Thanks to being a US puppet and fighting as a frontal state in cold war and then dealing with what came after (Taliban) we lost huge amounts of money and lives and US bombed our Northern regions too and on top of that they sanctioned us. China and Pakistan relations began in 1950 when Pakistan was among the first countries to start official diplomatic relations with the Republic of China (on Taiwan) and recognize the People's Republic of China (PRC) regime on Mainland China.
Pakistan used its influence to get China access the Middle East market in the Islamic world. Pakistan was at one point China's main bridge to the rest of the world. They also played an important role in bridging the communication gap between the PRC and the West by facilitating U.S. President Richard Nixon's historic 1972 visit to China.
The relations between Pakistan and China goes further back before Pakistan existence when Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the future founder of Pakistan helped get rid of Japanese propagandists agents working against China. The founder of Pakistan used his influence in the World Islamic Congress in Hejaz, Muslim's anti-Japanese war effort received a pledge of support from Mohammed Ali Jinnah. The list is endless!

Also muslims living in other countries peacefully is not always the case either (Bruma/Mayanmar, some western countries, Angola etc) But again I haven't been to those places so I won't judge unless I see it in person (seeing is believing they say).

US and Pakistan actually used to be close friends during cold war. We helped US and fought USSR in Afghanistan but US backstabbed us and we had to fight Taliban and terrorists continously for 18 or so years and on top of that Us bombed our Northern regions and they also put sanctions on us for getting our nuclear weapons (some came from China). and just when Pakistan and US relations were standing on the edge Trump pushed the edge and well here we are today.

What you don't know is what Pakistan wants. Pakistan is a geopolitical linchpin and we know that the geopolitical leverage we offer to the two superpowers is much more than a few billion dollars in monetary terms.
We need CPEC and we need the US so don't expect Pakistan to become a "battleground". We're prepared for this scenario.
For the US Pakistan is just a wall to keep the Chinese away from the Indian ocean. So they need Pakistan to be as impenetrable as possible for the Chinese. This means: No infrastructure, big army. China wants to make Pakistan a trade route to the Indian ocean. Also, if they are in full control of Pakistan, they will make sure the radical Muslims get the same re-education treatment as in Xinjiang. I bet the majority of Pakistanis is fed up with radical Islam and would be happy with the communists.
