- This is a virtual comparison video of the Ferrari SF-24 and SF-24 EVO, with both single-seaters filmed on the date of their respective presentations. More than one person has asked me to compare the SF-24 “Version 1” that hit the track in February 2024 with the new arrival SF-24 EVO. Having the material available, I decided to follow up on their request. Once again, I would like to point out that the SF-24 vs SF-24 EVO footage has no specific chronometric measurement and does not consider infinite technical factors. You are about to see videos taken more or less in the same positions, with the same driver in action on the Fiorano circuit. So watch the video as a "simple" visual comparison, one more opportunity to find any differences in the setting of the curves, in their cornering speed and if you can perceive a substantial evolution between the two single-seaters. Questo è il video del confronto virtuale Ferrari SF-24 Vs Ferrari SF-24 EVO con entrambe le monoposto filmate nella data delle rispettive presentazioni. Più di una persona mi ha chiesto di mettere a confronto la SF-24 “Versione 1” che è scesa in pista a Febbraio 2024 con la nuova arrivata SF-24 EVO. Disponendo del materiale ho deciso di dare seguito alla loro richiesta. Ancora una volta tengo a precisare che il filmato SF-24 vs SF-24 EVO non ha nessun rilevamento cronometrico certo e non tiene conto di un’infinità di fattori tecnici. Quelle che state per vedere sono riprese effettuate verosimilmente nelle stesse posizioni, con in azione il medesimo pilota sul circuito di Fiorano. Guardate quindi il video come “semplice” confronto visivo, un’occasione in più per cogliere eventuali differenze nell’impostazione delle curve, nella loro percorrenza e se realmente si può percepire una sostanziale evoluzione tra le due monoposto.. Buona visione! 😉

Mi fanno morire quelli che vedono differenze di performance tra una versione e l’altra. Ammettendo che in entrambi i filming Leclerc abbia fatto un giro spinto allo stesso identico modo (impossibile), già solo la differenza di temperatura tra maggio e febbraio avrebbe molto più peso del guadagno del pacchetto “Evo”.

First of all, Thank you Italiansupercarvideo for another tremendous video put together! I really appreciate the effort in making it. 🙂👏👏 An important aspect is this: the SF-24 launch car was much colder in February. SF-24 EVO in May has much hotter temperatures. But as from this very good comparison. The SF-24 is much easier to drive: better traction, better braking and more planted through the S before crossing the bridge. And the right-hander after the bridge crossing it seems like it goes smoother through it. And it might only be for me. But the engine for SF-24 EVO sounds more aggressive?! 🤔 Let's see in Imola, but from this viewings, it is a step forward in performance. Forza Ferrari! 🙂🏎🏁
Thanks, I'm glad you liked the video. As I wrote in the video, it's comparative footage without any pretence. There are too many climate differences, and we also don't know any parameters of the car and what they were testing, especially on the EVO package. Having the footage of the SF-24 at its debut and now in the updated version, I still thought of putting them side by side. As for the engine sound, I can confirm that both versions sound the same; I had different microphone settings. In this last video, you can hear a more powerful sound because it amplifies everything, including the background and environmental noise of people and the road next to the track. I'm considering whether to return to the February configuration regarding the films in the future at Fiorano.

The car is fast through the corners but losing a lot on the exits, the lap feels somewhat the same, i think they weren't pushing 100 percent.

Muito difícil ver a diferença, pois são ângulos diferentes.
Acredito que a única forma seria com a câmera onboard, porém como não é algo oficial e sim um teste, não creio que tenham disponíveis essa perspectiva. 😃

For some reason the EVO looks slower then the base model to me, idk if its on purpose or the upgrades are failing the car.
But lets just hope for the best..

I read that the SF-24 EVO version lapped slower than the SF-24. However, this was a day to test many new things, not to look for the best lap time. Let's wait for Imola to see if Ferrari has worked in the right direction 👍

Sarà che non ho l’occhio del collaudatore ma io tutte queste differenze tra le due vetture non le colgo dal video, sulla pista di Fiorano la vettura a quelle andature sembra un missile..forse la versione Evo è meno scomposta in trazione in uscita di curva? Con le nuove bocche per il raffreddamento, il nuovo scivolo delle pance e il cd Bazzoka forse i maggiori benefici dovremmo vederli sul dritto

Infatti è fisicamente impossibile notare differenze tra una versione e l’altra. Impensabile paragonarle anche solo per la temperatura diverse della pista tra i due filming day.
Già solo l’asfalto più caldo di una decina di gradi (minimo) tra maggio e febbraio ha molto più peso del solo pacchetto “Evo”, quindi…
Concordo con le vostre corrette osservazioni. Penso che infatti la comparazione virtuale che avevo fatto tra SF-23 ed SF-24 era molto più indicativa di questa, al netto che non conosciamo nessun dato e parametro della vettura. Detto questo, avendo filmato entrambe le auto, al debutto e alle successive modifiche "EVO", con lo stesso pilota, sulla stessa pista, negli stessi punti (pur in mesi e temperature differenti) ho comunque deciso di fare una comparazione visiva. Senza nessuna pretesa, ovviamente 😉🖐

Il motore dice che in uscita apre prima l’acceleratore ora c’è capire se sia fiducia in più rispetto alla prima uscita o gli aggiornamenti che hanno dato i frutti! Per il resto Imola parlerà e darà la sua sentenza!

Lots of porpoising, in most corner entries and exits the SF-24 FASTER BY 1 TO 2 TENTHS APPARENTLY, MORE MAY BE DUE TO THE CONFIGURATION OF THE FRONT AND REAR WINGS, in my opinion SF-24 FEELS FASTER IN THE ENTRIES AND EXITS OF THE CORNERS, THAN THE SF-24 EVO.
From what I read online, the SF-24 EVO ran slower than the SF-24 when it was introduced. But as I explained in the video, you don't have to look for the best lap time. Yesterday, they exclusively collected data to understand if the changes on the SF-24 EVO were correct. We don't have any data or know what kind of tests they were doing.

Sono io che avevo delle differenti impostazioni nel microfono. Ti confermo che suona esattamente come la SF-24 della presentazione a Febbraio.

I had two different microphone audio settings between the February presentation footage and yesterday's. Ignore this. I confirm that the SF-24 EVO sounds exactly like the SF-24.

@@timo7641 Yes, the microphone sound is undoubtedly more powerful, but the downside is that more background noise enters, such as that of the street and people talking. I'll do some tests to figure out which one is better.

Speriamo di vedere ad Imola il buono dei cambiamenti introdotti. Detto fra noi, quei "patacchi" HP messi alla bell'emmeglio sull'ala posteriore non si possono vedere, era meglio la scritta Ferrari, ma capisco che per quel grosso quantitativo di denaro a Maranello non si sono messi problemi.
