Thanks Brad! I try to watch you as much as I can and there's always nuggets of truth that resonate with me. I'm happy YOU found your new stage ... I can see you are the type to show up and give a 110% solo 🎸
Good morning Brad from Texas. Everyday you bring something in your videos l can relate to. When l first encountered your channel, l came at you kinda hard. I was probably having a bad day. Yet, you responded with some truth, that l already knew. I retracted and you responded again. I watch you daily. This video is 2 weeks old, but oh well. 😂 Keep up the good work. ❤
I don’t know how old you are. I’m 72. In spite of all the classic old man issues, I still gig the clubs in a cover band. I’ll continue until I can’t or just don’t want to anymore. I’m not putting an expiration date on it. I don’t know why God put me here or what purpose I am to fulfill. But I am who I am… so what else can I do but be me? I wish all of you the best of luck and hope good things for you. As for me, if at the end of my life I’m still a musician… then I have made it!
Keep doing what you’re doing Brad. You are helping a lot of people. We learn from everybody. I’ve been doing the same job for almost 40 years and I am still open to learn things from other coworkers and I do. Compared to me you’ve got a huge amount of musical experience and even if you didn’t you would still have some experiences that I didn’t have. Most of us love your channel. Don’t ever let the others get you down.
You are the greatest project you’ll ever work on. Restart. Reset. Refocus. As many times you need. Just don’t give up..believe in yourself!! Cheers Brad. 😎

People who give negative comments are looking for attention. BTW, I had cool moment while at my guitar lesson last night. Where I take my lessons is in a hundred year old house and you can hear what is going on allover the house. The house has another instructor and a person who lives up stairs. My instructor was helping me try to get out of my own way by not over analyzing my play. While I was destroying "Rumble" by Link Wray, I heard a bass player learning to play an ole Kiss tune. Turns out that it was Stanley Sheldon who was the bass player for Peter Frampton on the "Frampton Comes Alive!" album. How cool is that?
Nice one Brad , as usual . I'll try to add my cent and half . Somewhere, somehow, along the way, people forgot Music is not a competition (there will always be someone faster), neither about the gear, it's about the emotion you communicate. Contrary to common belief, Humans are not dumb and although we are all unique, we are One! Being a musician, have done all kinds of crazy jobs, in order to survive some periods, but ,every time I was out of the 'music world', I either learned something I didn't knew, or , met someone who knew much more than me, in almost any domain , electrician , woodworker, fisherman, farmer, engineer ,you name it ! An humbling and at the same time motivating experience. 'Some people get older, others just get better' . As you mentioned, our time in this beautiful , living Planet , is relatively short (but not the end) . I consider us musicians to be lucky to be able to do what we love, as a job . Humans appreciate when the work is done with love . Do what you love, and the work will be done well. Take care , keep rocking & stay Human ! ps sorry for my bad, long English, hope you get it ...
@@badbrad Thank you Brad, sometimes I wonder. Very kind of you to answer . Stay strong ! We 're all here because we appreciate you as you are . Keep up the good work!
Man, it genuinely troubles me how hateful, disrespectful, and dismissive some people can be. I’ve watched dozens of your videos, and they all carry the ring of truth, the stamp of experience, and the shine of wisdom. They’re packed with value for players of all ages-insightful, engaging, and entertaining. Unfortunately, that’s just the nature of the online world. There will always be detractors, critics, and trolls-just like no band or musician commands 100% approval from music fans. But your message about embracing each person's uniqueness is spot-on. On that note, I’d love to hear your take on David Gilmour. I was never a huge fan of him or Pink Floyd, but I have to admit-his solo on Comfortably Numb has a grand, majestic quality that transitions into a soulful blues feel in the second half. Rick Beato’s channel even ranked it the number one solo of all time. No blistering three-scale runs, no super-shredder riffs-just pure emotion from start to finish. I suppose that’s why so many consider Gilmour one of the greatest lead soloists of all time-if not in the top three. Would love to hear your thoughts!
I known guys that make an 89's peavey bandit sound incredsible. Rather have a great guitar and crappy amp. Deflect negative people and pray for them. Stay in the light stay in the positive. Balance is key In all things. Each soul is individual. That why we are each unique.
I generally dislike motivational speakers. My favorite being Chris Farley down by the river. I always find your words inspiring and deeper than they may seem at first. The perfect blend of working man blues and road warrior hired axe. 🪓
@ as do I brother. Hopefully soon my shout outs for you will have more impact. (Although you may need to distance yourself from some of my lyrics 🤭permission given and no offense taken). The extra cold snap has killed my playing/recording time for a month now, but I’m chomping at the bit.🐴
Indeed...haters gonna hate, themselves 🤔 love yourself people and love to play guitar!! You deserve it
Yes!

It’s a great solo and the impact the solo has to me is that it supports a very powerful song with a message and the solo helps nail that message home.
