closed my eyes. Almost teared up. It's beautiful in a sad and emotional way. Just awesome
I did the same man. Wrote my own lyrics to this song. You can feel the beautiful pain in the rift and humming. Some people may not get it but I felt it. Whoever wrote and recorded this definitely put his soul into it.
Don't forget David Martinez, Lucy, Rebecca and all the others from Edgerunners. Cyberpunk franchise is starting to get a lot of amazing characters we all love dearly.
Crazy how a game that is all about the chaos, destruction, and general awful state of the world and how success is fleeting and happiness is essentially elusive and then they hit you with this beautiful and still moment.
Don't Leave me hanging on another line, just Don't Don't go turning on another dime, not this time Don't leave me waking up alone and cold in this home. Cause I can't do any better. Tough times Tough times I Didn't mean to let things slide Tough times Tough times I never meant to let you down when you needed me Tough times Tough times I Didn't mean to let things slide when we were in, Tough times Tough times I Couldn't Pay you what I owed ya. And that tab's been running a long time. Don't Leave me walking through another fire, just Don't Leave me building you another pyre, not this time Don't think that dealing with the devil Doesn't have its upsides, but you could do it better God knows you tried Hell knows I've tried But lately there's, Tough times Tough times I Didn't really give you much though we had Tough times Tough times I never meant to let you down when you needed me Tough times Tough times Never meant to let things slide Tough times Tough times I Couldn't. Pay you the mind that you deserved And that tabs been running a long time. **Interlude with a verse of original humming** Now Life feels nothing like the way it was 'fore we were done And the skies are turning grey, kinda how i feel inside and i've been trying to get better but in the end it's hard to get up from the gutter God knows i've tried, Hell knows i've tried. Tough times Tough times I Didn't mean to let things slide Tough times Tough times I never meant to let you down when you needed me Tough times Tough times I Didn't mean to let things slide when we were in, Tough times Tough times I Couldn't Give you what you need. And that tabs been runnin a long time. Tough times Tough times I never meant to hurt you, things just happen Tough times Tough times Idiots like me deserves what you give to them Tough times Tough times Never thought that we'd be apart like this but i know now.. Cuz that tabs been running for too long. (Original version of these lyrics goes to Elliot Jeffrey in the comment field over here: th-cam.com/video/09211b9qfI4/w-d-xo.html, I've made some modifications and added some stuff to it to suit this version of the song.) :)
Man, this takes me back to early in the lockdown... the TV was buzzing with all kinds of violent speech and actions... lots of fear... and people dying to Covid, or each other. So, it was sunset and I just turned it all off and went outside and I couldn't hear a soul. I'm learning to play guitar so I found some chords to play rhythm along with Kerry here. After a while, I just chill out and listened, closed my eyes and listened to the birds and bugs... I wasn't sure where the world was gonna go, but just chilling out with Kerry's track made me feel I could handle it. I'll always come back to this track for this reason; not to remember those days, but to not forget that I can handle the days to come. Be blessed everyone.
I always thought it was funny how when you learn guitar the teachers tell you to sit straight and with good posture then you see the best players just relaxing in whatever position they vibe with

I can just see this being a really epic/ emotional background music for a cinematic trailer where V is just walking through all the chaos of Night City remembering all the things he's seen and all the people he's met and all the people he's lost, with Arasaka in his view as he walks towards where he'll make his last stand.
From the Arasaka heist, to our buddy Jackie passing, meeting Johnny, our missions with Evelyn and Judy, our escapades with Panam and the aldecaldos, and so many other people you meet along the way, this game is so well written to actually make you FEEL it...
There is something so beautiful, yet so painful about this song. He's talking about loops, about accepting endings to allow room for new beginnings. We meet Kerry so late into the game that we have so little time with him. He's such a bittersweet legend.
400 hours invested in cyberpunk and this remains one of my absolute favorite moments of the entire game. Done this mission 7 times and every single time I turn the volume up and close my eyes and imagine i'm there on the boat. It's absolutely beautiful. I sincerely appreciate how all of the romancable companions final missions (except Panam I guess) give V a taste of calm.
God this song hit a soft spot in me. Just finished the story yesterday. Kinda underwhelmed cause I fucked myself over with playing the last main quest over the course of a day and a half, instead of the big 2 hour session it was meant for, so I was all emotional choosing which path, but when i was riding with the Aldecaldos I wasn't fully present maybe. Anyway, still got a great ending, but ya... idk. To me, this song should've been playing at the end or something. The chord changes in this song are just fucking amazing, as a guitarist i immediately want to learn this song
if you do the aldecado ending put dialogue and sfx down during the car ride and just look at the city, hit me hard I actually started missing it lol song is so good with it too
I finished this game, every side quest, with about 80 hours clocked. Considering the top best side quests, this one is easily the second best if not THE best in the game. He feels real, this song is amazing, and there's a personal connection for both you and Johnny, simultaneously bringing your connection closer to Kerry and Johnny. I have been saying it and I will always keep saying it, this game has some of the best writing in this past decade, almost every quest feels genuine, everyone in those side quests feel real, and I am genuinely grateful but sad at the same time that I've played it and will never get to experience this fantastic game for the first time again. I will miss Nightcity and everyone I met on my journey there. Thanks CD, it meant the world to me.
@@eraldorh And I did. And of course there's no real "good" ending. It's a game about how even when you do succeed, its not gonna be 100% in for favor. It's about realism, and how you cant expect everything to work out. It might not have been your cup of tea but I loved it.
This moments like this makes romancing kerry so worth it. Just wish there where more opportunities to have interaction like this with Kerry in the game. But at the same time rarity makes you treasure the moment even more good job CDPR 🤟
Honestly I wish we could just hang out with our romance partners (I chose Kerry ha) or go on dates, or at the *very* least have more dialogue options when calling them. I want to feel like they're really a part of V's life, ya know?
I agree, I went through every quest turned down everyone just so I could get to Kerry and boy was I glad when I did lol truly pulled on my heartstrings, I miss him already haha
@@spi141 the storyline and character development was just amazing, I felt I connected with the characters so much then any other game I've played. With being so alone during COVID it intensified my feelings for Kerry haha 😂🤣
It's insane how it's easier to connect to well written fictional characters than actual people, I felt like I was making true friendships and comradery in reality when playing this and creating bonds with the main characters, and I love it.

Back in 2007, my freshman year of college in Hilo, Hawaii. I move in the dorms with a local of the town. Dude was this long haired skinny kid with a crazy girlfriend. Most of the time he’d be sitting on his side of the room and doing schoolwork, playing video games with me, knocking back shots of vodka, and then getting interrupted by some drama with his gf or his family. But there were always this spark in him to do right for everyone if it meant he’d be loved, even if they were from toxic people. And he had this guitar that he’d strum. He had learned to play some of the classics and stuff, but when he was stressed out at night, and I was trying to sleep, he’d play a quiet melody. At first I struggled to sleep, but eventually I found it soothing and could sleep easy with it. This strumming and riffing reminded me of that simpler time. When we were all young, and lost, and free…
Thats a really cool story man, made the vibe of this song even more special to me. If your interested i actually made a song on my channel, that is heavily inspired by Kerry boat song, has a really similar vibe. If you liked this song i highly reccomend u check it out! I’m a cyberpunk musician
I like to think that the people who stayed with the game even when it first came out are the best kinds of people, we watched this game go from a glitchy mess to (in my view) art. This song to me just tells even with all the madness in the game and the city, at the end it’s has beauty and a point where it’s all worth it. I first played this on old gen and this moment will always be the point I sat back and thought, yeah gigs glitched, cars went into the ground, characters didn’t render. But it’s all worth it for the small beautiful moments, these are the moments people who gave up on the game will never experience and it’s the few of us who stuck around who got this treat. This game is awesome, it’s beautiful and the makers should be proud of what they made, think you all agree too.
It has been a couple of weeks since I beaten the game and I still look at this moment. As a gamer who has played every RPG possible dating back to Dragon Age 1 I can say I def enjoyed this game. Yes every game literally every game out there has flaws yes this game happens to have more than others. But I'm willing to put aside my negative view point and look at what was beautiful. And moments like sitting by the camp fire, talking to a monk that shows you serenity, guitarist sitting on the side of the streets, nights times walking inside and out night city was what made me loved the game. I appreciate all the hard work that had been put into each game developers and wish everyone could just look at the positive side of things more. Especially with what is going around the world we really don't need anymore sadness/hate.
It's funny that the people who said they played the game and they hate it because it's short and stuff also often say that they don't recognize this mission...
Everything about this scene was immaculate. The setting, the song, Johnny laying on the side of the boat just vibbing, the peace before torching the thing.... I rarely get immersed in the atmosphere of games, but I sat here as long as I could enjoying the moment.
Thank you for this. While I'm working in home office, now I just have to restart it 8 times a day, instead of doing it every 5 minutes. You saved me so much time
@@SpectralTideFlow nah it doesn't work like that, I work with my office pc and everything has to be installed by the IT guys, I don't even dare to touch anything on it.
Honestly I love how this song is about letting go and releasing yourself from negative influences in your life. it's just so soothing and introspective.
whats so cool about this game is that not only did they add this incredible song, they also accurately animated Kerry's fingers so he's actually playing the right frets. which means, i can learn this amazing song on my very own guitar :) thanks for this hour mix btw op!!
For real, that is what I was amazed at, when I met that guy at the market I was let eh and then I looked more at it and realised he was actually playing it, I learned it in a few hours and wow. Never had that experience in a game
This song is full of closures, feels like a bittersweet feeling of victory over the life that Kerry live under Johnny Silverhand’s shadow, feels like a passionate love song for a long lost love that he couldn’t get over with, but at end feels like he was freed, anyway, this melody is very deep
Sad that this game will have such a negative memory because of the problems on release One of my favorite games I’ve ever played tbh, which is hard to come by considering how many I’ve actually played
look into the world, into the dysopian ads, the random people staggering along the street, clearly hurting. listen to the news and the picture it paints, and read between the lines. Read the shards, and see the pain and struggle of people trying to survive in a cruel future. Gaze upon the design of the game, see the Moon CD shot for, see the giants they tried to surpass, and contemplate the sheer amount of BALLS it took to try and, not wade into, but PLOW headlong into what are unfamiliar waters for the company. The broken nature of the world fits a little too well with the at times broken nature of the game.
dont do it. ive played it twice and had a load of fun, top 3 games if not 1 for me right now. if i had the choice id wait some months till they fix stuff up and get dlc. trust me you wont regret it
I was wondering why I liked this tune so damn much, comparing it to RHCP makes it make a lot of sense, now! Can't believe I hadn't drawn that comparison, myself.
This has been my sleep track for over a year, and only now did I see this comment! Feel kinda dumb tho, since I'm such a massive fan, yet I never put it together!
I just wanted to say that I listened to this for hours and hours while writing my novel, anytime I needed to chill and feel some tranquility for my imagination. It helped me a lot, thank you
Thank you for posting. I'm Bi Polar and something about this song closing my eyes and taking some deep breaths helps ground me a little and even though things are rough sometimes I appreciate it and much love to you :3
those dudes who hate r just missing out ahahaha. games so good it made me make cyberpunk rock music even got a song similar to kerrys boat song, I make alot of my own Cyberpunk music : rock, ambient and trance. remixing chippin in as well very soon and also gonna complete the kerry boat song ;)
This episode litterally broke me. As much as the rest of the game, it's wonderful. As a man, i never loved so much to cry. Thank you, and thank you for all these emotions in this fucking awesome game.
Honestly this song is the reason I got into the game. Stumbled upon it on accident, fell in love immediately. Getting a silverhand tattoo soon. Thanks for turning me on to such an incredible story. I play this on guitar all the time and It really helps calm me down when I’m feeling bad.
I fr sat through the entire boat ride when this was being played on guitar by Kerry. I just couldn't bring myself to skip it. The meanings behind the entire thing were amazing, and i just related to it a lot. We all have something we just need to let go.. we all deserve to be reborn. We all deserve second chances to find ourselves, but it's our responsibility to take that leap towards the unknown in order to grow. A Game really hasn't affected me this much in a while. Thank you Cyberpunk 77
This is such a beautiful song even without lyrics... When i heard it for the first time it almost made me cry (heard it here, I didn't have the luck to experience it in game yet) It has a great vibe and a little sad undertone which makes it so good.

This song, diving with judy, chilling with panam by the fire.Johnny asking if you'd take a bullet for him. All the moments that just pull you a little deeper into this amazing world.
Me on my first play when I didn’t get the chance to dive with judy : D:
Literally, though i have some kind of phobia for some deep unknown dark waters. Scared me to see how deep that lake was the first time. Enjoyed it most of the time though. That chilling with panam and the gang by the fire was one of my favourite moments. Really throwing u into the world of the game

How do you get this, I didn't had this moment with him. Did the secondary mission btw
I love this moment. It's like Kerry's finally not trying to be someone else.
not living in Johnny's shadow
The fact that this song doesn't even explicitly end unless you ask it to, and that the devs made the boat just keep going on its' own and everything, kinda gives away that the devs themselves may not have really wanted this scene to end, either. And I think that's super neat.
Does it still ? For me Kerry decided to stop after the boat arrives destination
@@tomtowo Yeah same, mine automatically ended after like 10 minutes
Right me too. I just didn't click the button curious if the song would end. But as soon as that whole part was over I jumped on TH-cam to listen on repeat for literally hours

I wasn't disappointed. The story is great and the consistent patches and DLC promise also make up for any bugs

Imagine waking up 50 years in the future. seeing how your goals barely affected the world, and now all your friends are fading away

Johnny really valued his friends and was afraid of getting too close, especially after Alt. He didn't want to care but he did and that's what bothered him the most.

doesn't change the fact that the game is buggy and sometimes crashy, but i still enjoyed my ride through the game, it may not be perfect, some sidemissions are boring, but you can't deny that on its best moments, this game shows beauty and emotions which is not something i found in a lot of games.

We didn't spend enough time with Kerry, I wish there was more
Yes. I need more time with Kerry. It's could be an extra quest unlocked by romance with Kerry.
I wish there was more for ALL the characters. So much potential
I just finished yet another play through of the game and this time I decided to go 100% male corpo (I picked every corpo dialogue option) and at the end, Kerry was the only one in any of the endings including suicide where he doesn't give you crap. He strikes me as the kind of partner that would back whatever decision you made in life
Unfortunately, time was never on the side of both V and Johnny.

It was moments like these that really helped me see what cyberpunk was trying to be. I can only hope that CDPR chooses to make the whole game like this... Edit: what I meant to convey was I really wanted to see the care that was put into this particular questline throughout the rest of the game.

Kerry was like a piece of Johnny that was still alive. That made his quest line way more special to me.
Facts…plus his character adds so much humor and good moments to what otherwise would be a really dark game
for me this song captures the entire game. it's this "life goes on" kinda feeling. perfect for kerry's "loops" and for coming to terms with an end. end of the game, end of a relationship, end of a chapter, end of a life. its just so bittersweet.

Exactly
River, Judy, Kerry, Panam and Jackie, thank you, my life will never be the same

This song has made me pick up guitar again after 7 years of not playing and I couldn't be more grateful
This song and many others from CB made me start guitar in January
Best decision
I can just see this being a really epic/ emotional background music for a cinematic trailer where V is just walking through all the chaos of Night City remembering all the things he's seen and all the people he's met and all the people he's lost, with Arasaka in his view as he walks towards where he'll make his last stand.
I just realized Luke is a chad for not putting a single ad break in this. Ily bro.
I think that not putting an ad in a song should be an expectation not a suprise
Hey man I know it’s been 3 years since you made this comment but there are ad breaks I’m 12:32 in and i have already gotten two adds
Not anymore four ads 25% thru 😡
I sincerely appreciate how all of the romancable companions final missions (except Panam I guess) give V a taste of calm.
starfield is better

God this song hit a soft spot in me. Just finished the story yesterday. Kinda underwhelmed cause I fucked myself over with playing the last main quest over the course of a day and a half, instead of the big 2 hour session it was meant for, so I was all emotional choosing which path, but when i was riding with the Aldecaldos I wasn't fully present maybe. Anyway, still got a great ending, but ya... idk. To me, this song should've been playing at the end or something. The chord changes in this song are just fucking amazing, as a guitarist i immediately want to learn this song
if you do the aldecado ending put dialogue and sfx down during the car ride and just look at the city, hit me hard I actually started missing it lol song is so good with it too
What ending did you choose?
@@wooliewurl3471 Unless you got the secret ending where everyone survives (except johnny) then there is no good ending in this game, they are all bad.
Agreed
I agree, I went through every quest turned down everyone just so I could get to Kerry and boy was I glad when I did lol truly pulled on my heartstrings, I miss him already haha
@@christopherharrington4699 Felt this, I almost “rushed” to get to Kerry and he definitely swept my V off his feet
@@spi141 the storyline and character development was just amazing, I felt I connected with the characters so much then any other game I've played. With being so alone during COVID it intensified my feelings for Kerry haha 😂🤣
Songs been in my head since i heard it the first time. So beautiful whoever wrote it. You can tell there is a story behind it. I can feel it.
I’m a cyberpunk musician
thank you, now i can sleep listening to his voice :)))
Idk why people don’t like the humming he sounds marvelous lol
Such a somber tune, can't help but bring out old pain and a tear to you eye. Thank you.
I'd call this, "Mellow"
Not sad or teary at all
It's funny that the people who said they played the game and they hate it because it's short and stuff also often say that they don't recognize this mission...
rushed the campain missions and did no side missions. You gotta be friends with Kerry to get it.
I feel so sorry for Kerry, he seemed like a good person trying to make the best of bad situation.
Everything about this scene was immaculate. The setting, the song, Johnny laying on the side of the boat just vibbing, the peace before torching the thing.... I rarely get immersed in the atmosphere of games, but I sat here as long as I could enjoying the moment.
Panam is great but I feel like Kerry is the best romance option in the game. His relation with V has that little moments that make it feel so real.
yeah, as a female V I'm so frustrated..
Kerry and River don't berate you for choosing to become a NC legend, unlike Judy and Panam.
Thank you for this. While I'm working in home office, now I just have to restart it 8 times a day, instead of doing it every 5 minutes. You saved me so much time
Let me help you out with that. Get a Chrome extension called: "Looper for TH-cam"; it allows you to right click a TH-cam video and select "loop".

Honestly I love how this song is about letting go and releasing yourself from negative influences in your life. it's just so soothing and introspective.
Played the game when it first came out... Took me 3 years to find this gem
whats so cool about this game is that not only did they add this incredible song, they also accurately animated Kerry's fingers so he's actually playing the right frets. which means, i can learn this amazing song on my very own guitar :) thanks for this hour mix btw op!!
For real, that is what I was amazed at, when I met that guy at the market I was let eh and then I looked more at it and realised he was actually playing it, I learned it in a few hours and wow. Never had that experience in a game
For me it's like "Again fucked by life, huh? Before you'll face the world, stay and listen. You deserve a moment of calm".
Good luck guys
This song is full of closures, feels like a bittersweet feeling of victory over the life that Kerry live under Johnny Silverhand’s shadow, feels like a passionate love song for a long lost love that he couldn’t get over with, but at end feels like he was freed, anyway, this melody is very deep
bem isso, eu com craw 2014. dps disso td foi so vi cm trabalho. zero conexao real.
Sad that this game will have such a negative memory because of the problems on release
One of my favorite games I’ve ever played tbh, which is hard to come by considering how many I’ve actually played
same here! absolute top 10 for sure
coming after finally playing the ps5 version and WOW. this game is so good. such a shame the launch was so... yeah.
ALRIGHT I'LL BUY THE DAMN GAME ALREADY! YOU SOLD ME, HAPPY?
look into the world, into the dysopian ads, the random people staggering along the street, clearly hurting.
listen to the news and the picture it paints, and read between the lines.
The broken nature of the world fits a little too well with the at times broken nature of the game.
dont do it. ive played it twice and had a load of fun, top 3 games if not 1 for me right now. if i had the choice id wait some months till they fix stuff up and get dlc. trust me you wont regret it
Buy it
Wait enjoy the game as it was supposed to be. Just pretend 2020 never happened and that it releases December 10 this year
Also buy phantom liberty and yes I’ll be happy
When I first played this part of the mission. I was in a trance. Felt like a RHCP classic that had never existed.
I was wondering why I liked this tune so damn much, comparing it to RHCP makes it make a lot of sense, now! Can't believe I hadn't drawn that comparison, myself.
Ooooof fkng course. Frusciante vibes. Spot on
This has been my sleep track for over a year, and only now did I see this comment! Feel kinda dumb tho, since I'm such a massive fan, yet I never put it together!
I just wanted to say that I listened to this for hours and hours while writing my novel, anytime I needed to chill and feel some tranquility for my imagination. It helped me a lot, thank you
When this happened to me in the game i felt so fuckin at peace. This is a moment tthat shows this game is so much more.
So true
This quest and the quest "Chippin' in" (The heart to heart with Johnny) are my favorite moments in recent gaming history
Thank you for posting. I'm Bi Polar and something about this song closing my eyes and taking some deep breaths helps ground me a little and even though things are rough sometimes I appreciate it and much love to you :3
Me too.
You can hear someone playing the riff in Dogtown shopping alley. ❤ And Kerry made it big once again.
Really? I'm gonna check it now
Happy to be somewhere where i don't get hate for loving the game
I don't understand why people hate it to begin with
those dudes who hate r just missing out ahahaha. games so good it made me make cyberpunk rock music even got a song similar to kerrys boat song, I make alot of my own Cyberpunk music : rock, ambient and trance. remixing chippin in as well very soon and also gonna complete the kerry boat song ;)
Been listening to this for nearly 3 days straight. The serotonin it gives ❤
This episode litterally broke me. As much as the rest of the game, it's wonderful. As a man, i never loved so much to cry. Thank you, and thank you for all these emotions in this fucking awesome game.
Moments like this is what makes this game so special for me
Honestly this song is the reason I got into the game. Stumbled upon it on accident, fell in love immediately. Getting a silverhand tattoo soon. Thanks for turning me on to such an incredible story. I play this on guitar all the time and It really helps calm me down when I’m feeling bad.
I absolutely love Kerry, he's such a perfect character and my all time favorite romance options in ANY game

Bro i never expect a song can hit so hard like this masterpiece
No doubt, one of the best videogame ever made. Yeah, lot of problems when it came out, but today is a masterpiece.
this is a tune i regularly have come back to for two years now. love this game so much
He who has friends is never truly poor.
True, but kinda ironic given that kerry is rich as hell and only "really" became friends with johnny 60 years later lol
Facts
Cyberpunk 2077 is a Masterpiece. This game brings me so many emotions.
This is such a beautiful song even without lyrics...
When i heard it for the first time it almost made me cry (heard it here, I didn't have the luck to experience it in game yet)
It has a great vibe and a little sad undertone which makes it so good.
An entire world and universe expressed in a single riff.
Genius.
