I was gonna say that too, he says it's not good in arena but if Paladin can play Doomsayer on turn 2 in constructed and have it survive I am pretty sure you can do it 10x better in arena.
+Kyrator88 The thing is that in constructed it's pretty common for people not to have minions on the board for a couple turns, whereas in arena they usually do, meaning it's easier to get rid of a doomsayer
+Kyrator88 They don't need 7 damage on the board, just enough damage to be able to take out the doomsayer with whatever they can play on turn 3, which if they've played a minion turns one and two is pretty likely. Doomsayer is also often used past turn two in constructed.
lets see. doomsayer dies to 2 magma ragers without killing them, while 2 moonfires can kill the ragers. that means doomsayer is worse than moonfire BY FAR! 2 mana for nothing vs 0 mana infite value? doomsayer is shit!
Kripp made an analogy. He said the cup was Arena, he then used a cup of water as a symbol for the collective knowledge about hearthstone balance. The analogy went something like this: I have a problem with this cup. There's no water in it. Now, I have this bottle of water, and I could pour the water into the cup, but I'm not sure if that's the best way to fill the cup with water. Maybe creating water out of thin air is better, or perhaps i should place it out on a rainy day? This is a play on what Ben brode said during his stream. Simply put, Ben acknowledged the issue of arena balance, but claimed that he didn't know if tweaking the rarities of certain cards was the best approach to balancing the game. Kripp insists that's the most logical and easy answer and uses his analogy to explain why.
A little upset that you didn't put in the Arena Analogy in this video. Had to look it up in the twitch VOD and it was well above accurate and hilarious
Rarities seem to be mainly for arena really. Due to the lower rates at which rares, epics and legends drop, Blizzard can somewhat control how strong cards are in arena. You wouldn't wanted to have everyone be able to get four BGHs in arena, or god forbid, 4 pyroblasts.
I had a fun game with Doomsayer, where me and the other priest kept stealing doomsayer so when the wipe occured, we would have the new turn 1. It switched sides 5 times xD
holy fuck I was watching at 20:29 and all of a sudden i wondered what time it was, i looked at the in game clock, remembered i wasnt playing, unfullscreened and it was actually 3:16 am
Well epic are more deck/class defining/key card (prep/shield slam/that new shaman 3-2/murloc war leader) or a really strong effect (doomsayer/ancient of war/doom...) pr some time just really dumb like that shaman murloc
Depends on what are you playing. Btw, zoo is strong deck since season1. You don't need any legendary for this deck. Check internet there are some different lists. Take one whoch you like
I've never commented so early in a Kripp video. Nice to see that most of the Memerinos are already here. BTW NICE VIDEO KRIPP WISH YOU REPLIED TO COMMENTS
Ah yes, the great island nation of Tasmania, I know it well. It was the major base of operations for the ANZACs during the 60s when they purged the main land of drop bears, dream serpents and man-eating spiders. We celebrated by putting some shrimps on the barbie with Crocodile Dundee, Bruce Barry and his wife Sheila in our capital city Sydney. Learn2Atlas pls Northern Hemisphere ;P
Kripp is seriously underestimating Babbling Book. A random Mage spell is almost always good plus you get a body on turn one. Blizzard definitely went with the lesser of two evils here.
He isn't saying that babbling book is bad, but that fireman's portal is going to be very common in arena due to the higher chances from they expansion. Fireman's has a extra bonus because it's a common and a class card. When you are in arena removal is premium.
Nicholas Rebh He did say the rarities should be switched though. So he clearly thinks Babbling Book is worse than Firelands Portal. In reality the Babbling Book is far superior. As Kripp will find out eventually.
he is using the rarity because rare cards are less common in arena. the portal is going to be strong because not only is it a removal it is snowballing the best class in arena. if this card was for another class that is different story because it could make another class better
Nicholas Rebh What I'm saying is that Kripp's wanting the stronger card to be the common. Take away the rarities and Babbling Book is indeed the strongest card. Therefore it should be the rare. Looking at things now though none of the Mage cards should have been common.
It's not impossible, you often just can't afford it because it is extremely unlikely that it actually happens. If you are in a position where Deathwing is the only thing that could screw you over it is still worth playing around.
It's more like "I'm already winning, so I may as well try to avoid a board clear the best I can." The most likely board clear in the situation is Deathwing.
(>^.^)> Hey Kripp how's it going viewer here! 10:10 Tasmania is actually an island that is part of Australia and not a nation itself. Hope you learn that from now and I'll watch you again tomorrow.
At 12:24, why not attack 6/4 boulderfist into 3/3 before healing it with lay on hands? could have a 6/7 after instead of a 6/4... and i can't see any two drop he could have drawn that would change the situation. Am i missing something or was that a misplay? (trying to learn, not be a dick)
i believe totally a misplay. at that moment i was just sitting and waiting for him to do exactly that and when he didnt i got a bit upset and cringy (not mad tho i mean u cant always see everything)
Sure that Doomsayer pretty well, but why would you need to clear the board when you can just play me? Theres no way they can recover from that. The good old tauntage absorbs all those tasty little Muster for Battles and my perfect 6 attack is BGH immune. And unlike that crappy Boogeymonster, i will stay BGH immune. What more could you ask for?
Tasmania, 10:20 the great island nation.
Closer to Australia than New Zealand. :^)
Doomsayer on turn 2, its like ur going first now. Triggers opponents
I was gonna say that too, he says it's not good in arena but if Paladin can play Doomsayer on turn 2 in constructed and have it survive I am pretty sure you can do it 10x better in arena.
YES I WAS HOPING THAT FACE WOULD BE A MEME
+Kyrator88 The thing is that in constructed it's pretty common for people not to have minions on the board for a couple turns, whereas in arena they usually do, meaning it's easier to get rid of a doomsayer
jesustheangryatheist
Yeah I'd like to know in what arena games people have 7 damage on board on turn 2
+Kyrator88 They don't need 7 damage on the board, just enough damage to be able to take out the doomsayer with whatever they can play on turn 3, which if they've played a minion turns one and two is pretty likely. Doomsayer is also often used past turn two in constructed.
Dude, why would you cut out the cup analogy?
revenge for skip the kripp?
www.twitch.tv/nl_kripp/v/81450245?t=6h10m29s
Link to the time in the stream he explained it.
WE HAS TO KNOW
god bless you, but why he did that? what was the topic?
+Daniel H ur mum lolz
I guess that Doomsayer validated his spot in the draft eh?
haHAA
I guess he was right all along.
Doomsayer is great. I love it to get played on an empty board only to get moonfired...
lets see. doomsayer dies to 2 magma ragers without killing them, while 2 moonfires can kill the ragers. that means doomsayer is worse than moonfire BY FAR! 2 mana for nothing vs 0 mana infite value? doomsayer is shit!
BUT WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE CUP?! TELL ME!!!!
I KNOW THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT WATER BEING IN THE CUP, BUT WHAT DOES IT MEEEEEEEAN!
Yeah can soneone he watched the stream say what happened?
www.twitch.tv/nl_kripp/v/81450245?t=06h10m32s

Just google 2girls 1cup
Damn Kripp is fucking Smart
Not in my watch, not in my house
And here I am stuck wondering how arena is like an empty glass...
keep em coming Kripp, your videos are fun and i learn from them, im getting to 5 wins most arena now from 2
12:30 Missplay, you had to attack with the boulderfist first
22:09 "A fight? Count me in!" "Not in my house!"
It's about time I got some appreciation!
15:15 "Id rather nerf that one"
Made me laugh a little
"It's almost as if his deck is fucking insane." Best quote.
Doomsayer. He's completely insanerino. I like him.
Thanks for putting out so much content recently Kripp!
His reaction at 10:56 is so brilliant
1:13
Skipperino Kripperino
Good to see Kripp playing the control game! This is how Hearthstone is meant to be played.
A little upset that you didn't put in the Arena Analogy in this video. Had to look it up in the twitch VOD and it was well above accurate and hilarious
666 Views?!?!
*THE END IS COMING!*
Nice one mate
a-meizing
ty i worked super hard on it
+ljaquos lol
Is that beam of light from above effect on Lay On Hands new, or is it just not usually visible because it's used on heroes most often? 4:52
I would really have liked to have seen that analogy of the arena and the glass ;p
"Carry the crap out of you"
What a mental image you make Kripp
dude kripp... Tasmania is part of Australia it's not its own country like New Zealand is.
Man I didn't know that the island nation of Tasmania was so close to Australia that's insane thanks for teaching me that Krip
15:31 I never took it seriously when TH-camrs talked about recording with no pants on.
I died when you said "hmm. it almost looks like.. his deck is FUCKING INSANE DUDE"
That paladin that attacked 1/1 instead of face... my brain hurts...
for all of y'all kriperinos' out there.... you guys rock PogChamp
take a slice and don't skip the kripp! 0:00
I wanted to see the cup explanation again, why did you cut it off Kripp?
I had a fun game with Doomsayer, where me and the other priest kept stealing doomsayer so when the wipe occured, we would have the new turn 1. It switched sides 5 times xD
Hmm what is about Ragnaros, the Arena-Glass???
15:30 Pantierino Kripperino?
Lol
So anyone else notice Kripp's not wearing pants when he gets up?
Was just going to comment that haha
Tasmania is part of Australia rofl Hahahaha
Geography in 2016 LUL
No one cares
fuck off into the distance thanks edgelord
Ikr? Triggered me hard
+zanesmith666 LMAO 666 CALLING SOMEONE EDGELORD
So, what happened with the example?
You know what's great for dealing with doomsayers? Me!
Kripp, do you ever post games to your youtube channel because of the conversation your having versus the actual game?
10:34 the wonderful island nation of Tasmania.....
I get some stuff having the epic rarity, like you could argue that cabalists tomb or tree of life requires a more skilled person to cast.
That T-shirt scared the shit out of me.
Where is skipp
His alarm is not going off for another hour probably
Carry the crap out of me? I imagine sitting on the personal throne and screaming: THE END IS COMING!
holy fuck I was watching at 20:29 and all of a sudden i wondered what time it was, i looked at the in game clock, remembered i wasnt playing, unfullscreened and it was actually 3:16 am
damn I wanted to hear the glass-arena analogy
Babbling book is better you can get the fire land portal from the book, if it was common you could play an all babbling book deck
Wtf! Why did you cut out the thing with the cup! I want an answer to why card costs are bs!
what was he saying about rarities and stuff?
Pretty sure if you lower attack after it's enraged the attack is lowered ignoring the enrage
"Hey Taz is closer to Aus than New Zealand! Hey I didn't know that"
Why not stealth on the Shredder?
1:05 "they will carry the crap out of you"
Well epic are more deck/class defining/key card (prep/shield slam/that new shaman 3-2/murloc war leader) or a really strong effect (doomsayer/ancient of war/doom...) pr some time just really dumb like that shaman murloc
Kripp said Tasmania was its own country. Im triggered
"Tasmania's an Island nation" - Kripp 2016 lololol
12:22 no trade before healing?
That feel when Kripp think Tasmania isn't part of Australia.
12:32 kripp misplayed. He had enough health with the boulder fist to trade survive with 1hp then heal with the 8 mana heal.
I live in Tasmania, it's a state of Australia
12:00 Zero kills. Back into the mix.
Are the plays very logical with Kripp or is he just a fast player? (I know there are cuts in the video)
Whatis Kripp talking about at 15:00 ?
The hero returns
Guess Kripp said the end was coming and someone gave him a black eye.
If there was a 0/7 with the effect: "If a 1/1 minion would take dmg this card takes it instead" it would be a Dudesaver.
Kripp never waits to hear how my day is going :(
I have 1700 dust what should I craft, can somebody help? I play Hearthstone only for 2 months and I dont know which cards are OP
boogeymonster
What kind of deck do you want to play? If you want to just get a high rank in constructed, try Zoo. Cheap and capable of legend
Depends on what are you playing. Btw, zoo is strong deck since season1. You don't need any legendary for this deck. Check internet there are some different lists. Take one whoch you like
lorewalker cho. OpieOp
If you want to do well on ladder craft popular decks like zoo or face shakan
I've never commented so early in a Kripp video. Nice to see that most of the Memerinos are already here. BTW NICE VIDEO KRIPP WISH YOU REPLIED TO COMMENTS
Tasmania, an island nation, you heard it here.

Learn2Atlas pls Northern Hemisphere ;P
I should invite doomsayer to the party! This blood elf is on fire!
10:22 Confirmed Tasmania is not part of Australia
Oh my god. Kripp said Tasmania. Yeah, we are a part of Australia but whatever. :P
Kripp is seriously underestimating Babbling Book.

why is his head black and neck white?
First time here before Skipperino FeelsGoodMan

Kripp various times says is impossible to play around Deathwing and now 19:50

why is there still no "k'erino kripperino"?
what's his outro song?
Did anyone in the chat bother telling Kripp that Tasmania is part of Australia?
The Island nation of Tasmania... Australia's closest neighbor
This is literally my constructed deck, except I don't have any adventure minions.
Was I the only one that really wanted to know where he was going with his example using a Hearthstone glass?
19:37 missed lethal :O
Kripp, Tasmania is part of Australia.
At 12:24, why not attack 6/4 boulderfist into 3/3 before healing it with lay on hands? could have a 6/7 after instead of a 6/4... and i can't see any two drop he could have drawn that would change the situation. Am i missing something or was that a misplay? (trying to learn, not be a dick)

skipperino, you're late
Tasmania is in Austrailia Krip Jesus
you play liadrin :O
Luv u kripp. Tasmania is part of Australia
9:15 It would've been a 12.5% chance that it would've hit doomsayer, not 25%
lol, Krip not knowing that Tasmania is a state of Australia
why would he conceal the selfless? even if it dies to the weapon, you have a shredder with divine shield and gorilla bot.
7:35
You did not SMOrc with the Orc.
Wow it's almost as if his deck is FUCKING INSANE
