- We went to Stockholm Sweden to watch a football team called Hammarby. We experience the Swedish Hammarby ultras at the Tele2 Arena and it was surreal moment!

@@LukeFoster1 As a hammarby supporter, hammarby-djurgården is the most entertaining derby. Aik-djurgården is bigger and has more rivalry but djurgården almost always looses so its not as exciting.

Im an expat and moved to Sweden 15years ago, I now take my son (finally old enough) to most of the games! We stand in upper Ultras, he’s 10. Atmosphere is amazing

I've visited that stadium once, about 10 years ago when my team (GIF Sundsvall) and Hammarby was in the second tier. The game ended 2-2, where Hammarby caught up from 0-2.
My ears were still ringing one hour after the game had ended😅

Great vid lads! Welcome back any time. As the majority of the posts here u should defently see Hammarby vs aik if you want to experience the biggest derby and best ultras group in Sweden. The battle between aik and Hammarby ultras has increased over the last 6-7 years in whos doing best tifos. Both groups are doin jaw-droppin tifos. They surpass themselves every year. Its almost like theres no bar to be set.

The reason that Allsvenskan isn't as "good" as Premier League is because the best Swedish players play outside Sweden. Those players go to Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, etc.
Alexander Isak, for example, playss for Newcastle, Zlatan Ibrahimovic plays for AC Milan, Emil Forsberg plays for RB Leipzig, Robin Olsen plays for Aston Villa, Dejan Kulusevski plays for Tottenham Hotspur (on loan from Juventus). Only a few play for Swedish teams. Sebastian Larsson and Mikael Lustig play for AIK and that's about it. Larsson played has played for Arsenal, Birmingham, Sunderland and Hull City between 2004 and 2018 while Lustig played for Celtic between 2012 and 2019 before going to KAA Gent and then to AIK. Some former players in the Swedish national team played for Swedish teams such as Andreas "Granen" Granqvist (Helsingborgs IF). He was probably one of the best defenders our national team has ever had.
As a Hammarby fan, you lads from England cheering for a better performing teams in europe, actually have the humlity to acknowlegdge that leagues like "Allsvenskan" and this is really huge for the Nordic scene.
Sweden might not have the best football, but without a doubt have the most equal football league in europe if not the whole world, since we have the 51%/49% rule.
Which means owenership of the club gives 51% to the fans and 49% to the investors, can't speak for Denmark in that regard since I don't know how it is there.
Regarding Swedish/Danish fans, we probably have the loudest or most insane derbys in the northern hemisphere.
Thank you for bringing the word out, because I cheer for Hammarby, but as a unity regarding supporter culture everyone stands togthere, and the Nordics needs to be reqognized more.

Hammarby - AIK is crazier i would say
One of the nicest experiences you can have while in Stockholm
If you want to experience a true swedish derby then I reccomend going to the AIK - DIF Derby, both clubs were founded in 1891 and have a deep hatred for one another. But if you wanna see a battle of the Ultras then it's AIK - Hammarby derbies you're looking for.
Skillnaden är att tvillingklubbarnas derby i stort sett alltid slutar i vinst till aik
It should be added that a lot of clubs' supporters are really good in Sweden, but none perform like Hammarby's on a weekly basis. The other clubs are more dependant of big games to show proper support, whilst Hammarby are always on a high level, no matter what small town club they play.

I'm Hajduk fan but maybe the best derby I went to for atmosphere was Sampdoria Genoa. Only in England do you not get fans like this
It feels like it would be underwhelming after just being to a Prem game, but maybe the energy is making it seem like its bigger then it is.

Great vid lads! Hammarby, AIK and Djurgården are pretty equal in terms of amount of support in Stockholm. Pretty.
All derbies have their own touch.
Djurgården - AIK: Some great bit of pride in this derby. Both clubs established in 1891. Same amount of league titles (12 each, Hammarby has 1 league title). Considered by the vast majority of their own supporters as the biggest derby not only in Stockholm but in the whole of Scandinavia.
Hate through and through but some sort of respect for each other aswell defines this derby.
Djurgården - Hammarby: Since 2013 both teams share Tele2 Arena as their home ground. In general not appreciated by any side. But the stadium is, as you know by now, ace. The acoustics are spectacular. Both teams have increased their gate by a massive margin since moving from their old grounds. This derby was never a special one in Stockholm until 2013. It's arguably the most infected one right now. Pure hate between fans.
AIK - Hammarby: While Djurgården has a clear support all over Stockholm and are regarded by themselvs as the "Pride of Stockholm", AIK and Hammarby have a more local dominant support in the west (AIK) of Stockholm and the south (Hammarby) of Stockholm. AIK and Hammarby differ themselvs from Djurgården through their love of the drum as a mechanism to create and maintain an atmosphere on the stands. While AIK and Hammarby ultras are a bit south-european orientated in their style, the Djurgården following have a more anglo-saxon manner and mainly use their voices (plus the tifo and pyro that is a strong factor on all three Stockholm terraces) to create an atmosphere. In other words, AIK - Hammarby is merely the "drum-derby" of Stockholm. Mind you, this derby is getting dirtier by the years. Just the other month or so it kicked off big time on the stands after their derby at Friends Arena (AIK). The antagonism is escalating between both sets of supporters.

@@LukeFoster1 Djurgården and AIK ultras were playing pyro tennis at the last derby. Djurgården vs AIK will always be the bigger derby. Hammarby fans will try to include themselves in the conversation, however the rivalry is not as strong as they were in the second division for many years.

Try and go to a home FC Copenhagen game one time, preferably against Aarhus GF or FC Midtjylland. Usually, the best games are against BrøndbyIF, with whom Copenhagen share the only real derby in Denmark, but Brøndby's ultras have collapsed and are banned from, plus the club is being sold to Americans, so its all going to shit...

The fans of allsvenskan is world class but the football itself is pretty bad, about the level of championship. The biggest and most heated derby in sweden is Djurgården - aik.
