So it was an expression of optimism for the future, amid the sorrow of leaving an old loved arena and struggling to stay alive in the 2nd division.
Not long after moving to the new arena, Hammarby managed to secure promotion and has now established itself in the later years as a top team in the 1st division. So it’s fun looking at that old March knowing where the club is now vs where it was then.

Kennedy is of course Bajens greatest player in modern time, and is the only one that even comes close to the likes of Nacka, Ronnie Hellström and Kenta Olsson. But I still think Nacka is a greater icon. Not that it's any competition in any way, since they come from two different generations and are great for different reasons.

At 9:15 when you said we must have won a championship or something, that was the quarterfinals of the Swedish Cup when we beat one of our biggest rivals AIK on penalties. Our goalkeeper had just scored the winning penalty there. Hammarby doesn't have a history of winning. We've only won one title in our history, 2001. But unlike some Swedish clubs, our support is about more than winning games.
Also to answer your question about when the tifos happen, usually they'll happen in derbies, in our case agains Djurgården and AIK, and maybe some other big games, like IFK Göteborg or Malmö. There's usually also one in the first home game of the season. They take a LOT of time and money to create and are made completely for free by supporter groups. It's unfortunately impossible to have one every game.

Hammarby IF refers to Hammarby Idröttsförening, which translates to "Hammarby Sports Club".
Hammarby IF itself are a team from Södermalm, which is a working class area of Stockholm and they pretty much represent the southern, working class parts of the swedish capital city. That's pretty much why they have a great unity within their fanbase, which is also well connected with their club. Hammarby never won much silverware (I think it's only two Allsvenskans (the Allsvenskan is the domestic top flight there)), however they're more about bringing the people together, more than every other club in Sweden I know about. And that's why they have such a fanbase and that's why I kinda like this club.
