Thinking of switching to square….I’ve had so many issues with clover lately. Tickets will not send back to kitchen, and online ordering is so screwed up. My customers haven’t been able to use online ordering for a week!
I wouldn’t Square has been having the tendency to shut down accounts without warning and withholding funds you should look more into the horror story’s around that brand
I've used Square for over 7 years and honestly, I recommend them. I'm in the process of acquiring another business and will definitely be using Square there with integrated kiosk and kds features.
I came here to see the comments and then i went witb square. So far, it is extremely easy to set up. In a day, ive already cataloged half my inventory wirh sku numbers... just like a real store.
Don't even touch Clover. The merchant service support is horrible. They always have outage on busy hours. It looks like they support and data center is in UK. If you have issue with process credit card, it would take 3-5 days to receive respond from them. Look like they have one one person handle in the merchant service department and the name is Skye.
Are these all paid comments against clover. I am using it without problem. Now customer can see, what they are paying for. Square is very slow. Clover looks better in my shop and also, I am saving at least 50% on payment processing compare to square, which I had before.
@@Naz1970-e9jif you work with a local credit card processor that is a resaler of Clover, you should get better support. You also have a help button at the top of your device and you can have them contact you. I feel Clover is way better than Square plus less expensive
DOES NOT MATTER WHAT SYSTEM YOU CHOOSE! BUT HOPEFULLY YOU WILL CHOOSE THE BEST COMPETENT ISO--THE ONE THAT ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT AND ONLY DOES PAYMENT PROCESSOR 24/7 (HELP W/TECH ISSUE/FEES CLARIFICATION). AVOID BANK INSTITUTION ISO. THEY ARE 9-5 EMPLOYEES.
@@nabi2180 Hi guys. I work for an ISO. You can get Clover directly from the manufacturer, which is Fiserv. Their processing rates are almost the same as Square (2.3-2.6% and $.10 per transaction) and Clover has their own support. Not awesome, btw, but they can remote into your devices to assist. ISOs can be resellers of Clover and also provide support, like our org does. ISOs can also purchase Clover products and resell them at lower rates and you'll also sign an agreement with the ISO for rates that may be lower than Clover/Fiserv will charge you. Square isn't supported by ISOs, so you're only going to deal with Square: their rates, their support, their equipment. Hope this helps.
@@nabi2180I’m pretty sure you can get square without an ISO but I’m not sure about Clover she’s right tho the machine doesn’t really matter it’s the ISO that matters the company I work with is the biggest clover distributer so everyone within our company works with clover and we have access to technicians with Clover and within our company who are available 24/7 and we have an app for support 24/7 with live responses. A lot of these other companies are too diversified and don’t know enough about the systems they actually use
Clover sucks. Ive used it for a year. Multiple internet dissconnections. Multiple hardware glitches like dissconnection from the customers lcd pannel. :( ive lost money with clover.
We just finished our balance sheet for the year and Clover cost us $5,400. I will advise EVERYONE stay FAR away from Clover. We are STILL getting charged random fees and we are trying every day to find out why after going back to Square over 6 months ago.
@@JetlinerXif you dont mind me asking what exactly are you paying for? Are you leasing the system, are you paying for processing fees and if so how much? And also who is doing the processing for you?
Stay away from Clover. It dropped my sales at least twice, and they charged me fees that I didn't agree to. They would bulk process my transactions, and I could never correlate the deposit with the sale.
@@lelecoq8434 Square... I tried Union Bank, Clover/First Data/, Chase Bank, GoDaddy, and then Square. Square is the easiest system of all, most flexible, and reasonably priced. I bought the small reader and put it on the dock, and it looks really professional. I won't ever change now.
@@gonzilla83 That's ok. A small business can just use the Chase credit card acceptance program on their phone on an ad hoc basis, and without significant fees. It works for me.
Me too. Support is even terrible. They sent me the whole bells and whistles. I return them to sender. They claim they did not received. How they are harassing me for payments that I did not use their service.
A customer I supply to told me the same thing yesterday. Their POS wasn't working even when the internet was still up. And Toast, from what I hear is expensive when adding multiple terminals.

Is it possible/recommended to get either of these POS without an ISO?

Don’t advertise if you have no costumer service, just try to call. I am almost 2 hours try to contact but unfortunately it is not possible
