    What a treat these diaries are. I was 11 when The Fellowship of the Ring came out. The books and all of the films are such a huge part of my life I almost feel like I was there watching the production. If only lol it is officially my life goal to take a backpacking trip across New Zealand. I want nothing more

    • @Kyle_Hubbard
      @Kyle_Hubbard 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I was five here my dude, lol. I remember by brother showing me The Fellowship back in 05-06-07 one of those years and getting bored about half an hour to an hour into the film. I thought it was pure fucking shit, thinking why does he like this boring movie. Then years down the line I ended up watching one of the films, I can't remember how it came to be but it just did. Since then I've seen LotR twice maybe three times as the standard version and four to five times the extended. From there on I saw the hobbits standard once and watched the extended twice, owning both extended versions. I don't regret a single day.

    To Peter Jackson,
    If you ever read this, I just want you to know how excited I was when I heard you were making a live action LOTR. Tolkien has been with me since childhood, when my Father read the Hobbit to me. I was able to see The Fellowship of the Ring in theatres with him before he passed. 💔
    By the way, he said the actor who played a character closest to the book was Orlando Bloom as Legolas. Pretty high praise from my Dad. 😊
    When I rewatch the movies I think of my Father a lot. ❤
    Thank you for that.
    You are amazingly talented and have such attention to detail, I’m so impressed with this whole production, your crew and an absolutely incredible cast. Kudos! ❤😊

    I cant believe I'm only seeing this now, but at the same time it's quite fantastic to still discover more high-quality content to extend those Middle-Earth experiences delivered by Peter Jackson, which moved me so much... The amount of nostalgia and even saudade is nearly overwhelming when watching those movies aggain, all the DVD bonus, even those diaries... All that cast, all that gigantic crew, somehow feel like family ; or at least a family you've dreamed countless times to be a part of...
    I can only hope I'll be able to visit New Zealand (and Hobbiton, and Mount Ruapehu, and....) before the end of my days.
    Thank you so much to Peter Jackson, the whole cast & crew, and to all the lovely New Zealand people who brought their help (or even just permission...) for making this extraordinary, unforgettable and magical movie experience come to life. And utter respect to JRR Tolkien, of course...

Little clotheslines with Hobbit washing on the line, picket fenced garden plots with hobbit size wheelbarrows & garden tools, rustic, colourful letterboxes on posts at the gates of each home…What a delight. If you can’t get out to Hobbiton do stop to visit the Matamata Visitor Information Centre. Life size Hobbit building purpose built as Hobbit house/info centre. Authentic materials and workmanship down to one off beveled glass/stained glass windows, hewn wood furniture, solid wood oval doors etc. Picture perfect ! Waaaov!!! The job they had done was and is amazing! I couldn't imagine what it takes to create such a magnificent movie since I started to watch this blog I have started to understand a bit. And we only paid like 40 Turkish Lira for this. Amazing!

    I've seen all the vids as well and, again, I can't believe there is so little comments or even views ! I mean, really? Anyways, this is great to give us folks the opportunity to follow the crew through the shooting of this film. I read the Hobbit when I was 8 and it was the most enchanting reading experience I ever had. Good luck to you all to wrap it up, and I'll see you on screen (I'll probably curse you after movie one for having to wait a year for the next, but it's nothing personal...)

    So this high lights what would have been some sort of life form back in the early days of the world because the land scape of New Zealand is as aged as time and the Hobbits are some astounding people that you could well imagine being back then, stunning movie
