- Welcome back everyone - we are finally back on track after the longest break yet! It feels so good to drift again! Bought my first car at auction and pumped for what we have coming this year!

The whole self centering aspect has to do with the s550 stock steering rack. The whole “crowd plow, crowd killer, etc” moniker that comes with the mustang is because of the steering rack. It has an issue with snapping from lock to lock uncontrollably. You can control it because your James Deane but if you want it to drive better you have to do upgrade the steering rack. Watch Adam’s video from like 5-6 years ago when he took his gt350 drifting at OSW on the oval and he couldn’t control the thing to save his life. But good on you for doing some crazy shit.
What sort of upgrade would be needed? Does anybody sell an all in one package or do you have to use a rack from an older model or something?

About the selfsteer, i once added wider semis on my 2013 mustang on a airport and that was the only time it selffsteered with enough grip on the front tyres was my guess. But i kinda like it when i ma the one who steers and the car isnt trying to take control over my inputs. I am drifting it stock tho i dont have a angle set. Only KW suspension and cooling was improved. I think it teaches you also a unique skill only few drifters have. Almost non of my friends can drift my car without the selfsteering. It teaches smoother more controled drifting in my opinion.
This shows us just how much James wants to win the FD championship.

Those mt82 transmissions are absolute glass from what I’ve been told. They don’t do too bad under stock power but you may want to look into something else in the future for longevity

Cool James Dean, perhaps to get a real feel of the drift car you'll be driving is adding the Roll Cage to stiffen Chassis. Since it is a test car on off season. The cage adds weight, and might have to add horse power. James Dean Congratulations on a great purchase, and good to know your arm is 💯% normal and great that your back on the saddle again.

I'm sure someone has to have already told you about the oil pump gear, but if they haven't, that needs to be replaced for drifting.
What kind of Radiator? Just find one for up to 2014.

You should get with VG jr and see about getting some of the old carbon fiber rtr body parts and some of the other parts and make his your new Drift Masters Pro car

You should get this car as close to the pro car as possible get the same angle kit. The same rack and power steering and keep getting it to feel like the fd car so that way you can properly practice
