    Excellent conversation, especially interesting to me is Bettina's historical understanding of the different horse training approaches. I admire her as a trainer and rider so much.
    Thank you.
    Also, I would like to be part of bringing awareness to how to have horses' letting go of their tension as a result of correct work. What I was taught, and practice, is all about releasing tension.
    My teacher shared from the Willi Schultheis/Fillis lineage, and he also studied with French masters Col Carde and JC Racinet.
    My own interest is applying the principles and techniques to solve all problems in a very wide variety of horses.

    I will rewatch this, Bettina. Thank you. One of the many things that struck me was your answer to the question: "Please define self-carriage". You went straight to talking about the ecuyer's own self-carriage. What a light bulb moment for me. I have the honor and the privilege of riding with Traudel Bongers who trained for years with Willi Shulthies. You echo each other in so many ways.
    Thank you, Wendy, for facilitating this meeting. Mary Ann Lambert, Reddick Florida

    So beautiful and so rich. The scope of understanding Bettina shares is a mastery from the technical, to the biomechanics, to the long intricate history of the sport of riding, to the trajectories to the nature of both human and horse. A National treasure. Thank you Bettina and Wendy ❤

    Years ago I rode in a weekend clinic with Bettina on a not so talented horse. She had lots of great ideas to improve the pair of us, even though we would never ride at a high level. Thank you for this webinar, lots of great discussion!

    Simply the best, most pragmatic discussion on the comparisons between Classical and modern dressage. I met Bettina some years ago and she was equally generous with her knowledge. Thank you for this marvelous webinar!

    I love that you say;
    "Bring him out to the light"
    And the method specific to the type of horse being trained.
    And "the emotion should not cloud the instruction."
    So much knowledge and wisdom. Too much to mention more as I could write a book!
    Thank you!!!

    Fascinating talk, and just shows how different thinking can be. Personally I am far more interested in the training Bettina talks about in regards to the biomechanics. Thank you for bringing to us.

    Floating somewhere in the heaven's from listening to Bettina sharing her knowledge and experiences. Thank you much Wendy for gifting us with Bettina's wisdom!!! I am an avid believer in nature training as soon as the horse has grasped all of its power and energy in the arena. Nature and it's energies provides everything needed and the teachings from the rider become one of complete harmony from withing for the horse. These are the things amiss and needed that Bettina speaks of with such wisdom. I loved the Webinar!!! ❤

    I've been taught inhad work, but also learned ground work as a teen. Ground work is all about the horse learning ADLs or activities of daily living with humans in our world. For me inhand work is just as she describes, it's therapeutic prehabilitation or rehabilitative for the body and is directly related to improving the ability to carry a rider in a diversity of ways.
