This is probably Saitama when he has time to contemplate. He's always looking for a worthy fight, but deep down even if he were to ever find it, he would still feel empty. It is only in his moments all by himself that he realizes that he is his own worst enemy, yet a hero. How can he defeat himself? That is something one punch can't resolve.

Why does this feel like the ending of one punch man
This is the theme that played after Saitama reversed Boros's Roaring Star Cannon, it also played during Mumen Rider's encounter with Deep Sea King, but i assume you mean the first one, as that took place at the end of Season 1.

One Punch Man is different
Unlike every superhero anime, they either have protagonist struggling with villains, eating special food to get power, or even a final form of the hero. Every time they save the world, they get fame.
OPM doesn’t have those cheesy moments.
Saitama punches the monsters and dies.
Whenever saitama saves the Universe, no one cares.
Saitama didn’t have any special experiments or eat anything suspicious, he just worked out non stop.
In the latest chapter, it has very intense moments where Saitama gains more strength instead of powers.
One Punch Man is definitely the change of anime superheroes

Edit: I did finish the anime and am still reading manga. Tbh, the serie wasn't like I expected, something like Mha. But that doesn't make the serie any worse. I think it has a fun story and I like spending time on reading the manga. I always liked comedy, so, I'm glad I got myself into this ( •́ ‿ •̀)
Edit 2: finished the existing chapters and still do read the new chapters that come. But gotta say, the last chapters kinda feel... I don't know. I don't know about the author so I can't say what he's thinking but the last chapters(~160) give me an empty feeling. I think those plot pieces need to get re-written.
