This was timely. I want to change the front sprocket but didn't know whether I should mess with the hydraulic clutch mechanism. Your video showed me it's no problem. Thanks!
Great how to content, iv just bought 1200 mk1 bandit been sat in garage for 2 years, and you have covered everything I'm doing and going to do to mine. Cheers
@@bikedogtor1663 I am going to have to change my change cause as I tighten the chain it gets tight then loose. About 16,000 miles on my 2002 Bandit 1200. Got it used with 5,000 miles on it 5 years ago. The chain adjuster is on the last 2 marks from the end of the adjusting scale. So it is really stretched out. Nice Video, I was wondering what was behind the plate that covers the front sprocket.
Hey! Thank you very much for your video! I’m about to get my chain replaced but I wonder why you didn’t change the front sprocket first? Is there any specific reason? And what’s the rear sprocket nut size?
Hey there, the reason was that I forgot it before removing the chain. I don´t remember the nut size and the bike is sold, otherwise I would look it up.
Good video, easy to understand. Plan to change chain and sprockets on my 2003 gsf1200s tomorrow. What kind of chain lube do you reccomend? Thanks Kevin Paducah KY
If you have the proper chain and correct legenth the you cam feed it on using the old chain without taking anything off ? Unless you actually need to change sprockets. Just sayinh

I was just reading the factory service manual for the Kawasaki EX250J and they literally tell you to kick the tire in to move the wheel and take off the chain.
Lets synchronize the CARBS in the next part

I use whatever chain lube I find in the shops. In my opinion it doesn't make a big difference if its called chain lube. Have fun
Hi. Good video👍🏻 can i ask where to buy the tools you got.
Thank you. I bought them everywhere over many years so Idk
Wow that was probably the hardest way of doing that lol no offence
hi !!do you have a link for the chain breaking kit and the chain and sprocket set
Hi! Sorry no links but the chain tool is from "Kellermann" and I highly recommend it.
very good video. informative!
Thanks man
I forgot to put a mark like you did at 1:18 and now I have trouble shifting up 😐 any advice?
Change it one lower?
No grease on the axle? (Not saying youre supposed to I just want to know!)
Think I put it on but off camera. I usually do
There should be a second set of O-rings before the plate is installed! The video skips this so I hope you did not forget them.
Thank you and yes I installed them
Where do they go?
@@lpsbbydb on the pins between the outer plates and the inner plates. It seals to keep lubrication in and dirt out where the chain needs to move.
@@emmettturner9452 amazing. Thank you. I saw two orings on my teardown but didn’t know where they go since they fell down. Thanks again
Very helpful!!! Thanks a lot)))
Thank you I hope you can save some money and do it yourself
Brutal 😂👍
Alguien de México sabe el paso de la cadena y de cuántos eslabones es para la Suzuki Bandit gsf 1200 del año 2000

You always change the sprockets
Is that front sprocket nut 30mm? I need to go buy a socket.
32mm.
Was that a de-greaser you used?
Yes
Dude what type of chain did u used? Is that the 530? Or 630?
530 I think nothing else fits?
@@bikedogtor1663 I just saw another video about the 630 chain but yeah I think that the 530 is the one !
What did you use for cleaning it?
I use brake cleaner all over the place
@@bikedogtor1663 Thank you!

Bikedogtor Manche sagen aufgebockt manche anders rum... Bin ziemlich neu und deshalb frage ich. Thx

Hauptsache ein deutscher Videotitel und im Video wird nur "Englisch" gesprochen. 🤣
Schlimm sowas
