Infinite was always well optimised for such a good looking game. Maintaining a locked 60fps was simple on even the most creaky old pc's. Can't wait to replay it on a handheld

I'd sit Bioshock 4 in New York City or London, with the scenario being the leaking of Rapture's technology into the "normal" world. I think it would be interesting to play as a detective tracking down plasmid-enhanced criminals. Maybe it could be set in Chicago as a alternate reality take on Prohibition era unrest.

Just got infinite and watched this as it downloaded. Jesus, it looks good. I always keep it mind the switch is a handheld so for ports I never over anticipate or get over hyped. They did infinite right, it looks so crisp in my opinion and I've played it a few times but I just like having my switch and all these great port overs because I get to replay my favorites in a new way with a fresh start and I get to re-appreciate them.
Again, great coverage guys! Congrats again on the 100K! Also, may I just add, I picked up Bioshock 2 based on your Performance Review and Impressions and I'm blown away by how well it's playing in handheld. I changed the sensitivity to 8 at the start, to try and get that quick and easy aiming, however, in handheld mode, without the gyro, I've found it almost impossible to accurately aim. After playing with it for a few hours, a slightly lower sense on handheld allows me to be a lot more precise - maybe that's why it's defaulted as the slowest thing I've ever felt XD
Super happy to hear Bioshock collection and borderlands collection both run well on the switch. Having played the Vita version of borderlands, I was a bit worried. Now we'll have to see how Outerworlds plays next week
Congratulations to 100k subscribers! Now I'm thinking of getting the whole Bioshock collection on Switch. I've never played Bioshock yet. I feel like I'm missing out. Good thing they did a great job porting this game. I can enjoy it on my own playing on handheld.
Just a note. God rays are god rays. Chromatic Aberrations are the colored fringes you see at the edges of frames caused by the light refracting at different wavelengths through the lens of the camera.
I think a bioshock in space would be quite cool tbh, could go with a retro futuristic artstyle, maybe set it on a massive spacestation or something along those lines.
I’d set Bioshock 4 in both Rapture and Columbia like Burial at Sea Episode 2 but more expanded. I’d make it where it’s like rapture and Columbia but it isn’t at the same time (“constants and variables”). I’d have Sally be the main character and instead of Columbia be a cult have it run by Daisy Fitzroy and have it as an anarchist state while rapture is run by comstock after he and his flock fled from Columbia

Enjoyed this game back in the 360 days. Currently have a copy to play through the PS plus games - time simply hasn’t permitted me to get stuck into it. However, these days I play switch during commute etc - nice to see this running well on switch. Think I’m about to drop my hard earned £££ on this game again. Apart from being incomparable to stick aiming, looking around with gyro looks so much more like when you look around turning your head. It’s easier on the eyes especially with 30fps games. I only use the stick to turn around or to quickly look around. Looks so much more organic with gyro.
I can't see why it's that surprising that Bioshock Infinite has been nicely ported to the Switch seeing as it was released on the Xbox 360, and as many keep pointing out - the Switch is more powerful overall than the 360.
No shit, your deduction is wrong tho when you have games like Saints Row The Third and Assassin’s Creed III having performance issues on the supposedly more powerful Switch. If anything, your comment just showcases how ignorant people are when it comes to the work and commitment that requires porting games to the Switch, to put it simple, all these games have to work with the Switch in its portable mode which is where most of the troubles arise. In short, it’s not about the Switch being “more powerful” than last gen consoles. It’s about how competent and committed the team that makes these ports really are.

The concept of the lazy port is well established, but when they put as much effort into say, Witcher 3, which couldn't have been readily achieved on the 360, then the perspective becomes clearer.

I think there should be a 4th one with Andrew Ryan in it who runs Columbia like Rapture, and then Father Comstock running Rapture like it was Columbia... And have you visit both alternate worlds. I think that entire intro sequence for Bioshock Infinite is one of my favorite intros to a game in recent memory.
