Quick question on postural feeding. If I let my horse graze on shrubs in a walk through the woods, can I be confident she'll only eat non-toxic plants? I steer her away from certain ground level weeds when hand-grazing, but am not as comfortable with woodland walks.

Hi Kalli. Great question! This is very much an individual horse thing! My horse Doc would never eat anything dangerous, my mare Wishes will eat Anything that is fresh. I have had to remove a few poisonous weeds from her mouth when we have been out walking. Grazing in the woods on a walk is a terrific idea but you might need to do some research first.
      Cheers Robyn
