Been searching for hours and this is the best video I have come across, for my needs. Trying to replace my old camera, laptop and old phone and all what you describe is the perfect solution for me. Subscribed and look forward to more videos like these.

It's a shame the screen mirroring doesn't have a way to match source like the Smart View. At least, I haven't found it...

How about trying it with a laptop? I tried Dex (with the standard USB-C to USB-A cable provided with the phone) on my laptop which has FULL HD(1920x1080) 120 Hz screen, and could get a 1080p at 30FPS(around) resolution only, which looks laggy for eyes. I'd like to get at least 60 FPS for better Dex experience, but sadly can't. So I wonder if it can be at least 60 FPS at 1080p or higher resolutions for Dex on a laptop... Making a video for that sounds good to you?
Also thanks for this detailed video, I liked it!

I don't have a Windows laptop to try that on. Cheers, Dave.

Thank you, David Harry, for a super clear and entertaining demo of S24 Ultra features super maxed out with Dex. Love the accent (best of all English accents) and Devo to boot!

Thank you for an excellent video. I will shortly be buying the S24 ultra and will also want to use it instead of my old laptop, so this setup is just what I'm looking for. However I will be wanting to use a portable monitor and wondered if you have any experiences of using one and if so any recommendations. I will certainly be buying both the case and screen protector that you have reviewed.

    Hi great video!
I have an ultrawide LG monitor however when I go to select display resolution on the dex display options it's only showing me fhd and HD+ none of the other options that you have.
    Any ideas as to why?
I'm using s24 ultra in uk by the way.
    Thanks in advance!

Hi, Jason. It could be the dock or cable you are using. Try using Good Lock to activate the extra resolutions. Check my recent videos, there’s one about 4K in DeX. Cheers, Dave,

Hello, could you test if with fullHD in mirroring mode it passes 120hz to the monitor please?

Hello my friend, I wanted you to guide me! My phone is S20fe, and as you know, 120 Hz... and my monitor is 144 Hz, and I use a 4-port, cheap Orico Brand C hub. When I connect my phone to my monitor with a hub, I receive a maximum of 60 Hz! I wanted to know what is the problem? Some people say that Hub Type C should support 120 Hz output so that you can get 120 Hz on the monitor! I wanted to see if it was true. My daily work is done at 60 Hz, but for gaming I need 120 Hz output so that I don't have lag.

As far as I'm aware Samsung phones only do 60Hz from the USB C port. It does not seem to matter if the cabe or dock can go higher, the phones only seem to do 60Hz. The Samsung DeX Station dock might do 120Hz in 1080, however I wouldn't know as I use 4K. Cheers, Dave.

@@DavidHarryDoes that mean that even with S24ultra, if your monitor supports 120Hz, you will not receive 120Hz output?

@@DavidHarry Hi David, thanks for your reply. My device is Samsung Tab S7 Fe, when using DEX, my monitor is not full screen in the "use screens separately" option, but in other options it is full screen. I am using hdmi cable.

@@user-bw9he6qy5c Hi. It might be the cable you are using. I have had USB C docks and USB C to HDMI cables in the past that have not worked correctly. All the cables and docks that I show in my videos work perfectly. Cheers, Dave.

    • @DavidHarry
      @DavidHarry  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@user-bw9he6qy5c Actually I’ve just thought. If it’s full screen in DeX, then the cable is fine. If you are seeing black bars at the side when in mirroring mode, this is normal as the shape of the picture is the same as the screen on the Tab.

Is it possible to see 2 screens side by side (portret modus) via an HDMI monitor?

There's an hdmi splitter that would allow u to connect it too 2 monitors but it wouldn't detect them separately they would both always have the same thing

Plug an ultra wide screen in 21:9 to a phone also in 21:9 (like the sony xperia) and no more black bands. Just a shameI can't find a portable screen in ultra wide else can replace laptop with smartphone and ultra wide portable screen.... if you want a desktop OS (linux, windows....) you can also get a VPS for some dollars a month and connect to it with remote display or things like VNC or similar on android...
