    I think they don’t list specific gpu, ram, storage and psu models because of 2 reasons. One is because they probably just buy the cheapest parts that companies can offer them within Lyte’s specifications (for example they got the cheapest 4090 they could find because that’s all they really wanted). Another is because most people buying a pre-built wouldn’t care as much as people who would build it themselves, so they don’t want to put people off too much by using abstract names like “Strix” or “Windforce” or even “Aorus Master” since it’d throw them through a loop. They just say what’s most important. It would be better for us PC nerds to know exactly what you’re going to get, but for the average consumer, they really don’t care and that makes it easier for Lyte.

    • @Hello-ig1px
      @Hello-ig1px ปีที่แล้ว +5

      i think you are 100% wrong.
      The real reason is because they can only provide what was on sale when they were buying the parts.
      Look at this way, they list their GPU to be Founders Edition and the RAM as Corsair RGB.
      Then all of the founders edition GPUs and the Corsair RGM RAM is temporarily out of stock.
      This would mean that THEY CAN'T SELL ANYMORE PCs UNTIL THE ITEMS RESTOCK.
      When they don't list specific parts, it gives them a lot more options.
      If the Founders Edition GPU goes out of stock, they can just buy a Strix or Gigabyte card.

    I've never had an issue with Ibuypower PC's, they offer something similar to what you show. They do post they have the ASUS prime board. I checked their prebuilt, and had to customize it with extra case fans and change the power supply, and it brings it up to about the same price. INTERESTING ENOUGH, they give a disclaimer price once you put it in the cart. It says the graphics card will not be in the computer, but shipped in its own packaging to protect during transport. Looking at the video you have, when you pulled out the foam packaging I cringed a bit as I saw the graphics card move slightly. Given that is half the price of the system, that gave me some heebie-jeebies.
    Very nice video you did though!

    If I remember correct, whenever you buy a pc from a company WITH windows on it, they are not allowed to pre-install it. Yes, they can put it on there, but not go through the proces of setting it up. In this case it seemed like they did set it up. Maybe a somewhat slight misrepresentation, but I have no clue if companies go through the entire setup proces

    I’m not condoning Lyte with their issues …. But it’s not easy to meet a high tier reviewers standards when it’s easy for them to tear shreds off them for minute or big errors. Yes Lyte can correct issues, adjusts quality checks etc….. the main thing, as mentioned, is that the company listens and does the right thing. We’ve seen many PC Techtubers who build PCs rip into other SI or system builders etc….. yet in turn have their own builds critiqued and errors found. Yes people should get what they pay for, but also not be unfair about manufacturers when mistakes can be made by anyone!

    I just bought a pc from them for this exact reason. Crossing my fingers it has no problems. Also they do say on the website they may upgrade parts if the parts listed are not in stock.

      @Snoozynana My pc is awesome, came out great, and I would highly recommend them. Customer service was awesome. I asked for a better cpu, and they were able to upgrade it. The only issues I had were that my aio cooler was white in an all black build kind of an obvious mistake, and shipping took a lot longer than what they said. Although I kind of knew that would happen with pc parts being out of stock everywhere, and this was around Christmas time.

      If I were to buy another pc, I would definitely go with Lyte Gaming again. I would just be more specific in my build, making sure it's all 1 color, lol.

    • @johnnydeep3667

      @Snoozynana Nice. Another thing I would suggest is making sure all your pc parts are on the same tier list. I noticed a lot of bottle necking with their builds. For example, they have a r7 7700x cpu with a 4090 graphics card. You definitely want the best cpu you can get if you are going with a 4090. Samething with a lot of their motherboards subpar with their other parts.

    Hey, Ed. Would you mind telling me why do you think it is so crucial to enable high performance mode on your Windows? From what I've read, balanced is good enough if you do not want to stress your PC to the maximum at all times, even when idle.
    Could you elaborate a bit on it?

    • @iclxpper7513
      @iclxpper7513 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if you want max performance you must enable high performance so the pc gets stressed at 100%

    • @theskywalker8416
      @theskywalker8416 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      good enough but not the best you can get. It kinda basically hold you back from what you can have, even with high performance on, the PC doesnt run max all the time

      @blue-. ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@al98708 ?? yes it does, it’s not gonna do anything when you’re running intel integrated graphics and 4gb ram it all depends on the specs of your system, I play around with high performance and ultimate performance on my rtx 2080 ti and ryzen 7 and it’s always done me well rather than balanced and gave me at least +15 to 20 fps

    • @al98708
      @al98708 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blue-. I can tell u don't know anything about pcs just because u said ryzen 7, bro tell me the god damn generation. Performance mode only makes your pc run at full speed all the time, that leads to high power consumption and making your cpu stay at the highest clock all the time, which is not needed. Your pc is smarter than u and knows when to perform or not, watch some benchmarks about that before trying to say I have a bad pc.

    I used to work for Lyte Tech. Trust me, builders do not care. If it passes QC and we get our money, were moving on to the next build. Half the time we'll just say "Fuck the customer" and move on if something goes wrong.

    Personally, I feel like if I wanted to get a PC from Lyte, they would have to add a shipping option for Sweden because I am planning on moving there for some new opportunities. If they don't ship to Sweden, what alternatives would you suggest?

  • @CrivRex

    The honest* review is great for everyone. Not just for potential customers but Lyte can really work on improving. I already have a custom pc but if I were shopping and say this video, I would not go with Lyte.
