I feel like something people are forgetting to consider is that this has all come to light. Part of the reason Reggie’s behavior had gone on unpunished for so long is because no one other than TSM employees and players knew about it, and TSM had the power to keep it that way. Now that everyone knows Reggie does this it will be hard for him to continue this behavior unpunished.
Nah he still can because all this did nothing to him. He even posted the results and him being known as a toxic person prob was just him rubbing it in like that loser who gets carried hard by his team while going 0/10 and shit talking.

Upset at how long it took to get some kind of punishment going for this guy but I can understand how it must have felt for the players then and now. Reggie exudes single child/man baby energy and isn't even a good player. Have always loved TSM and hope the players feel a little better.
You mean the washed up pro that skipped practice to go meet girls? Then got disciplined for it? Then said he was the unofficial best league MVP or some shit? Yeah good source there.
that old ass clip of regi bullying dyrus while he's streaming still breaks my heart. it would be surprising to me if he's never gotten into a physical altercation with someone he's disrespected on his staff. maybe im just really hoping he's at least taken a fist to the face
It was always shameful to me that Riot turned a blind eye to that back then. They wanted nothing to do with having to punish the most successful/popular team in NA back then, the punishment is long overdue at this point.
540 million dollar company got fined $75,000 dollars... what a joke. But thank god he has to sit through classes that don't matter and gets a two year probation that he will just sit through while collecting money.
From the first time I saw Regi's face, I knew he was an asshole. I could feel it in my bones. For years people told me that I was crazy, he's a wholesome dude and we've finally come full circle. I can't wait till other people I've been pointing out is exposed.
You realize you are just proven right PURELY on hindsight right? You realize that judging someone based on his appearance is fucked up and this hindsight doesn't prove your method is not dumb, right?
The only good thing to come of this whole situation outside of Regi's probation is LEC's audience sarcastically chanting for TSM/EU League just dunking on TSM in commentary
This whole thing can be summed up in Regi getting his ego checked in a massive way. It may not seem like a lot on the surface, but you also have to think that he prioritizes his ego and reputation. Do I agree that Riot's ruling is enough? No, but do I think, at least for now, it is sufficient? Yes. Riot took a "Death is too good for you" approach. Bruh lmao.
It's great because Riot essentially said "fuck around and find out." Guaranteed he is gonna fuck around and he'll be fucking done. The probation for 2 years was perfect imo.
It's probably extremely difficult to build a case against someone entirely based upon yelling/verbal bullying. However, the case would be much easier to pursue if there was evidence of discrimination since there's probably clear cut laws around the subject, hence why they went out of their way to see if there was such discrimination.
if you watch the old LCS TSM TH-cam series you can tell regi was an asshole when he fired the Head Coach of the LCS team and temporarily took there place, which made the team plays even worse because he thought he could do a better job.
Nah they fired Woodbuck and Parth took over, then Weldon...and that's the year TSM was at their strongest historically. Btw, every time "Coach" Regi steps in during a team slump, TSM almost always turns it around. There's a reason why people don't want Regi to step in, because he's just a bandaid fix. That being said, League TSM has been at its lowest for the past few years when Regi stopped stepping in.
Started playing League in S1 and even back in the day I always had this awful feel about Regi. Just seeing the way he acted, spoke etc made it kinda clear he was at least shady/douchey and possibly a bully too. There's people saying "It was just internal TSM stuff" but there were multiple clips that surfaced as back as 10yrs ago that showed his behaviour. Glad the truth finally came out but I feel it's a bit too little too late
People who say this isn't harsh enough...Doublelift makes a good point. To have any prospective employee be told, "Your CEO is an asshole. If he's an asshole to you, you can tell us here anonymously" is HUGE for a company. I would assume for the next two years this countinues to taint TSM's reputation and image. If there is a board on TSM they would rather try to vote Regi out asap than deal with this. Hell, I would imagine even sponsors would think twice before signing deals. Plus, what kinda employee would want to go to a place with measures like this in place?
You guys understand that Riot isn't the government, they can't kick the man out of his own organization? And as many of you mentioned, the money part is useless, so what's the difference between fining him 75k or 500k? Doesn't matter, it's just the cost of a few months earnings. Now the biggest thing you all seem to be missing is the fact that this money comes out of the organizations pocket, the same money used to pay their employees. Also, the harshest punishment Riot can give out is to kick TSM out of their tournaments (they could still compete in other tournaments), and now I need you to think about that for a sec. What does that accomplish, and who does it affect the most? That's right, it fucks all of their employees, and makes them basically jobless, with low future prospects. Most of the eSports scene is established, and most teams aren't willing to change their roster, and even if they did, they don't pay as nearly as much TSM does. So in reality, this is literally the best option. You humiliate Reggie, you put a stain on the organization by making public statements. Players who sign with the org will know that they're putting themselves in a potentially hostile environment for the price of a paycheck 10x bigger then anywhere else. Sponsors are also gonna back down and not want to be associated with Reggie if he doesn't fix his behavior. All in all, they basically removed him from daily operations at TSM. For his own benefit, he's never going to interact with anyone, and is just gonna get his earnings. If he intends to continue interacting with his employees, he's basically risking all of his money and the entire company's viability. He could become the nicest dude, and still someone could report him out of spite and end the entire team, so obviously he's just gonna play it safe.
I don’t think Riot is doing thing properly. They didn’t *clearly* stated any further consequences. I don’t have full understanding of esport operation but I believe I have proper understanding of organization culture. Organization culture cannot change with immediate action, they should allocate training of all staffs regarding of how to properly treat this behavior within their organization. For the parts that involve tournament and organizations, I don’t have proper knowledge but could only believe that Riot have legitimate authority to impose this action and potentially my recommended action.
Tbh double going off about how humiliating the tip line and shit sure is embarrassing for Reggie but as a currerent/future employee its nice to know that the ceo is publicly known of what he is and you have an ounce of power to keep things right for yourself with the tip line vs with other ceos.
Yea instead of something an unbias 3rd party can use to leash in inappropriate behavior is totally worse than a pre-planned contractual obligation that is defined by the very company that has the power to abuse legal loopholes to write up a PR stunt. Players and employees are contractually binded to TSM rules if they choose to sign, or by some other means, unable to catch a sketchy fine print before signing. Real life companies do this, and have done this for hundreds of years.
all orgs should have a tip line. an employer should never be able to degrade and humiliate an employee. if an employee is bad you fire them not humiliate in front of others. 75k and some bs training. hes been doing this for 10 years +
i think this is sufficient, this had proved that regi was the terrible person he was accused of. this will make it extremely hard on him to continue his behaviour.
As weird as the TSM phone line is, I think every job I've worked had some similar number to call. It seems like the LCS should have a phone line for any player/coach/staff member can call if they see anything abusive/illegal
You know, all the jokes doublelift made about regi a few years ago (read: around 2016) make much more sense now. For the longest time I was immersed in the league competitive scene and I remember several streamers making references to Regis’ behavior at the time. They were already telling us
4:00 seems like a mouthful of different points or parts, it seems to be mostly linked under the banner of aggravation but those are several different things in one bullet point
The punishment for Regi was way too light. They forced Rick Fox out of eSports for WAY less. Rick Fox did NOTHING ( it was his partner that fucked up) and he was Forced to sell his team. At the Very least Regi should of been suspended for 12 months without pay, fined $1+mill, and the other things. What Riot is saying is that they don't actually care, and their "punishment" is just window dressing to say they did something about the complaints.
and at the end of the day nothing mattered because TSM fired just about everyone that worked there, his sanction was a joke tbh. glad he is not in the LCS anymore but he should not be allowed in any league in any capacity what so ever
This is not enough. He needs to be botched from the pro scene. He should've got worse than this little thing called "punishment" by riot. I've hated him when he played and still hate him till this day.
The fine should have been for Regi personally, since now when they fined TSM they can pay the fine from players and staffs salary. Not Regis personal wallet
At the TwitchCon after party at Petco Park he passed by while holding woman on each side by the hip and said greeted my friend, an ex professional player, in a condescending manner 😅
regi wont change regardless, someone with that type of personality isnt going to change for the purpose of making his worklife less embarrassing. He wont do do it because of what he's already gained personally. its clear to say something is done about it but to be hopeful of the ceo will change his habits? no. There has to be a new leadership willing to look at better workplace practices and just overall not think about just the money. Which with Dinh its very clear it is money.
Wasn't it known that he's a terrible person/owner? Like just go back and watch the TSM documentary back in the Dyrus-Oddone-Xspecial days. He made people cry ON CAMERA throughout the documentary...
In Riots report they said all of the people they talked to confirmed his comments were related to performance. Imagine you paid someone a million dollars to do a job to discover they were doing it worse than you. Would you be upset?
DL is petty. While no CEO's abusive actions should be condoned and the investigation concluded it's all performance based. DL is clearly out for humiliation and drama. Lost all respect for DL
What I think everyone is missing is that "bullying" isnt really a legal matter. They cant stick him on that as a CEO. Its not like with players where you can be fined, suspended or banned for toxic behavior. Riot cant make him step down or apologize as they have no power over his private business.
Bullying is definitely a legal matter. It's "creating a hostile work environment" and is punishable by the labor board. Civil lawsuits are possible now that the findings of this investigation are out though, why do you think HR exists? To prevent fucking lawsuits from happening. $75k is fucking nothing for this org, it's a poke on the wrist
Not directly, but they have the power to remove TSM from the league, which would likely create the financial incentive for the organization to do it themselves. The precedent there being the Echo Fox situation, forcing an investor out-- if I'm recalling correctly.
Regi is a POS BULLY and nothing that happens will change him. Once a Bully always one as some habits never die. Cannot stand Regi and I hope he gets ousted from the Org.
Im not defending Regi and think it would be best that he be removed from a position of power in TSM to protect the companies best interests and brand, as well as its employee’s. But to assume that people can never change is a terrible mindset to have. it’s entirely possible he makes a change. Do i think that its a high probability? no. But people can change.
I said that as he is of the personality type that is unlikely to do it and if he shows that he has its an act until the eyes go off of him. Sadly been around way to many people like him and know that personality wise he is not the type to truly ever change. He is more of the type to put on a show for the cameras till he feels like the spotlight is no longer on him. Sorry thats what I see and sadly have way way way too much experience with people like him to know in my heart any progress people thinks he made towards changing is just an act.
I hope regi does some more bullshit during his 2 year probation. The dude's ego is so massive that it will come to the point where he will challenge riot or something.
all of the added sexual and race stuff added by TSM was a smokescreen to soften what regi was doing. no one said he was being racist or sexist he was just treating everyone like shit equally. crazy how i feel like no one has really pointed at this in the few things ive watched.

Grown “adults” who act like this don’t do it because they don’t know how they’re supposed to act, they do it because they’d rather just be obnoxious. It’s like the people handing out this punishment are thinking “oh well maybe we can teach him about how to be more sensitive, maybe he just doesn’t know how to act” BBBSSSSSS. That’s absolute nonsense. This is like if someone was a raging alcoholic drunk driver and instead of making him go to AA you make him take a defensive driving course. It’s so stupid lol

yeah sure or maybe a lot of people who are meant to be seasoned esports / competitive players are a bit soft but it's a bit weird coming from your own coach etc
Imagine getting hired by a company, and as they're getting ready to hand you the contract they let you know that their CEO and Owner has a pattern of bullying and there's a tipline set in place by a third party to monitor this bullying...
I would personally meet with Regi and say I own you. No matter what I will say you harassed me on the tip line. Your life will be over if you dont give me what I want 😈😈😈
Dude is loaded for life you think he cares?
prob made them sign ndas
@@cerberus8462 the fck you cant put your money when you are in jail my guy
Nah he still can because all this did nothing to him. He even posted the results and him being known as a toxic person prob was just him rubbing it in like that loser who gets carried hard by his team while going 0/10 and shit talking.
@@davewhispers7720 imagine his toxicity to his employee urges and then he realized he is being monitored for 2 years so he needs to shut that other person down before everything blows into his face
It's not all bad news for Regi. Riot also announced Regi is best Wukong cosplay NA for the 12th year in a row. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 grats bro
This is a definite "Death is too humane for you." approach.
Throwing him out immediately wont be a satisfying ending. Let him sit a bit longer while everyone else see him for an ABUSER he is.
Then maybe he could go ahead and resign
But knowing him, *he wont do that*
Riot doesn't have the power to terminate someone else's coporation majority share holder, doesn't matter how deep TSM relies on Riot to make a living. The punishment is basically the max what they can do, the penalty price could be higher tho.
@@haoye2413, They would not be able to terminate him, but pretty sure they have in their contract a clause that allows them to kick TSM(or any other team) out of LCS and any other RIOT game if he didn't leave. I would say also that SM needs RIOT more than RIOT needs TSM.
@@marcomonsanto In the current structure, TSM is a franchise team of LCS. It is a lot more complicated and expensive than you think for Riot to strongarm TSM shareholder and investor. NBA New York Knicks' owner is famous for being a giant asshole but it is still one of the most profitable franchise regardless of horrible record and shitty owner.
Honestly riot should have an anonymous tip line for all teams staff/players to ensure no one is getting treated in such a way.
How much you want to bet that the line informing new TSM employees that they’re gonna work for an abuser is gonna be on some random corner of some employee handbook no one’s gonna read at like -2 font size.
I don't understand why the tip line has to be exclusive to TSM. It should be available to players of all teams.
so basically they found him ACTUALLY abusive for YEARS, and decided to fine the guilty rich dude his weekly lunch money and everyone just go on about their business. neat.
No lmao, did you even watch the video?
Well , you can’t really fine a millionaire. But as said by doublelift those rulings by riot are a bit humiliating for a ceo
@@Vicenteprz who cares about humiliation when you have money?
They’re also at risk of having to sell their LCS Spot if they don’t comply. It’s literally Riot telling Regi “fuck around and find out.”
@@Lynch2507 um idk, his team’s spot in the league?
Keep in mind the LCS is franchised and Riot has the power to take them Away from teams
This happened with Echo Fox and we all know how that blew over
Thank fucking god. I remember seeing the chaox clip like what, almost 10 years ago(?) and being disgusted that Reggie is just something that exists.
Same he looks the part
TSM: we have investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing.
Cops: *slow clap*
if you watch the old LCS TSM TH-cam series you can tell regi was an asshole when he fired the Head Coach of the LCS team and temporarily took there place, which made the team plays even worse because he thought he could do a better job.
Imagine thinking an anonymous tipline being a punishment and not just a rational employee wellbeing protocol
Just curious, why not make the tip line for the entire LCS?
all orgs should have a tip line. an employer should never be able to degrade and humiliate an employee. if an employee is bad you fire them not humiliate in front of others. 75k and some bs training. hes been doing this for 10 years +
i think this is sufficient, this had proved that regi was the terrible person he was accused of. this will make it extremely hard on him to continue his behaviour.
They went easy on him.
As weird as the TSM phone line is, I think every job I've worked had some similar number to call. It seems like the LCS should have a phone line for any player/coach/staff member can call if they see anything abusive/illegal
"Riot's investigation" starts at 3:10
I mean with a face like reginald. You can literally judge the book by its cover. His face alone is already a major red flag.
Regi goes to show it’s not about what you do, but about who you know.
Calling people "stupid, trash, or worthless". . . .sounds like what my laners say to me when I'm jungling after they go 0-3.
Well I guess even if Regi is a retired league player he still is a league player
Imagine seeing TSM go 0-100 vs CLG knowing Regi can't call em shit for it or else he gets reported. They can literally take the game hostage.
and at the end of the day nothing mattered because TSM fired just about everyone that worked there, his sanction was a joke tbh. glad he is not in the LCS anymore but he should not be allowed in any league in any capacity what so ever
06:32 Ladies and gentlemen we have a Star Wars fan in the editing team. Big up to you my G!!
The roster stuff is kinda nutty too
This is not enough. He needs to be botched from the pro scene. He should've got worse than this little thing called "punishment" by riot. I've hated him when he played and still hate him till this day.
I wonder what "severely enhanced penalties" are and will a tip-off ever happen?
The fine should have been for Regi personally, since now when they fined TSM they can pay the fine from players and staffs salary. Not Regis personal wallet
At the TwitchCon after party at Petco Park he passed by while holding woman on each side by the hip and said greeted my friend, an ex professional player, in a condescending manner 😅
cant believe the outcome is JUST THAT like dude thats nothing for what he did
regi wont change regardless, someone with that type of personality isnt going to change for the purpose of making his worklife less embarrassing. He wont do do it because of what he's already gained personally. its clear to say something is done about it but to be hopeful of the ceo will change his habits? no. There has to be a new leadership willing to look at better workplace practices and just overall not think about just the money. Which with Dinh its very clear it is money.
I think Dyrus deserves an apology from Regi!
Wasn't it known that he's a terrible person/owner? Like just go back and watch the TSM documentary back in the Dyrus-Oddone-Xspecial days. He made people cry ON CAMERA throughout the documentary...
“He’s not a racist or a sexpig, he’s just a power drunk jerk!”
…Hurray!
Now the next vid will be DL getting banned from co stream for saying LCS is dead.
Imaging being the boss of the biggest esports org and calling your employees trash and worthless
In Riots report they said all of the people they talked to confirmed his comments were related to performance. Imagine you paid someone a million dollars to do a job to discover they were doing it worse than you. Would you be upset?
I love how riot cared after dl made a fuss. Like "lets take care of this nor bc we care but we need to look like we do"
Good, there's many more. Keep digging, but let's be honest 75k is an absolute slap for all the victims.
DL is petty. While no CEO's abusive actions should be condoned and the investigation concluded it's all performance based. DL is clearly out for humiliation and drama. Lost all respect for DL
"Yeah, this profitable partner of ours did nothing bad, take our word for it, just like you do with our own internal investigations."
all regi needs to say is that yelling is his coaching style and he's safe. all those 'pros' get more abused in their twitch chat
I was hoping to force him to basically resign from TSM or at least be made an example of.
The precedent there being the Echo Fox situation, forcing an investor out-- if I'm recalling correctly.
thats messed up. Regi shouldn't be involved with esports
I bet this helps the doublelift lawsuit. I was apart of putting this dude on probation and her tried to sue me for damaging his image.
EVERYDAY AT TSM IS A BANGER
id have anger issues too if i chose "Reginald" as my professional alias
So in summary in regis eyes he doesnt care about your age race gender sexual orientation etc. everyone is equally worthless.
Regi can't lock a gold card on TF but it seems he can lock in some deals with riot on this one.
Probation is huge considering when VAL goes to franchising
Regi has the emotional regulations of a 15 year old.
@@iLiftr Amen.

Hello Bannana? I think riot discovered ive been verbally abusing my teammates since S3
Wait the statement of unlawful harassment implies the existence of lawful harassment
Like Activision-blizzard investigating themselves an coming up with a "well it seems that we're basically saints"
all of the added sexual and race stuff added by TSM was a smokescreen to soften what regi was doing. no one said he was being racist or sexist he was just treating everyone like shit equally. crazy how i feel like no one has really pointed at this in the few things ive watched.
Riot with anti-harassment bylaws lmao

hasn't he exhibited this kind of behavior since he was still a player?
I fail to see where I should give a flying shit about this. So he was loud and rude, fine him 75k? How does that make sense?
Let them crumble and burn the longer he behaves that way the longer freeSM continues. Haven't watched lcs or even followed it in 3 years but assuming they still top spenders 0 progress
The whole concept of sensitivity training for people like this guy is a complete joke and waste of time.
I am similar to regi in a way, he simply doesnt care how you feel and he is having difficulty controlling his anger. I dont know if this is an illness but thats just the way it is and its hard to change when it is so innate.
Sensitivity training isn't about fixing abusers, it's about stripping thr ability to say "I had no idea" when the hammer does come down.
