I'm kinda glad this scene is exclusive to the anime; not only does it allow screentime/action for Izumi and Tosaki, but also for Kei's IBM, which is far more epic than the scene of mistrust in the manga. It was able to flow smoothly and stay in tact with the story. The anime has stayed loyal to the plot and characters, just the fact some scenes were revised to provide more action, which I'm not complaining, although it's nice to read over the manga to see the original storyboard.
+bel0vedl0veless Since you seem to have read the manga, do you know if the manga story goes beyond the one in the anime? I can't wait for season 2 haha
I find this scene weird in the larger scheme of things. In the manga, Kei and what's his face both join the government to fight sato. It seems strange that they would both run from the government and join them. Also, in the fight, the humans with their shields react to the presence of an IBM even thought they should be invisible.
***** They joined forces because Sato himself is a big threat that the two can't handle by themselves alone. Also add in the fact that Kei wanted to use their help for his own advantage too.
+takzag01 Gotta love how -- for a split second at least -- Tosaki treated them as humans. How? When there's nothing humane about shooting kids? I say that because Tosaki panicked and forgot that shooting them doesn't end their life even with successful shots from a bullet. The tactic would've normally worked...If he were dealing with humans. All he did in his panic was help reset them from the effects of the tranquilizers. Big whoops!
This show got me so hooked that when I watched the last episode of this season, I got really anxious and irritable with everyone around me because I wanted to continue watching more episodes but they aren't out yet. That's just the anime/manga disease that most people get though.
Ok, I saw this anime's first season on netflix and I thought it was absolutely amazing. But I can't seem to find any news about a season 2. In fact, I can barely find any news on this anime at all. It seems really underrated. Does anyone know when season 2 is coming out, or has that not yet been revealed?
It takes time for them to not only write up the script, but the storyboards for the anime. Even if it's an adaption, they still need to modify a lot of things. This was released 2015, so why would you think they'd have any talk about S2 ready this fast???
+iBeFloe yea and companies usually have the scripts written and wait a few years for their audience to grow while producing new content in between. As well they may rewrite the script and change characters storys depending on their popularity. Also i agree as well this anime needs to grow, the animation is wiered but makes awsome fight scenes due to how it looks realistic
-xTOASTYBURRITOx - Not all companies do that lol The only time that happens is when it's with a movie or popular tv series OR if it's a SUUUUPER popular book/comic that never got passed through to become a movie. Ajin does not fall under a movie or TV series & it does not fall under a SUPER popular comic book either. S1's of animes are usually trials & they don't get the a-okay until they see how well it's received. I think for the animation, they need to make it look less like a new animator made it because that's pretty much how noobie animators animate. It's a weird 3D style. BUUUUT they DO make the fight scenes cool so if they could fix the animation, but keep it for the fight scenes that'd be wicked.

+bel0vedl0veless indeed they did a good job with the anime, too bad Ajin is underrated.

+Draktharr Haha, yeah it does. I read and stopped at the point where Kei and Ko flees, but it does go beyond the anime.
