The Deck I took into my first ever competitive event and defeated FP True King Dinos with...I was heartbroken when Iris and Joker got the ban to sell Miss Helmet and Linearization Electrumite(but considering I pulled her multiple times I wasn’t needing to hunt for her). With The new Banlist, this is the only Deck I have I can really use as the rest all require pieces out of my current budget, and it’d cost too much to get a new deck even if I wanted one or the pieces to fix others.
@@Nephalem2002 blame konami for not making archetype specific links. The problem isn't just that Electrumite is generic, it's that they never made an effort with these decks. Btw, how is Halqifibrax not doing the same thing now? You go and try to build this deck without an engine completely centered around Halqi and see how that works out...
why don't we change our back ground for each deck, like while you are using a pendulum magician deck, we can have some magical circles at the background, which makes it look much better
Good to have pends back. The deck can function more smoother so its tier 3. They need Electrumite back to 1 and possibly autograph at 1. Pends still have almost no room for handtraps so they have to go big or go home.
This deck needs better support since they refuse to make them traps and better spells, full power pends in ocg still underpowered compared to the meta but at least they are playable.

The only way you can safely play handtraps and not brick every 1 out of 2 games is if they bring back Astro in full. That was the only time this deck played handtraps consistently.

A tech I'm trying is Fortune Lady Every, you can make it with Harmonizing + a level 3 (I run Timebreaker because his effect forces negates) Because a lot of the Pendulum Magicians end up in the graveyard as XYZ materials, Fortune Lady EVery can keep coming back and her effect is pretty good (its a non-targeting banish)
I'm gonna try that in my build (I don't have a second Halq, so she can fill the spot open in the ED). The deck already runs Timegazer, so adding Timebreaker's more of an optional thing to me though I DO like the card.

For the longest time, I just couldn't get into Pendulums for the life of me. I hated the mechanic when it was first introduced to the point of maining Vanity's Stun (before you ask, I was a 12-year-old piece of shit and I have _many_ regrets), but ever since I came back to the game 2 years ago, I've really wanted to dip my toes into Pendulums, but I could never find the right deck. - Pre-Electrumite, I was still getting back into the game, and was afraid complex effects and combos. Even if Pends were Tier 2 (I think?), I wasn't interested in anything other than PaleoFrogs and Invoked varients, basically. - Endymion was my first "real" deck years back, but for some reason the modern version just didn't do it for me-- maybe it bricked too much for my older, tryhard brain. Mythical Beasts were the most frustrating part-- I loved the gimmick, but I hated having my turn ended by Master Cerberus getting ashed or some shit. - Metalfoes were incredibly consistent, but seemed too weak going second apart from opening Super Poly. Builds also seemed hyper-focussed on building unbreakable boards and nothing else, moreso than other combo decks. I won't say it wasn't fun, but I'm more of a midrange kind of guy; putting all of my eggs into the 1st turn basket just felt... wrong. Maybe they'll win me over someday, but it's just a bit too far removed from my current playstyle. But modern Pendulum Magicians? It's like love at first sight! It just... ticks all of my boxes. For one, it has an interesting set of gimmicks. Beyond that, for a deck without any 1-card combos, they have consistency out the ass (Skullcrobat, Duelist Alliance, Pend Call, Wisdom-Eye-- this deck is practically 50% searchers)! They're hard to disrupt (especially post-Baronne; Harmonizing + Oafdragon = fuck your Nibiru), their end boards can be incredibly varied, and they have fantastic grind game tools in the form of cards like Oafdragon, the Pendulumgraphs, and the mere fact of Pendulum Summoning being a mechanic! Not to mention, even if they're primarily a going-first deck, their cards are so loaded with intricacies and versatility that even in duels where I'm going second, I feel like I at least have a decent shot if I play well. The lack of HOPTs on most Magicians, the "Dragon" Magicians' ability to pop themselves like Mystical Beasts after turn 1, their bullshit resilience to destructive omni-negates (even if those are strangely rarer these days), the chainblocking... they get so many tools to make them a more resilient strategy than most would expect. They even get some pretty solid outs to common monster protections through the use of Ignister Prominence, Time Pendulumgraph's send eff, and their various ATK manipulation effects. (Not to mention, this deck can just deadass side 3 Lava Golem and Sphere Mode. Overkill? Sure. But Pendulums manage it, apparently.) Even if I haven't been playing this deck for long, it genuinely feels like one of those decks where sticking with it long-term will improve me as a player. Almost every loss and every win* feels... deserved. While I've definitely had my fair share of hard-fought wins and losses with other decks... there's just something different about winning with Pendulums. Something that feels more rewarding. There are other gimmicks that I like more, sure (Muskets and Mekk-Knights are the first to come to mind), but as far as first impressions go, I think I like Pendulum Magicians on the merits of their mechanics more than any other deck in the game. *(except the wins where I win because of Artifact Scythe, lmao) tl;dr... PONDOLOM BEST DECK LET'S GOOOOOO
The best part is that it's relatively cheap to assemble the core, and will remain so unless Konami suddenly wants to make the deck the starlet of the meta with some insane banlist moves or out of this world printings. It's a decently priced deck that remains relatively consistent no matter which cards get banned, as you said it's 50% searchers, which is why it took so many hits in the banlist. I feel the same about this deck, returned to the game in 2015-16 and hated PePe at first but I wanted to learn the mechanic because the idea of having monsters that worked like spells seemed really cool. But this was the first pendulum deck I really got into, back when it was the OEM version, and then I saw the dragon Magician cards announced and I loved it instantly. I played this pure for the majority of Zoo format in 2017, was one of the first people advocating for using 3x Astrograph, because the meta was targetted removal wit Zoo and True Draco, and it was by far the most entertaining competitive deck I ever touched. I especially loved how it was so easy to have a playable game going 2nd without needing to always draw into the side deck.

In my personal opinion, the Odd-Eyes package is not that consistent when you only have two level sevens in the deck. Also, Ignister Prominence really helps when going second.

Why are you using halqifibrax when it's banned in tgc? Learning that play will not improve the deck when we can't even use the card to then build to borrel. You would have to use wee witch or underclock taker but preferably wee witch to keep spellcaster up on the field to help with secret village of the spellcaster. This way if you had to stop summoning to avoid nib you can at least prevent them from using spells on the opponents turn w Easily.
You can’t really substitute Halqifibrax in this variant of the deck. You’d have to basically start over and build the deck from the beginning if you’re not going to play Halqifibrax

Si, es para destruir Iris en tu primer turno y buscar la trap, asi tb puedes buscar Joker y tener algo mas para lo turno seguiente.

@@idkjustputagoodname6120 zoroa...3x magistus zoroa...its an extender u can spec a lv 4 spellcaster from Hand or grave...then Equipe with the link...link says search another zoroa for pen summon then sync into savage...Equipe savage with the magistus link now u have a negate in u 3th summon...and go sec u can Equipe zoroa with the magistus exceed to negate any Monster
And then u can pen summon the one pen Monster back from extra and the one zoroa and link into halqi and make the Rest of the Board
