Lesotho MP proposes reclamation of Basotho territory in South Africa

- Earlier this week, a motion was raised in the Parliament of Lesotho regarding the declaration of the Free State, parts of the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Northern Cape as Lesotho's territory that should be reclaimed. Member of the opposition, Dr Tsepo Lipholo, says the motion is in line with the 1817 resolution of the United Nations General Assembly passed during a plenary meeting of its 17th session on the 18th December, 1962.

Claiming DeBeers mining industry is "performing" has nothing to do with the reality that the budget of the country of Botswana is subsidised by SA and that Botswana, a country of 2 million, is dependant on the industrial base of SA.

I am Mosotho from free state and my roots is from ka-Tshiame, Lesotho. My take in this is that those MPs lack nothing better to discuss, they are crazy and continue to waste valuableable time. They refuse to form part of South Africa and want to continue with colonial borders. Lesotho never had borders and that’s why they must fall under South Africa.
I am in full support of South African to conduct special military operation and annexed lesotho.
You must be out of your mind to think South Africa can send troops to annex Lesotho. Border issues are complex. The AU has an agreement passed in 1964 that says that colonial borders cannot be changed unless the two states affected agree, so Lesotho's motion even if approved by parliament is not achievable if South Africa does not accept it. Likewise, South Africa cannot annex Lesotho without serious repercussions.

Am Mosotho from Free State and i don't want to be Lesotho citizen, our ancestors where turned to farm slaves during colonialism and apartheid, now South Africa is where we belong and we will defend our state and it's territories even if we have to fight our own family members.
