It should be added that a lot of clubs' supporters are really good in Sweden, but none perform like Hammarby's on a weekly basis. The other clubs are more dependant of big games to show proper support, whilst Hammarby are always on a high level, no matter what small town club they play.

Get tickets to a derby, Hammarby - AIK, or Hammarby-Djurgården.

Try and go to a home FC Copenhagen game one time, preferably against Aarhus GF or FC Midtjylland. Usually, the best games are against BrøndbyIF, with whom Copenhagen share the only real derby in Denmark, but Brøndby's ultras have collapsed and are banned from, plus the club is being sold to Americans, so its all going to shit...

You should go to the Skånederby (south of sweden). The atmosphere there is amazing! It is between Malmö FF and Helsingborg IF.

The reason that Allsvenskan isn't as "good" as Premier League is because the best Swedish players play outside Sweden. Those players go to Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, etc. Alexander Isak, for example, playss for Newcastle, Zlatan Ibrahimovic plays for AC Milan, Emil Forsberg plays for RB Leipzig, Robin Olsen plays for Aston Villa, Dejan Kulusevski plays for Tottenham Hotspur (on loan from Juventus). Only a few play for Swedish teams. Sebastian Larsson and Mikael Lustig play for AIK and that's about it. Larsson played has played for Arsenal, Birmingham, Sunderland and Hull City between 2004 and 2018 while Lustig played for Celtic between 2012 and 2019 before going to KAA Gent and then to AIK. Some former players in the Swedish national team played for Swedish teams such as Andreas "Granen" Granqvist (Helsingborgs IF). He was probably one of the best defenders our national team has ever had.

Well one should be aware of the fact that Hammarby fans are laughed at by everyone else in Sweden. Known as an "event club" owned by Americans. Known for having a majoroty of new suppoters with no history with the club. And of course, most notably, known for being a loser club that has never even won the league. The laughing stock of a nation - Hammarby IF.

This was a decent match but nothing crazy. Derby days, oh how we love and hate the derby days.

It feels like it would be underwhelming after just being to a Prem game, but maybe the energy is making it seem like its bigger then it is. Still, its only 30k sitting and 2k standing.
